During a routine nail trim, he became so distressed that he urinated and defecated on himself and ultimately stopped breathing. I wasn't present, so I'm relying entirely on what I was told--which makes the situation even more concerning. Based on what I understand, things escalated after they attempted to muzzle him, despite him never having shown aggression. That should have been a clear signal to pause and reassess, not push forward. When I tried to ask Dr.Regetz what happened, I was met with short, defensive answers. Any attempt to ask reasonable questions was treated as combative, and I was hung up on without getting any real clarity. Since Dr. Kenny left, this clinic has gone downhill in terms of professionalism and care. I no longer feel confident in their ability to safely handle animals, nor do I trust their communication or judgment. I strongly urge others to consider a different provider. I was understandably upset and just wanted answers. Dr. Regetz was immediately defensive, treating my questions like attacks. She even said, "You weren't here--I'm the one who had to bring your dog back from the brink of death," as if I should feel bad for her. That response only made me more concerned about how this was handled. It did NOT have to get to that point any reasonable person would have stopped before it did.

I first connected with Loving Kindness to line up the inevitable for my first doggie Jelly. However, knowing the time wasn't quite right for that, with their guidance and excellent vet care, Jelly had more and better quality of life with me. Dr Dahlgren provided excellent care and was available when the going got tough, whether by text or visit and you know things always seem to happen after hours - and having Dr Dahlgren available to advise versus not knowing if a cold show up at some ER was warranted. Along with our primary vet at Betty Baugh's I am confident both Jelly and Boone got amazing care. Emma was visiting monthly and was always able to find the meds Boone needed at the mg best so I didn't have to cut pills etc and when you get a few meds going, it is very very helpful. Gail gave wonderful care with massages and Brandi was gentle and kind on the phone. Dr Dahlgren spent a complete Sunday reassuring me of how to get thru the day, from upping some anti nausea meds to a diet change. I sent pics of things I am sure she has seen before but who wants that diarrhea pic. I just love her and them. I am forever grateful.

We have gone sporadically to The Barking Lot for a couple of years now. There was a…read moremiscommunication with the preference card recently and I was less than pleased with the grooming service provided. However, when I called to discuss it with the owner, he was more than happy to help. He went through and investigated the situation/preference cards, did not blame it on staff, all while trying to provide the best customer service he could. They were able to fit my two dogs in last minute which I appreciated and they did an excellent job. Even if it was a sub optimal groom, having an owner who works with customers to try and navigate problems and make them right makes this business stand out. Thank you!

They didn't have all the supplies they needed to do blood work! So, it had to be sent to a separate Lab. My cat is very sick! It's hard to treat her if I don't know what to treat her for! She had 2 possibilities, Diabetes or Renal Failure. They told me they would call me on Saturday! They didn't! So I was stressed all weekend long! I was not happy about that at all! I'm going to be calling them today! She didn't do very well all weekend long even after getting fluids and a shot to boost her spirits! She's a hot mess! I love her though very much!

We've had to take him in 2 times since then (of course each time we get charged) because it's still bleeding. We called and complained because almost 2 months later, it's still bleeding. We were told that if we brought him back in, there would be no charge this time. The vet called my wife to tell her the sore was necrotic now and they would have to do more surgery. The issue with this is that I specifically asked that they call me first, but instead, opted to call her. That "free" visit? $400. I would have never approved that, and they knew that. I will let another vet take care of my pet from now on, because I'm sure the problem isn't resolved. Edit: 10/15/2019 After talking to Lisa R. below, she assured us someone from Banfield would contact us in 3 days. That was last Monday, October 8. Nobody has contacted us. Gizmo is supposed to have his stitches removed Thursday, but the wound has become filled with puss and is oozing from the stitches. I called them yesterday, and was assured a manager would call me back soon. I have not heard from them. I guess things get a little difficult with patients and they prefer to avoid it instead of dealing with their mistakes.

Stephanie's Pet Groomers turned my sad day into a glad one…read more I thought my dog's toenail was torn off, to the quick. It was pointing sideways, he limped for awhile and kept licking it. I called his primary vet and others seeking emergency care. No appointments available until next week. I thought, "Next week! How can this not be an emergency." (You know how we are.) Maybe a groomer, I thought. None would look at him, referring me back to his vet. Then I called Stephanie's and was told to bring him in, they would look at it and trim if that was all that was needed, or refer me back to my Vet. Needless to say, all that was needed was a nail clipping. I was in and out, in 15 minutes. I won't relay their prices, but I paid "less" than $20 for a visit that would have probably cost almost $100 if not more, at mine or any other vet. These groomers really care. This kind of compassion should never go unnoticed. Thank you.
