Beauty, Heart, and Soul. Indian food!!
    Ibby D.

This is the restaurant that made me believe Indian cuisine is perfect... just perfect. Terrific food, good portions, cheaper than most Indian restaurants around the Detroit area (Chicken curry for $6!? Hallelujah!), great presentation, awesome service (waiters are always attentive and friendly), very clean dining room. Really... I want you to go here! It seems they don't get as many customers as they deserve. Anyway, I've had the Butter Chicken (spectacular with rich tomato/butter taste and succulent pieces of chicken), Lamb Biryani (a favorite of my SO), Lamb Korma (full of flavor and tender lamb), and a couple different appetizers. I haven't been disappointed yet. More trips to Hamtramck for me.

    Nice dining area. Clean

Located right in the heart of Hamtramck. Walked in and was greeted instantly(friendly). I ordered the Tikka chicken briyani(not pictured, but looks just like the tandoori chicken briyani), tandoori and regular chicken briyani.Couldn't tell to much difference in the flavor of the dishes even though prepared differently. While being very flavorful. The wait was 20 to 35 minutes. This is my second time returning and just like my first time the wait was the same. Assuming it was made to order. Great food, great portions for the price. Good place to eat and dine in, but the wait is a huge factor for me. They also have a lunch buffet if you're interested. With that being said I will be returning to give it another shot.

So good I had to snapchat it!

Ordered from Yelp the other day and was quite satisfied. Easy to order. Delivery was somewhat delayed but the delivery guy was cheerful so he made up for it. Food was piping hot and spiced to perfection!

It's within walking distance from my parent's home and I figured I'd give a new place a try. I asked for an order of Vegetable Pakoras ($4) and six Lamb Samosas ($15) to go. Although the restaurant was pretty empty, it took about 30 minutes for my appetizers to arrive. I wouldn't have minded the long wait if the food tasted decent. The pakoras were average and the Lamb Samosas were extremely dry. The filling contained ground lamb mixed with minimal onions and spices. I should've chosen a more traditional samosa, like veggie or chicken. I'm just surprised such mediocre appetizers are being served to customers. I rated this place three stars because I didn't try the entrees. I hope the latter taste better, but I'll never know as I don't plan to visit this restaurant again.

They had a Buffett when we got there so we decided that was a good option to try the different foods. Pros: hardly anyone in there at 2:00 pm on this Sunday (04/30/2023) - The taste of the food was flavored well. Enjoyed the flavor. Cons: The food was lukewarm to cold. Had curry chicken that was terribly undercooked. It seemed like a recipe for some food poisoning. Now as of 6:00 pm there is no issues so that is a real plus. I do not like giving low stars but it is almost impossible not to do that in this case. The young lady was nice when we walked in but that was the end of any communication. Won't be back.

I get that I'm older, and probably not the clientele they are looking for, but they have never ever been attentive, even when like yesterday I was the only one sitting at the bar. They genuinely make me feel like they don't want me on there and am more of a nuisance to them. Fooswise, I have can't really say anything great about it. It's pretty basic, you can get better Indian food from so many other places in the metro area. I was hoping that their menu might be more adventurous and interesting but it was pretty run of the mill. It's not bad food by any means, but it's not going to impress you either. As far as their cocktail menu goes, I don't think they have a true cocktail lead, the drinks range from basic and uninspired to kind of gross. Being from Kerala I was interested in the Kerala Mule, and boy did I regret it. Either they don't like South Indians and purposely made it terrible or they need to taste their drinks before putting it on the menu. The more standard drinks were very well made. Aesthetically this is a beautiful spot. They really brought the colors and the design. The DJ stand being an old Indian motorcycle is a great touch. The pool table in the center of the restaurant is lovely as is the colorful umbrellas that adorn the ceiling. Visually an eye catching spectacle that really heightens the experience. At night this turns into more of a club feel, the dark lighting and the DJ can make it a fun night out. Bonus point for having an old Aishwarya Rai movie on the big screen. So while I might not specifically come for the food, I would come and have a more classic cocktail or beer and either start or end my night here, assuming I wasn't ignored the whole time.

My first impression: Noisy! Lots of hard surfaces. Difficult to hear the hostess, server and my wife. The tables were appropriately spaced for diners and servers to work with no bump & grind. We started by sharing a dozen oysters and the pear/walnuts salad. The oysters were a bit small-ish; but otherwise, excellent. Server took a drink order from my wife, but skipped me. Eh? I flagged down another server to order a Pino. It took a surprisingly long time to arrive. On the plus side, I was offered a taste to insure it was satisfactory - it was. The pear salad w/walnuts was excellent. The pears were sliced paper-thin. One of the joys of eating a properly ripened pear is the juicy explosion and thinly sliced pears defeat the juicy explosion. If the pears were fully ripe, perhaps cube them? Weirdly; the two sides (mushrooms, potatoes) were served before the entrees. The server noticed, seemed surprised and withdrew the sides, returning with our entrees (lamb shoulder, steak). Then the side returned. Both entrees were warm-ish and the sides were hot. The 14-day, dry-aged steak was ordered medium-rare and was seasoned and prepared as ordered. Again; warm-ish, not hot. I expected better beefy flavor for a dry-aged steak. One end was a bit chewy. Tenderness improved as I got to the other end of the steak. I ordered it with horseradish. I will admit to being a weirdo who loves spicy horseradish (and wasabi) that will clean the sinuses - this was "Ohio-spice'd" horseradish ... not creamy, but less spicy than Arby's Horsey sauce. The mushroom and the potato sides were served hot from the kitchen. Both were excellent, no complaints. The presentation of the steak needs improvement. It was a properly prepared, lonely lump of brown, served on a white plate with cracked ceramic glaze. The lamb shoulder was the better entree. For some reason, my wife was expecting Middle Eastern seasoning. The menu did not mention Middle Eastern seasoning and she did not ask, so that's on her, not the kitchen. I thought it was excellent. Gripe: After the entrees arrived, our server did not return to ask if the entrees were satisfactory. She did return later to ask if we wanted a second round of drinks. We did ... We were offered dessert and ordered, but never asked if we wanted coffee or an after dinner drink. Both desserts were excellent. Will we return? Probably ... not. With tip; dinner for two was $286. At this price point I expect better: Less noise, better beef and flawless service.
