No complaints here. I drive from Placerville to do my shopping at Forklift great veggie's and fruit the only thing I had which wasn't that good was there soft pretzels which had no taste,but nobody is perfect.Have to admit they are a little bit higher but well worth it read more

This is my favorite grocery store of all time. The butcher is so friendly and helpful and makes me custom items all the time. most of the employees are friendly and courteous and extremely helpful. The only thing anything I can say is sometimes their produce goes bad in an unreasonable amount of time. It's truly minor compared to how great they are at everything else. Amazing beer selection slightly above average pricing but you certainly get what you pay for. the employees in their bakery section are some of the happiest people I've ever seen. I hear constant laughing and joking in a professional manner whenever I walk by them they truly appear to be happy. This seems like a great company to work for with lots of satisfied employees. Not just because they have a great selection but because they have an amazing staff. You feel welcome and at home when you shop here and we know that the crew really does care. Fantastic store! Excellent selection to include many premium items. Since Forklift is part of the Nugget chain, they benefit from many of the cool items you'll find at either store. I think Forklift is intended to be a little less fancy and that suits my taste fine. Produce selection is really good and they carry an extensive organic section as well. Once you get beyond the produce, you'll be routed past the bakery. Don't look in the case! It's to die for! You'll put on several pounds by simply peering in! Then there's the cheese area. Superb! Outstanding selection and knowledgeable staff. Fromage baby! The meat section is high quality and a little spendy. Butchers know their stuff... I've special ordered odd cuts on a number of occasions. Besides the huge aisles and vague description placards, this is the best grocery store I've ever stepped foot in. Their organic foods are often cheaper than their other options, not sure how they do that. I love the variety and the staff are extremely helpful and very friendly. read more

I think Fork Lift is the best grocery store in Cameron Park because they have the freshest produce and best variety of both conventional and organic. Their prices on produce are generally the best. The one weak spot are the packaged lettuce and greens. They mostly carry the Organic Girl brand in the 1 pound plastic boxes and it often goes bad before the expiration date marked on the package. I generally go over to Safeway for packaged salad greens because their brands are fresher and the price is usually about 20% less. (We eat a lot of salads.) Safeway carries Earthbound Farms and Safeway Organic store brand. Since they remodeled the store you can find just about any item you need. The prices have increased but except for salad fixings, it's one stop shopping. They also installed some new freezers so bagged frozen veggies are no longer frozen into a solid lump. Their customer service is outstanding. All the clerks and check out people are friendly and helpful. No matter how busy they are, the checkout lines move quickly. They add checkers whenever lines get long, as opposed to Safeway where you can wait in line a very long time, even when they aren't very busy because of the lack of checkers. I'm glad we have this store nearby. read more

Forklift is amazing, we have been coming here from the beginning and have always had a great experience. It is not the cheapest but also not the most expensive, It is however a great price for the quality of ingredients and produce that you get, we love coming here and will continue to make this one of our only grocery stores (besides Sams Club) The staff is always super courteous, helpful, and always knows where to find everything. Hybrid - Food4Less vs Nugget. The Nugget look and feel is there when you walk-in. The assorted nuts and candies, the décor style, as well as the bakery and deli items Nugget peeps are used to. The yellow rack shelving is reminiscent of the former Food4Less - not shiny wire shelves prominent in the typical Nugget. This store offers a fairly broad wine selection - definitely not reminiscent of the former Food4Less. Don't be fooled into thinking that this is a "discount" Nugget. The typical Nugget items are priced at typical Nugget prices - no apparent deep discount happening. However, the regular grocery items are price competitive. Just like any grocery, some items are more and some are less. Glad to see this transformation on this foothill stretch of Hwy 50. Now there's a trusty place to stop to grab the quality deli, bakery, and wine and still have access to the monster bag of Dorito's. read more

Drove almost an hour to come back here to see what it's about and it's like a grocery outlet for nugget market , this place was huge and the staffs were awesome to us. Would love to come back here again and there's a lot of little shops across the street too . Omg I had their Apple and Brie sandwich with tasted like apple pie on crack !!! What a wonderful grocery store! I've never experienced so many happy and helpful employees in a grocery store! I've been use to going to grocery stores where you have to hunt down an employee to ask them a question. They have a beautiful meat, seafood and chicken selection. It's a mini-Nugget market cross-bred with a Food4Less! Awesome deli department - their sandwiches are arguably the best. The staff is incredibly friendly and they seem to have really low prices on many of the items. We shop here all the time. You'll find a number of ethnic vegetables here, which you might not find at mainstream supermarkets. read more

Soo good! This place is so Whole Foods meets Safeway lol I got an amazing Salad blend - seriously amazing. They have a selection of hot foods and premade foods They are also able to microwave the premade food sold... they were out of sushi so maybe It's good? Lol staff was nice. Great selection of quality foods, reasonable prices but the checkout staff needs some serious attitude adjustments. I try to comply with their silly bagging requirements ( EVERYONE is touching everything, and the recent data shows COVID-19 isn't transferred from surfaces) but they bark at your for not bagging fast enough because we're required to have leave our recycling bags in the cart. You make the rules, you deal with the fallout. read more

Went to Forklift after visiting our tax man. Not looking forward to being in a grocery, but needed many items so we took the chance. The lady at the door was giving out masks. Very reassuring . The wide aisles and lack of crowd made this a stress free experience. Asked about item location from a couple of friendly employees. Checkout was uncrowded and quick. We got everything we wanted and the prices were reasonable. Worth the 40 minute drive. read more

Best market in Cameron Park! Prior market of Food 4 Less, was not a fan and opted to shop Bel Air before Nugget concerted this to ForkLift about 3-4 years ago. I haven't shopped elsewhere in CP, although I wish we'd get a Trader Joe's to add to the food choices. ForkLift offers quality organic vegetables and fruits, as well as higher end quality meats. Their layout is similar to Nugget (of EDH, but not the same price tag!!!). Safeway doesn't measure up with all its commercialized processed boxed foods and such. Thankfully! Now that we have moved to Camino, I still hold off to enjoy ForkLift on my once weekly trips down the hill! Holiday market up here for last minute odds and ends. read more

The best store around and absolutely the best meat department I have ever come across. They have a great selection but what makes them stand out by far is their customer service. You just don't find this level anymore. The butchers go out of their way to help you and make suggestions even when it gives them more work. They have my loyalty and I tell everyone I know that I drive to this store for the selection and superb customer service from box help to cashiers to the meat department. 10 out of 10 stars. read more

You know how they say first impressions are important. Definitely true... This store is well lit. Not just with those generic pseudo-warm lights you might stroll under in places like Safeway. It's genuinely well lit with bright crisp lights that define color and eliminate shelf shadows. It's clean and tidy, I don't think I saw a single thing out of place here. Products are placed and arranged well, as though the crew constantly sweeps the store to adjust displays. The store is laid out well, and the selection of products is fantastic. Who knew you could have so many options for something like olive oil? So, my first impression... I'm definitely impressed! read more

After a few visits I give it five stars for cleanliness and service, lose a star for deli costs. Prices are acceptable EXCEPT for the deli and deserts--OMG two sandwiches ($21) and a small tart ($6) and a mousse cupcake ($5.19). $32 for lunch with no drinks. read more
