We recently moved near this restaurant. I have been wanting to try it and tonight my wife and I had the chance. The owner was our server and she was so nice and gave supreme service . We had drunken noodles and Formosa chicken . We had hot n sour soup egg rolls and crab Rangoon's . All our food was fresh hot and flavorful! This locally owned restaurant has been in the area for many, many years. I hadn't eaten there for awhile just because we don't eat allot of Chinese and when we do we tend to gravitate towards places in another area near us. But, I had been here several times over 20+ years and it was always good. When were looking for Chinese tonight, we decided to try it again. It is still very good, fresh and fast, (For pickup.) No MSG Our last order was crab cheese wontons, sesame chicken, pork fried rice and Sichuan beef. All were very good as far as flavor and quality. The beef dish had allot of veggies and not enough beef. So, I rated accordingly. I will mention next time we order. The only other drawback was they don't deliver in house, they use Grub Hub. I can't stand spending $20 on "service fees", delivery and driver tip. So we picked up. But it's close so not a big deal for us. We will order from them again! read more

This place was great! They start you off with complimentary hot tea, which I found interesting and nice. Food was hot, fresh, and tasty. Service was great as well and friendly. The restaurant itself was clean and very well kept. I'll be coming back for sure! read more

I've been eating here (and getting to-go) since about 1990. Obviously, they aren't still run by the folks we met back then, but they've been consistently good through the years. Give this store-front Asian (i,e,: more than just Chinese) restaurant a try: it's surprisingly nice inside and service and food are quite good. read more

A quick update. I am taking away one star due to inconsistent food. There must be more than one chef and one is better than the other. Hubs ordered egg fu young and days it's the worst he ever had. The first time we ordered the wings they were crispy and juicy. This time dry and breading didn't have any s flavor. I will continue to go here as they have good food, especially the Hot and sour soup the serve with won ton crisps, but it's a crap shoot which chef we will get. read more

Recently moved to the area and was looking for a solid Chinese place and this fits the bill. The interior is definitely dated and we have only ate in once which seems to be the trend as every time we go for pickup everyone seems to be just waiting for pickup. The egg rolls are great and crunchy. The beef lo mein was very fresh and would recommend. Our sesame chicken seemed a little old and the breading was coming off. Overall solid place with friendly staff. Will continue to order for pickup. read more

First experience with restaurant; ordered take-out dinner early, just after 3:30P on a Saturday. After ordering, I asked when the food would be ready only to hear the phone hang up, so I had to call back. After I returned home with my food, I discovered that I had not received soup, won tons or egg roll as listed per the dinner menu. Food is tasty enough, but I was overcharged for the amount of food received. Will not return. read more

Not bad Chinese. Typical greasy fare. You get a ton of food for $2 with their "add on" (rice, egg rolls, wontons, soup) have eaten take out a half dozen times or so and will order again. Haven't found anything I like better yet. read more

Given the mixed reviews we weren't sure but thought we'd give it a try. Not bad overall. Chicken Chow Mein was really good. Wonton soup, lettuce wraps equally as good. General Tso Chicken wasn't bad. We'd come again. read more

In a tiny fairly run down strip mall by Smoky Hill High School sits a tiny Chinese Restaurant that has some great food. They have been around for over 20 years now and I have been going for a long time. The menu is very diverse and offers a wide variety of chicken, beef, and shrimp dishes but my favorite are the wontons. I would highly recommend going for lunch because it is much cheaper and an egg roll is included but regardless you won't leave disappointed. read more

I work very close to this establishment and can't leave during my shift. So, I figured they would possibly make an exception for their delivery minimum. She told me she would. I proceeded to order and before I begin to pay she asked if I could come pick it up instead because she decided she did not want to make an exception for a delivery minimum. I've been here a couple times and the food is nothing that really hits me as "wow" about this restaurant. Portion sizes are average and taste is average. There are few Chinese restaurants that deserve a 5 star rating. (And I'm from San Francisco). My folks brought us here over the holidays. The food was EXCELLENT. We had vegetarian egg foo yung and veggies in a garlic sauce. Perfectly made. Very light and fresh-tasting egg foo yung - best I'd ever had - and the veggies were perfect. And HUGE portions. Have always enjoyed this restaurant, the food, service and cleanliness has always been exceptional. It's hard to beat the large lunch portions for about $6.50. The dinner portions we always have enough to take home for a late snack. If you enjoy Chinese food, this is the best. read more

Worse Chinese food I have ever tried-and that is a lot of Chinese food! I ordered Egg Foo yung and got a bunch of meat and vegetables saturated in brown gravy and some kind of mushy squared rice cakes at the bottom. Won ton soup with no won tons, cold in the middle crab and cheese won tons after waiting over an hour for delivery and paying a premium. Very disappointing. read more

Fast Delivery, friendly phone service, and the food is always hot! Of course, can't go wrong w crab cheese wontons. Shrimp fried rice portion is huge and very flavorful. Just tried the sesame chicken, also delicious! Chicken tastes fresh, and they obviously use white meat. Very clean tasting for Chinese food. read more

Just an update to say I really wish they would update their online ordering system. We receive menus from Formosa Garden and they've delivered here for a few years. The problem is when we try to order online, it says we are out of the delivery area. The problem with this is when you call to order something most of the time the person on the other end doesn't speak English very well and I've had a few screwed up orders. Sometimes rice comes with my meal but most of the time it doesn't. If they would correct this with their online ordering system, I will give them 4 stars again. read more

My family has been coming here for years. I mean like 20 years. The inside of the restaurant needs some work but their food is always hot and fresh. This also goes for their delivery. They'll say it will take 30 min for delivery but it's usually to us in about 20. Again, always fresh and hot. I have an MSG sensitivity and I have found this to be one of the few Chinese places I can eat at. Their lunch specials are great. read more

I can only review what we had, but they have been the best second best Chinese in Aurora, Co. "East China" being the best. The others we have tried is "The Golden Wok and "East Cafe" I would avoid these if East China or Formosa are open. (I'm talking about Americanized Chinese, Sweet and Sour chicken, Lemon chicken, Sesame chicken, and the sorts, for more authentic Chinese do your research on Yelp) The sweet and sour chicken, lemon chicken,sesame chicken are really good,not the best I've had, but good. the sauces are not too heavy or syrup like, pretty good portion sizes for take-out. The Cashew chicken was blanned, and very few cashews. I also like the deal they have when you buy an entree, for $1.75 you get 1 soup, 1 egg roll, 2 crab cheese wonton. (update) they have upped the $1.75, you can see the new price on their website. They have always been friendly to us, also, which is a big plus in food service. read more

Formosa Garden is a great Chinese restaurant. I'm lucky to be living so close so I can place the order on the phone and pretty much get in the car to have it waiting for me upon my arrival. The owners are very nice and they've even memorized my "normal" order, when I tell them my name over the phone. Give them a shot. read more

The food here is always great! I would definitely try the wontons best in town (trust me on won tons) chicken can be bland though so I always stick to the Lo mein. Give it a 4 because service can be slow at times and the chicken could be better. Prices are great 2 people can eat under 20. read more
