    Stewed Beans and Plantain

It's like the portions keep getting smaller and smaller . I'm so disappointed. I promise I won't order again . It used to have veggies in it as well , it also used to come in a bowl 2x the size of this one . The beans are so dry , and it's just not tasty . I'm so disappointed

a food truck parked in the snow

This food truck is in a terrible location. It sits on a corner where there are no parking zones. Customers ignore the signs blocking traffic, also receiving tickets. People arguing about parking in public, it's too congested. The food truck isn't well kept judging by the two flat tires currently on it.

Been following them on social media, watching all the good foods, so intrigued. Awesome food, worth tracking them down to try it. :)

I have consistently come here to get food throughout the years and it has been so rewarding to continue to see Yum Village be such a pillar in the city and in the food industry! The service here is incredible, you don't bus anything yourself. I also noticed that the staff that day was all women, from everyone front of house to the chefs in the back as well preparing the food, which was extra fun! They are so attentive to us and even when there was a snaffoo with on of my party's orders. They paid with cash and I think perhaps that messed up the tracking of the order through the system? I'm not entirely sure. As for the food, Yum Village has maintained some of the same dishes throughout the years, while also adding and/or rotating a ton of other dishes through the menu. I can definitely confirm that the garlic parm jerk chicken remains my favorite and that the spice level, while still plentiful and intense, has eased up a bit in recent years. Either that or that I have become more spice heat-tolerant! Either way, the portions also remain huge, so there was a ton of food to take home! I love the truffle collard greens, the deeply unique and flavorful corncakes, and also the star of the show this go around was the deliciously complex fried cheesy fufu! It oozes so much flavor and is the perfect addition to any meal and very shareable as well! Keep up the great work, Yum Village!!

WOW this food is incredible! SO packed with flavor, spicy and sweet and savory. Went with a couple…read morefriends for lunch and I got the Classic Village Combo with jerk chicken, jollof rice, sweet and spicy plaintain, and I also got a side of the truffle oil collards. Everything was DELICIOUS! A kind of spicy that slowly builds too, which I found really pleasant. I also tried bites off some of friends' orders, like a bit of cornbread, the fried cheesy fufu, the garlic parm chicken. Everything was so good. Huge portions! Even the smallest size option was enough food to have leftovers for at least another big meal. They have bigger size options too for the extra hungry. Only bumping it down a star because they had some trouble with one of my friends' order. I guess it didn't go through to the kitchen, but one of the ladies noticed and asked my friend for her receipt so they could get her food going. However, seemed like they then lost that too because it wasn't until after two of us got our food and had been munching for a bit that they realized no one had started on our friend's order. Came out fast after that. Easily 5 stars without the ordering hiccup!

I've been to the food truck 3 or so times and have gotten fufu, egusi soup with goat, puff puff,…read moreand iced Zobo. The fufu was a good consistency wrapped in cling wrap so it doesn't stick to the packaging and can be eaten fully. The egusi is rich and flavorful; I definitely wish there was more of a spice to it but I have only ever had egusi from here so I don't know if culturally, it is meant to have more spice than that. Regardless, it's very tasty and I usually get a decent amount of goat in there. The puff puff is always delightfully soft and the perfect amount of sweetness to end my meal. The Zobo tea is very much not for me, the cinnamon along with ginger and hibiscus is something my tongue didn't like, but that's just a taste preference thing, I believe it was made well. As far as service, the lady who takes my order is always very kind and helpful. I appreciate her a lot. Her patience, especially when I first ordered, was greatly appreciated. This may be dramatic, but I found out later in life that I'm Nigerian and didn't get to enjoy my culture so she helped me pick the right things and it was a great encouragement to me. The chef is kind as well but we haven't had many interactions. As far as ambiance, I always get it next to the A2 farmers market which I love a lot because I get to walk around! Overall, I really love fork in Nigeria. My only cons are that it's a little expensive (one meal usually costs me $25-$30 for one person) and the wait can occasionally be a little longer but I don't mind it. Also, one time I got there right when they said they were going to open and they were an hour late. Other than that I've had amazing experiences here and can't wait to have more.

The rice was delicious and there was so much of it. The okra was great too. I also tried a couple bites of the goat fufu, which was so good too. It was falling off the bone. The hibiscus tea was refreshing and has a nice spiced flavor. Would love to come back and try the rest of the menu.
