Lemon & Thyme Chicken Wrap and Strawberry Lemonade
    Michelle B.

If you want something fresh and support local produce from Maui Farms, Fork & Salad is the spot. They have 3 locations, this Kahului one near Target is by my workplace and also Kihei and their new Lahaina location. I usually have my 2 go to's. I do love the Lemon & Thyme Chicken Sandwich (you can ask for it to be in a wheat wrap with no extra cost or Gluten Free wrap which would cost extra). If you opt for the wrap, there's no side salad but if you opt for the sandwich, they should include the side salad and a side of Kimchee Banana peppers. I usually ask for more because portions can be small. The ciabatta bread the sandwich comes in is freshly made on island but can be huge and even if I cut it in half, everything starts falling out so I prefer the wrap at times. The Ancient Grain bowl is my other go to. It's basically a Greek Salad but with Quinoa and Red Cabbage and it comes with Tzatziki sauce and a Lemon Herb vinaigrette. If you love soup, there's a Butternut Squash that's quite addicting, Tomato Bisque that tastes delicious like a Marinara sauce and if I need some protein, I opt for the Lamb Chili. Always ask for a side of Gluten Free or Sourdough bread! The staff here is always so friendly and accommodating. If it wasn't for the point system with my phone number linked, I don't think I'd come here as much. When I accumulate points, I'll usually hit the first tier and get a free cookie or free lemonade to redeem but I've also gotten a free salad too without protein if I eat here more often.

My go to place for healthy options. They give huge portions and are reasonable. My favorite is the Greek Salad with grilled chicken. I also love the eggplant parmigiana sandwich. It can be messy but so worth it. I did try the lamb chili but it had an after taste that didn't settle with me. Overall though they are a great place to get your healthy food fix!

Management never responded to me. It's been four years since they gave me tasteless old, dry steak, canned pineapple and mandarins, chewy old cashews, and cold hard bread. Still makes me nauseous thinking about it.

I wonder why some places have bad service it is because of one person who was at the register. Very rude and you can't ask any questions at all. We will not be back. That's why some restaurants you tried them once and you never come back.

The food is fresh, and the atmosphere is clean and inviting. We used their order online and pick up in-store option, and it was very quick! It was a 15 minute drive after ordering, and I could walk in and grab my order and walk out. I hesitated because no one questioned me, but I guess: who's going to steal lettuce and veggies? I actually loved this online option and will likely return, using that same service. It was so fast and easy! My only disappointment was that their "Cobb" salad has NO chicken. Crazy. This is the second time, on Maui, that I've encountered this excuse of a "Cobb salad". The very definiton of a Cobb salad includes chicken as one of its ingredients. You cannot prove otherwise. Any chef or professional cook can tell you that. Even Wikipedia defines it as such. Yes, I have the add-on option of adding chicken, but I'd rather it *came with the chicken*, and yes, *go ahead and increase* the price for $5.00. I'll buy THAT Cobb Salad. No chicken? It's not a Cobb Salad. And if someone is going to tell me it's for the non-meat eaters, 'kay, fine, but then DO NOT call it a COBB SALAD. I'd allow the name of maybe an "Un-Cobb Salad". That would be fair. We might as well remove the bacon from Quiche Lorraine or add tomato slices to a Caesar Salad, and label the results as the same as the original - which no, they would not be that at all. LOL - I guess you could say, I love my salads. I still would return, though, for the quality of food and quick pick up service, and yes, I will grumpily add the chicken. I might even sigh and huff as I exit the restaurant. (To be clear, I wouldn't throw attitude at the serving staff. They just work as they are trained.)

Friendly staff, inviting restaurant, and delicious fresh ingredients. The lamb Chile is truly amazing. Hey lost in the richness of its flavor second to its deep robust colors and textures. This is 5-star flavor.

We love Fork and Salad. For salads, I've been gravitating to the Chinese Chicken salad, or Beet and Goat Cheese salad. If not wanting to eat a salad, I'll do a sandwich and soup combo with Baked Ahi Melt or Lemon &Thyme chicken sandwich with a cup of Bacon Clam chowder. My husband is a fan of the Greek salad with chicken as a salad or in a wrap. The kids love keiki Grilled cheese with a mini Caesar salad. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and vibrant. The employees are super helpful and friendly. They offer complimentary slices of sourdough if you request it, and the kim chee banana peppers and side salad accompany the sandwiches. If you belong to a local gym, flash your gym membership card in the afternoons for a discount.

Im really confused as to why there are barely any greens in my salad. There was barely any greens base of arugula and kale. I did pay extra for onions but this salad build was mostly toppings.. I really love the fresh greens here but they really need better service and training on how to build a salad. It's hit or miss every time I come here. I have to cross my fingers to get a perfect salad.

Fork & Salad is my guilty pleasure, withOUT the guilt! LOL It is my go-to fresh and local spot to support. When you walk in, you are greeted with the awesome staff who are always there to help. Fork & Salad has a great menu filled with variety. I especially love their wraps, maybe because it reminds me of a healthy burrito but wow they stuff it with all the goods that you need to satisfy your cravings. Pictured in the review, I got the eggplant and goat cheese wrap. The goat cheese and eggplant balance one another, it is a combo that works and is very filling. I love supporting Fork & Salad because they specialize in fresh locally grown ingredients, which in turn helps our local economy. Always support local! #EatLocalEatHealthy

I am obsessed with anything local farm to table and anti-seed oils. This place hits the spot! I admittedly don't love salads, so I always get a sandwich from their menu. This time I got the eggplant one and it was delicious. All sandwiches I have gotten from here are VERY messy! But it's because they jam pack them with all of the ingredients so I welcome the mess. I wish I could bring my volunteer dogs in here (they're very adamant with the no pet signs) but otherwise it's a great meal.

TIKI DAVE and family loves TIN ROOF MAUI!…read more While our cruise ship was in port, we stopped in after I did some serious research to settle upom Tin Roof and boy were we glad! Holy smokes, that Mochicko Chicken [Hawaiian-style fried chicken made by marinating bite-sized chicken pieces in a sweet and savory soy-garlic batter featuring mochiko (sweet rice flour) before deep-frying] is the bomb! Super crispy bits, amazing flavor, served over garlic noodles...man alive, if you are in Maui and don't grab takeout here, you may as well not go to Maui. It is takeout only and my wife didn't want fried food so she ordered something from the Mexican joint across the parking lot. Since she ordered food there, we figured it'd be ok to eat our heavenly chicken dishes there....NOPE; we were asked to leave. BOO. So we finished, well, the kids finished on the way to nearby Kanaha Beach Park and I finished mine there under the airport and within sight of our ship. It really is a lovely beach. TIKI DAVE from TIKI DAVE'S TERRIFIC TRIPS highly highly recommends TIN ROOF! I will be dropping a video of our experience shortly! Our group ordered a little bit of everything - all with garlic noodles as the side since it seemed to very popular based on the reviews. We went with the mochiko chicken (animal style), spicy ahi poke, and pork belly. Mochicko chicken was good, but some pieces were cold and fatty which wasn't very pleasant. The animal style sauce was really tasty, and didn't overpower the chicken, it complimented the plate well! The noodles weren't very garlicky at all, definitely felt it was lacking flavor. Poke was good, but the pieces of fish were in pretty large chunks. Lastly, the pork belly was just okay. As a local, I think this place is a good introduction for tourists to get a taste of local flavors. But definitely hit up some other local spots even Zippy's for comparison. Maybe I just went on a off day. To end off on a positive note they do offer a few vegetarian and vegan options!

We were greeted as we came in and told to check out the menu and join the line when we were ready to order. Tables were on a first come first served basis. The server on floor was a man of many suits is what my granddad said. He juggled hosting, clearing tables, taking orders, food delivery service, phone orders, and serving meals. His service was very efficient and hospitable. Their menu is expansive which made deciding both easy and hard for most of us since their whole menu sounded great. We all ended up with their top sellers, the server knowing it was our first time to Hawaii recommended this famous Hawaiian dish. Something about hearing homemade gravy and burger patties along with runny eggs sounds too good to miss out on, with being name Loco Moco, what's not to try? Their famous smoked pork (what they are known for) glazed with this sweet pineapple sauce with a nice punch of heat was definitely a highlight for everyone at the table. We also got the Korean style beef ribs that's served on a hot skillets. The aroma filled the restaurant and definitely captured everyone's attention, this by far was my favorite thing on our table aside from the coconut cake which we had for dessert (Justin, tell your sister I need the recipe!). For seafood we got the Ahi katsu salad (we had to be somewhat healthy lol) it was nice and crispy on the outside. Sauces complemented the juicy flavorful dish so well. I never had papaya seed dressing before until today and I ended up buying my own at Safeway! Sweet, tangy, refreshing paired well with the fish. Hurricane mochi chicken was juicy on the outside and the crispy skin was coated with Hurricane sauce (Teri aioli sauce) so good my nephew bought a bottle to take home. Overall the food was amazing. Server checked on us several times, offering to go plates if you need them ( we didn't need it, we had a proper "mopsesh" ) Disclaimer: They serve their food on paper plates, trust me the food taste better on these plates. The locals next to us said that's what you call a plate lunch while watching our food hit the table Overall experience was great, the service was impressive, the food was amazing, and the place was neat and clean. Thank you Justin for sharing a piece of your family with mines. We will definitely be returning on our next trip. Congratulations with the restaurant expanding as well! You guys are an inspiration! PS: While you wait for your food, read up on their wall and learn a bit of Hawaiian History. They also have a portrait of Sparky's himself.

Not just any coffee bar but a Filipino inspired flavors and that they were from Maui as well, they were here with a neighboring food truck and found out it was their first time here and if all goes well they may return which is a wonderful thing to hear. Glancing over their menu I was indecisive between the "Turon" a banana lumpia inspired sip or their Ube Matcha Milk Tea with Oatmilk along with their Pandesal Breakfast Sandwich. As I watched them create my drink and make my breakfast sandwich I was sad not to see the green from the matcha as it looked like it was just a Ube drink and my breakfast sandwich was delicious though wished they heated up the pandesal a bit as it was just cold. The service is nice and polite as they made drinks quite fast and efficient, I do hope to see them return here as I really want to try the Turon coffee which I guess is the perk that Maui has. I've mostly given up my coffee ways lately, but I think I've found my new go-to alternative here -- their Ube Matcha Milk Tea. I've tried it with both oat milk and whole milk, and surprisingly, I prefer the oat milk version. It gives the drink a thicker, creamier texture and really lets the ube flavor shine over the matcha (which I love). The drinks come in pretty generous sizes -- 20oz or 24oz -- though I'd personally love to see a 16oz option for iced drinks. I've yet to finish a full 20oz before the caffeine buzz kicks in! My only other suggestion would be to add a touch more ice as it often melts before I can even get to my office. I also tried the pandesal breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese, and bacon, which was decent -- nothing too fancy, but it did the job. So far, I've really enjoyed my visits here. There's never been a line, service is quick, and I'm usually in and out in under 10 minutes. It's a convenient stop with some creative drinks you won't find elsewhere. Next on my try list is the Ube Taro Cloud! If you're looking to switch up your usual coffee run and try something uniquely Filipino-inspired, Kapwa Coffee Bar is definitely worth a stop!

It was the size of a small infant head! Let's just start off by saying this was the last day on our trip in Maui and I just wanted something quick and easy and on the cheaper side cause everything has been so expensive. So I looked up the food court and saw that this place had numerous different types of dishes and restaurants within the shopping mall. There's nothing really fancy about this food hall, it pretty much looks like a cafeteria. We come from San Francisco so we're used to food halls being fancy five star blah blah blah. This is definitely a bang for your buck kind of place. I could see that a lot of locals come to this place for lunch as well. Walking up to the chicken restaurant I walked up to a kiosk and ordered my food through there. It was about 15 minutes. I wanted to say until I got my food and when I saw it, my eyes grew so big! The chicken was so moist, and there was so much flavor that it was like bing bang in my mouth. I got mine very spicy so definitely if you're looking for spice to order it spicy. It's usually hard for me to pick something out of a line up of restaurants I've already tried before. So this time was easy. A name I didn't recognize appeared on my screen. Plus since I always want to try something new. Let's see what Hangry Joe's Hot Chicken has to offer this not so hangry yet, girl. So far so good, their stock photos look appetizing. I already picked out a list of items I'd like to try like the: Chicken Sando, Chicken Fingers, Chicken Wrap, Loaded Fries, Salad w/ Chicken Breast as well as the Loaded Mac & Cheese. As for my first visit I chose to try the Loaded Fries with Medium heat & my fiancé chose the Chicken Bites in Mild. Just to be on the safe side when trying out new restaurants as to what they consider to be spicy. I'll usually start in the middle & work my way up on spice. Mild or medium didn't have that kick I was looking for so I'll try hot on my next visit. Just not sure which item will win my pick just yet. However I am a fan of their logo & overall atmosphere. It's a fun restaurant to order at. They have 3 self serve kiosks to order from. The two on the outside are for ordering Hangry Joe's Hot Chicken & the one in the middle is for ordering off of the dessert menu. Which being that I'm usually not one to order soda. I was extremely excited to have an option to order a Thai Tea Boba from here too. So there's still plenty from their treat menu that I'm eager to try as well. My only suggestion I can think of is maybe having different size options to choose from. Cause my loaded fries came in a massive box. It was enough to feed me for 3 meals, breakfast, lunch & dinner. Dating tips: If you're on a budget take your light eater here for an inexpensive date & just take your leftovers to go. Overall my first experience was a good one & I'll work on getting my spicy lovers to sample Angry Hot. Until next time. XOXO, ChelsieFletcher
