Food was amazing I had a salad that I created so delicious also staff is fast and friendly

It's been a hot minute since I have stepped foot in here, but after todays 'snack', I am not sure why I don't come in more often! I had my favorite Kumu Farms eggplant and goat cheese sandwich as a wrap, sub arugula for mixed greens, add avocado, and was served by a group of very lovely and happy women. What a nice place! The wrap was absolutely delicious and I gobbled up the whole thing in a nano-second because I was so hungry for something healthy, and so happy to have found it amid all the corporate chain food options in town. There are so many options on the menu, in the salad bar to pick from, so this may be difficult if you are someone who overthinks things or has a hard time making a decision, but rest assured, it is ALL fresh and healthy, wholesome, with plenty of 'favorites' to choose from. They were out of the lamb chili today, so I will have to make a trip back soon to try it. And I just can't wait! read more

This a food safety and professionalism issue from 3/23/25 @5PM: A fly was crawling around on my salad while I was waiting to pay. When I notified the staff member who was making the salads, she replaced a part of the salad instead of remaking it and continued using the same gloves afterward. I clarified that fly was one more than that one spot and asked for a new salad please. She appeared visibly frustrated. I did not mind waiting until the person behind me was finished being helped, especially since she was the only other person in line. As someone who has worked in the food industry, I understand that situations like this can happen. However, proper food safety protocol would require discarding the contaminated item and changing gloves before preparing new food. This was not done. While remaking the salad, she whispered to a coworker, who then looked at me and laughed. That really topped of my experience. So my question is would you want to eat that salad? read more

If you want something fresh and support local produce from Maui Farms, Fork & Salad is the spot. They have 3 locations, this Kahului one near Target is by my workplace and also Kihei and their new Lahaina location. I usually have my 2 go to's. I do love the Lemon & Thyme Chicken Sandwich (you can ask for it to be in a wheat wrap with no extra cost or Gluten Free wrap which would cost extra). If you opt for the wrap, there's no side salad but if you opt for the sandwich, they should include the side salad and a side of Kimchee Banana peppers. I usually ask for more because portions can be small. The ciabatta bread the sandwich comes in is freshly made on island but can be huge and even if I cut it in half, everything starts falling out so I prefer the wrap at times. The Ancient Grain bowl is my other go to. It's basically a Greek Salad but with Quinoa and Red Cabbage and it comes with Tzatziki sauce and a Lemon Herb vinaigrette. If you love soup, there's a Butternut Squash that's quite addicting, Tomato Bisque that tastes delicious like a Marinara sauce and if I need some protein, I opt for the Lamb Chili. Always ask for a side of Gluten Free or Sourdough bread! The staff here is always so friendly and accommodating. If it wasn't for the point system with my phone number linked, I don't think I'd come here as much. When I accumulate points, I'll usually hit the first tier and get a free cookie or free lemonade to redeem but I've also gotten a free salad too without protein if I eat here more often. read more

The food is fresh, and the atmosphere is clean and inviting. We used their order online and pick up in-store option, and it was very quick! It was a 15 minute drive after ordering, and I could walk in and grab my order and walk out. I hesitated because no one questioned me, but I guess: who's going to steal lettuce and veggies? I actually loved this online option and will likely return, using that same service. It was so fast and easy! My only disappointment was that their "Cobb" salad has NO chicken. Crazy. This is the second time, on Maui, that I've encountered this excuse of a "Cobb salad". The very definiton of a Cobb salad includes chicken as one of its ingredients. You cannot prove otherwise. Any chef or professional cook can tell you that. Even Wikipedia defines it as such. Yes, I have the add-on option of adding chicken, but I'd rather it *came with the chicken*, and yes, *go ahead and increase* the price for $5.00. I'll buy THAT Cobb Salad. No chicken? It's not a Cobb Salad. And if someone is going to tell me it's for the non-meat eaters, 'kay, fine, but then DO NOT call it a COBB SALAD. I'd allow the name of maybe an "Un-Cobb Salad". That would be fair. We might as well remove the bacon from Quiche Lorraine or add tomato slices to a Caesar Salad, and label the results as the same as the original - which no, they would not be that at all. LOL - I guess you could say, I love my salads. I still would return, though, for the quality of food and quick pick up service, and yes, I will grumpily add the chicken. Delicious food and excellent service! We are so grateful to Maka for being extra careful and attentive to food allergies that our party had. We realized after we got the food that the pepper kimchi had fish products and Maka went above and beyond and remade the entire plate, just to be on the safe side. For someone that had spent the entire week being nervous about cross-contamination, it really helped put our party at ease. We got a chicken papaya and a steak sandwich. I was looking for something healthy-ish to eat and something that would also be easy to eat on the plane without a mess or a smell; so thankful we stopped at Fork and Salad on the way to the airport. I ordered: Buddha Bowl $12 quinoa, cabbage, carrot, wasabi peas, avocado, bell pepper, sun sprouts, mandarin oranges, edamame, miso-ginger dressing (gf, v) The bowl was filling, came with a slice of bread and tasty! All the ingredients tasted fresh and the bowl itself was a great combination. Don't worry, if you aren't feeling a bowl, they have sandwiches, salads and wraps as well. Soups too! read more

The food tends to be good. However, one of the staff members, Myrna, was incredibly rude to myself and other customers. It always puts a huge damper on the experience when staff is unhappy and unkind, which makes me hesitant to go back. Hopefully, management can address the lack of professionalism with the staff. read more

We love Fork and Salad. For salads, I've been gravitating to the Chinese Chicken salad, or Beet and Goat Cheese salad. If not wanting to eat a salad, I'll do a sandwich and soup combo with Baked Ahi Melt or Lemon &Thyme chicken sandwich with a cup of Bacon Clam chowder. My husband is a fan of the Greek salad with chicken as a salad or in a wrap. The kids love keiki Grilled cheese with a mini Caesar salad. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and vibrant. The employees are super helpful and friendly. They offer complimentary slices of sourdough if you request it, and the kim chee banana peppers and side salad accompany the sandwiches. Im really confused as to why there are barely any greens in my salad. There was barely any greens base of arugula and kale. I did pay extra for onions but this salad build was mostly toppings.. I really love the fresh greens here but they really need better service and training on how to build a salad. It's hit or miss every time I come here. Fork & Salad is my guilty pleasure, withOUT the guilt! LOL It is my go-to fresh and local spot to support. When you walk in, you are greeted with the awesome staff who are always there to help. Fork & Salad has a great menu filled with variety. I especially love their wraps, maybe because it reminds me of a healthy burrito but wow they stuff it with all the goods that you need to satisfy your cravings. Pictured in the review, I got the eggplant and goat cheese wrap. The goat cheese and eggplant balance one another, it is a combo that works and is very filling. I am obsessed with anything local farm to table and anti-seed oils. This place hits the spot! I admittedly don't love salads, so I always get a sandwich from their menu. This time I got the eggplant one and it was delicious. All sandwiches I have gotten from here are VERY messy! But it's because they jam pack them with all of the ingredients so I welcome the mess. Requested this be in a wrap, with the overflow as a side salad. Friendly staff was accommodating and happy to make substitutions; however, wished staff could be a little more helpful when I was overwhelmed with all the ingredients. They could provide suggestions as to which ingredients worked well with others or what could be substituted, and instead, I ended up arbitrarily choosing items that I was uncertain of. Self-serve water is available. Dine-in or take-out. Hours of operation are daily from 10:30a to 8:30p. Located in the Pu'unene Shopping Center, Fork and Salad shares free parking with Target. Discounts are available: enroll in 5-Star Reward Program for future discounts, do 15 jumping jacks in the store (!), provide proof of gym membership with purchase after 3p, or access promotional discounts on their app. I loved the variety of choices for eating healthy, as there is something for everyone! I look forward to making my own salads and trying other signature salads, as well as their soups and sandwiches. Kudos to the local chef owners who saw the potential of farm-to-table healthy eating, as I would have thought this concept would have been originated on the Mainland. It's a 20 minute drive from Kihei. Salad sounds good about now. Feeling like I need a salad after our carby lunch today. This place charges $.89 for every carry out order. What BS. :/ It's a mostly carry out business, since there's no seating inside and even if there wasn't a pandemic. They never even informed us about the additional $0.89 charge until they charge you either. The owner or manager scolded the employees in front of all of the guests in the store. Poorly done. It's set up like a subway for salads. There's no seating inside. It's so windy outside to eat and there's only 3 tables outside. Included in the cost is up to 5 ingredients, more than the 5 would be extra. Dressing is roasted garlic balsamic on my build my own salad and we also ordered an Ancient bowl. They almost tried to give me only 3 cubes of avocado for $1. I added chicken to my salad, an extra $4.25. They are quite stingy with the main as well as the add-on $1 ingredients here for sure. I have bean sprouts, red onions, beets, red pepper, quinoa, carrots, avocado, tomatoes, chickpeas on my salad. Chicken was extra. My build my own salad was $18.60, it wasn't worth it. I have definitely had better and bigger salads with many more ingredients at yet gourmet and specialty grocery stores back at home. It wasn't worth the 20 minute drive here, sadly. The two younger ladies that waited on us were nice, the manager or owner wasn't so friendly, warm or pleasant at all. She even barked at us about any extras on our items. read more

I have been making Fork & Salad my first stop EVERY time the ferry from Lāna'i docks at Ma'alaea Harbor or I fly in to Kahului. Because my trips are usually short, I try to pack in 2 visits. First of all, ingredients are all amazingly fresh and incredibly delicious. The menu choices are enough to satisfy any palate. Their Maui Goddess and Buddha Bowl are my top 2 go-to's. Then, when they have sourdough bowls; they brush it with butter and crisp it up...that's a winner! To go with their thick and creamy bacon clam chowder!!! Mmm, mmm good! There's an aunty in there that I've watched train others. She's amazing! The service is professional and efficient. The portions are worth the prices! The ambiance is light, airy and very clean! They have clean bathrooms, also a bonus these days. It feels like a business that could easily have a chain. I love supporting local and I'm grateful for a healthy food option!!! Spent well over $50 and while the cashier was sweet, the food was below subpar. The kombucha lacked the flavor it was supposed to be (I got Mango Guava, and my sister got hibiscus lychee) just tasted like plain flat kombucha. My sister got the Maui Goddess with falafel and she was not happy with it. She said it just tasted bland and the complimentary bread was a joke... two little slivers of what appears to be scraps of sourdough. I ordered the 14oz bacon clam chowder and a bread bowl. I ordered all of this ahead from their website and when I came by to pick it up they said they were out and I could either get a refund or pick another item equivalent and I chose the kid's quesadilla with fruit. What a joke... the bacon clam chowder tasted weird, just didn't taste like clam chowder I've ever had (I'm from Seattle), but even Ivar's (a fast food seafood bar) clam chowder, that's only $7 for the same size and that's a billion times better than this. The quesadilla was what I expected just meh. The side of fruit was alright, probably the best thing I had from there honestly. I'm sorry, 3 stars for the cashier for being friendly and apologetic for not having the bread bowl. But if I could give zero stars for food I would. I will never come back. So disappointed, and $50 dollars down the drain. Not a good impression for my first time in Maui. Save your $$$. Go elsewhere. Also apparently they don't allow service dogs even though there is a sign at the front window that says "No Pets, Service dogs welcome". The guy in front of me when I was trying to get my order had a tiny service dog with a vest on, and was denied to dine in bc apparently the manager said it's policy not to have any pets... then take down the sign in your window contradicting yourselves.
