This place never disappoints. I come here specifically for their Mapo tofu since it's the best that I've tasted in Colorado so far. We will always order that and change our 2nd additional dish so that we can try something new. I really enjoyed the sichuan fish fillet with picked cabbage that we ordered today. It was something different but still light in flavor somehow. Not too spicy compared to the Mapo tofu which has the numbing peppercorn in it. The fish dish came with vermicelli and enoki mushroom in it as well. The bone and seaweed soup tasted really good when I ordered it the last time I came here. The size is humongous for the price of the dish so you're really getting the bang for your buck. I think it's really nice how the worker always helps package the leftover. he staff is friendly and attentive, and they're always happy to make recommendations. The menu features a wide variety of Chinese dishes, including both traditional and modern options. I've tried a few different things. My favorites are the skewers of beef and lamb, pork belly wrapped in cucumber, and Singaporean rice noodles (subtle curry flavor. Yummy). The stir fry veggie (荷塘小炒）was extremely well cooked and nutritious too. What I wasn't impressed with was the big plate chicken - not flavorful enough and not spicy enough. No noodles included either. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are decent. I've always left feeling full and satisfied. If you're looking for a great Chinese meal, I highly recommend Meet & Eat Bistro. read more

MEB is located near KENNEDY golf course. Not the easiest location to find but it's in a shopping next to a liquor store. The interior has been updated with booth seating and their website makes ordering online easy. On the same menu there are lots of authentic options. Hot pot / dry pot / fish dishes are plenty here. My favorite is the Spicy Chicken 辣子鸡 level 3/3 spicy and numbing. The entree you can upgrade to come with fried rice $2 up-charge which I highly recommend. The lady server was friendly and efficient she was taking orders over the phone and running dishes in and out of the kitchen. Dinner rush can be slow be patient for fresh food. The quality of the food is better than most Chinese places and the server told me they use a Japanese brand steamed rice which you can taste the difference. They are closed Tuesdays and also break for mid afternoon from 2:30pm - 4:30pm so be aware they are closed during that time. read more

Eggplant pork fried pockets (mini fried eggplant sandwiches) string beans, steamed fish. Everything was so tasty. We came here on a Sunday mid afternoon and we were the only table, amazing service, hot food, clean and quiet dining room. The steamed fish does take a bit, about 15-20 mins so patience is needed. Brought my son for lunch so we could hang out together and try some new foods. We looked at the menu online so we could look at photos of the food. Ordered hot tea to balance out the spice I was going to eat. Went with fish flounder fillets in hot chili oil and he selected the spicy chicken. Side of salt and pepper tofu. The fish fillets were as good as the last time I came and I enjoyed the veggies inside the dish as well. Eaten with the steamed rice and tofu the fillets were less spicy. But I was still sweating :) His spicy chicken was so good. Crispy and crunchy with good flavor. A little spicy but offset with the tofu and steamed rice yummy. I've been searching for a Chinese restaurant with really good Szechuan items since my favorite place sadly shut down last month. I think I've finally found a solid replacement! The fish in chili oil is hands down the best version of this dish I've had anywhere. I felt the same way about the ma po tofu, but my partner disagreed with me on that one. Incredible sichuan / szechuan with numbing peppercorn. Nothing in denver metro lives up to this quality for numbing spice szechuan. Here's what we ordered, notes are comparing it to peter chang's (not pf chang's) restaurants along the east cost: Dan Dan noodles (good but very different, thick noodles and soupier) Double cooked pork slices (would be perfect if they replaced green bell peppers with jalapenos) Sichuan flounder fillets soup (more spice, not sour, id skip) Fried lamb with cumin Spicy chicken (Shan city chicken) Deep fried eggplant with pork (amazing, dip them in spice powder or ask them to toss in spice beforehand) Hot pot with crispy fish (bamboo fish) Hop Alley is good, and has a few items, but pricey and more fine dining then quality szechuan. Noodles express only has a few good numbing dishes, and their chongqing chicken has bones in it to the point you sometimes get only a breaded piece of bone in it. Sunflower asian cafe has a better soup with fish filet and sour cabbage soup, and better dan dan noodle (my opinion, i prefer the smaller noodles and less soupy) Szechuan tasty house, I still haven't eaten in person. Ordered chowfun with chicken and black pepper beef. Chowfun was chewy and tasty. I really liked the black pepper beef more because it tasted fresh. I initially wanted a shrimp dish but they were out of shrimp that night. There was only one waiter, but she was very quick and got us everything we asked for. We ordered from the American Chinese menu. Big mistake. Ordinary at best and really bad at worst. Ordered egg rolls. First served, frozen in the middle. We let them know and they brought another order. Still frozen in the middle and didn't remove from our bill. The food just wasn't good all around. I love when sichuan restaurants open up. This was a pleasant little restaurant. Nice and clean with a quiet feel. Food came out quick and the service was attentive. I had some personal favorites and others I probably wouldn't order again. We got the spicy flounder in oil, sweet sour chicken, twice cooked pork and the spicy fried chicken. I really enjoyed the twice cooked pork, it was flavorful and spicy goes amazing with rice! I would def recommend. I was ok with the spicy fried chicken. I have had it better at other places, it wish it was more flavorful. The sweet sour was good, nice and sweet. Kids would love this dish. Great balance from all of the spicy dishes. This place is so good! It tastes like home cooked authentic Chinese food. Large portions, and simply delicious. I really do think this is the best Chinese food in Denver. Visited for an early dinner today, and we were the only customers in the restaurant. The waitress wasn't overly friendly, but was professional and efficient. By the end, we got a smile out of her. The atmosphere was cute, not formal and not "trendy". There was a huge pile of boxes being stored in a corner up front that took away from the nice vibe, which is why this review is only 4 stars instead of 5. There was free Wi-Fi! The Sesame Chicken, Orange Chicken, and Chicken LoMein were good, tasted just like they do in most other restaurants. The presentation was pretty. The General Tso's Chicken said spicy on the menu, but wasn't spicy at all, so that was disappointing. (It could be that they assumed no spice because that is how we ordered the other dishes.) Funny enough, we have lived just a couple blocks away for over seven years, and we drive by this restaurant daily. Due to the name, we had no idea that this was an oriental restaurant until we saw it on Grub Hub today. I wish they would have sent out a mailer when they first opened, as we have been driving miles for Oriental food. Great new Chinese restaurant on Hampden the Meet & Eat Bistro! We ate lunch inside and the food was extremely fresh and had wonderful flavors, the hot and sour soup was the best I have had in a long time. The triple delight Hunan had just the right amount of spice and very tasty, the Shrimp with broccoli was very good and my wife upgraded her white rice to shrimp fried rice and it was delicious. Nice set up for family style dinning with several large tables with lazy susan in the middle for easy sharing. Had an opportunity to try take out of Meet & Eat Bistro recently. We tried the spicy chicken and Dan Dan noodles. The Dan Dan noodles were actually spicier than the spicy chicken which was ok but not clear when we were ordering. These items came with white rice and we ordered some fried rice with it. The fried rice was not our favorite and the flavors for everything were ok but not great. I hope that coming in to eat might change the flavor profile but we would not order this as take out again. read more

This place is absolutely DELICIOUS - truly authentic Sichuan food. Get the Grilled Fish, which you can customize and add additional toppings (quail egg, mushrooms, sausages, tofu, etc.). I would also highly recommend taking a look at the appetizers, which we (table of 3) ordered with the Grilled Fish (Mala). We ordered the jellyfish, which was excellent and some grilled cabbage. 'Lychee with pork' is an interesting name since there are no lychees . The server told me they named it for the flavor, rhyming sweet and sour as lychee. Chicken didn't come with rice, and the sweet and sour sauce which came on the side was bland. The drunken noodles with chicken was not edible.
