We live right across the street, and for some reason, took us almost a year to finally step inside Lost Resort, and we LOVE LOST RESORT. Couldn't have asked for a better neighborhood spot. We came to watch the Super Bowl actually and the place was wonderfully spacious, no cramped bar chaos, just a great vibe with plenty of room to settle in. Since we weren't really in a drinking mood (didn't need a monday hangover haha), we kept it simple with beers - I got a Humble Sea IPA and it was exactly what I wanted! That said, the cocktail menu looked absolutely fabulous and we're already plotting our next visit to actually dig into it properly. And the food - Lost Resort really impressed us. The burger was outstanding, the chicken sandwich was outstanding, and the fish and chips were OMG-level good. Perfectly crispy, generous, the kind of bar food that makes you wonder why more places can't just nail the classics like this :) Genuinely can't wait to come back. Baked oysters tasted really good, but they were small oysters. The Mac n cheese had real crab meat (not imitation crab) and some bacon bites, but the cheese flavor was not strong enough. There's nothing like a bar conveniently located near the laundromat! In between transferring clothes between washer and ryer, I was also sipping on a cute cocktail, thanks to Lost Resort.' Arrived around 1pm and we were greeted by the lovely bartender. She was super nice and personable. We put in orders for drinks that came out pretty fast. I opted for the Highland Peach and it was exactly what I wanted; fruity, refreshing and perfect for the relaxed day we were having. For food, beaux got the raw oysters while I had the baked ones. Mine were super yummy. Anything with melted cheese is a winner for me, and this was great. The place was super cute and dog friendly too. I absolutely loved the nautical vibes. A really cute spot that's not too rowdy or crowded even for a Superbowl final! I really liked the indoor and outdoor back patio space, and the patio was still pretty warm even though it was outdoors. My husband and I came to Lost Resort on Friday for my birthday dinner. We were seated immediately (and quite comfortably) in the front tables / booth area at the last booth. After we ordered drinks and food arrived, our server asked if we could move over to the next table because they made a mistake by seating 2 people at a 3 person table. Ok, we thought. "That's understandable - though annoying since we're halfway into our drinks/app's." So WE picked up our belongings, food and drinks and shifted over to the next table without wrap around backrest. Unfortunately, the next party they sat at our table was also a 2 person party... and another subsequent 2 person party after that party ate their dinner and left!! Being that it was my birthday dinner and I was much more comfortable in the corner booth as a pregnant person and we didn't actually need to relocate, since they just sat a different 2 person party, this didn't make for a great experience for us. There was also ZERO acknowledgement by the server that she relocated us to open up a table for a larger party - but oh they didn't actually seat a larger party. From a hospitality standpoint, this was quite disappointing and we didn't feel welcome. It tainted my experience. We'll be choosing Trick Dog, Asiento, or another one of the other amazing bar / restaurant options in the same area next time. read more

Stopped by for late night grub and drinks and was slightly disappointed with the food. Drinks and service were amazing, however the food was on the salty side which threw me off a little. I couldn't finish the entirety of my meal because of it. I'll most likely come by just for drinks next time. Lost Resort is located in Potrero Hill and this neighborhood never fails to amaze me. It's super quiet both day and night, but has tons of hidden gems just like this spot! The overall ambiance is very loud, as expected from a late night bar and their playlist was fire (they were playing early 2000s R&B that night). Weekends are typically packed so plan accordingly. We got lucky and were able to snag three seats at the bar top. Parking was easy, however it can get full and difficult very quickly! read more

Cute spot in the Mission. I've been here several times in the past. What has been consistent is the food. Food is delicious. We ordered the chicken sandwich sliders. Well seasoned and so good! Ordered oysters ... fresh and delicious. Ordered the lobster Mac and cheese... it was ok, but not bad. We sat outside on a nice night. They had good music playing inside. Made me want to check out the bar next visit. Service: it was ok. Some of the staff were amazing. Our server was alright. But I just have a standard as I'm in the service industry too. Either way it is a fun drinking spot that is bigger than it seemed , what with a back indoor-patio as well as exterior sidewalk-seating. Service was friendly and attentive as necessary. Walk-ins are fine if early and tables are available but the wait shouldn't be long. Not an out of the way stop for us though would return if in the area (adding to the rotation). If I could give this place a 0 I would! Came here with my coworkers after work expecting a fun time and instead got treated like we were an inconvenience all night. We were sat by the waitress in a nice section, no issues... until a guy in a white shirt (pretty sure he was the manager) came up asking if I was "Catia." I said no, and he said there was a reservation for that table at 8 PM. Mind you, it was 6:30 ish PM. We even said we were totally fine moving when the reservation arrived. Nope immediately kicked us out of the section and shoved us to the bar. As more coworkers arrived, suddenly we were told we were a "fire hazard" for standing in the walkway... yet we also weren't allowed to sit anywhere else. So which is it? Because it felt like we just weren't wanted there. It didn't stop there. My friend and I stepped outside to smoke and the same guy followed us out to tell us we couldn't smoke there and had to go around the corner. Fine.. whatever. But then he also told my friend he couldn't bring his drink outside, even though the bar has an outdoor area where people were literally drinking and eating. Make it make sense. It felt like we were being singled out and watched the entire night. The vibes were off, the service was uncomfortable, and instead of enjoying ourselves we just felt annoyed. If you're coming with a big group, don't bother. This place clearly doesn't know how (or want) to accommodate groups, even when you're polite, spending money, and just trying to have a normal night out. I felt as though I was a decade younger, roaming around looking for a bar that would have enough space for my friend's birthday crew. Luckily, another person in our group was in the know and led us to Lost Resort. On a rainy Friday night, Lost Resort was quite busy, but I appreciate that they maintain some semblance of order with an actual queue for tables (rather than the vulture method of hanging around until a party leaves). I really thought this place was just OK...not sure I see all the hype from other reviewers. The plus side is parking is a little easier over here, especially on a weekday. I came on a Monday night with friends so not too crowded. We ordered a few different plates - Brussel sprouts, nachos, chicken bites, and fish tacos. Everything was pretty "meh" in terms of flavor. Brussels were burnt to a crisp. The French fries had a weird salt-and-vinegar like dry "dust" on top which wasn't a big hit. The nachos were pretty soggy and were just a big clump of cheese and wet chips. I got "The Antidote" drink with tequila subbed in, and it was fine...pretty sweet, pricy ($15 for a really small glass), and didn't really seem like it had any liquor in it. Server was nice, not overly attentive but just right. The ambience was fine, patio was chill. Not really sure what theme the place is going for, it seems confused between nautical (re: ship style door, small photo of ship on the wall), tiki, and modern hipster ? I don't really know. Located in Design District, Lost Resort is a cute, casual soot for drinks with friends or a quick dinner. I came around 4pm and there wasn't many people there. It did pick up quite a bit around 5:30pm. At Lost Resort, you can either sit inside-inside, inside-outside, or outside-outside. The inside-outside section was decorated nicely with Christmas decor and they have a few heaters around. I got a light beer and a chicken bites. Both were very delicious and satisfying. My friend got the chicken sandwich and WOW it looked bomb and big!! The only caveat was it took a while for us to get the check, I think because the place was so poppin. read more

When we got here it was pretty rowdy, there were some large groups that were doing lots of shouting, so that was a bit of a bummer. Our server was great though! The drinks were good, pretty typical cocktails for SF. The food was a bit of a letdown - the Brussel's Sprouts were wayyyy too vinegary and salty, the chicken sandwich was a bit dry and the slaw and pickles did not go well with the coconut chicken flavor, and the fries had way too much salt and seasoning and were a bit too crispy. Beautiful and pleasant place. I'm a salad lover, and I decided to try the Kale And Burrata Salad. The combination of burrata, apple, and the dressing resulted in a perfect flavor and harmony. I think Alanis Morrisette would find it ironic that I got lost trying to find Lost Resort. Why, it's like rain on your wedding day. It's a free ride when you've already paid It's the good advice that you just didn't take. But I digress as I finally found it after passing by it on a previous stroll in the quieter part of the Mission. I was intrigued by the huge adjoining social area. There were so many younger people chilling and cavorting that it felt weird walking in solo. That's why I ended up sitting at the bar in the main area. I was entranced by their cocktail menu which came across as a hybrid between a tiki bar and a cantina. I decided on the $14 Holy Diver, a sassy pina colada with an out-of-left-field ingredient, chicory & coffee-infused mezcal. Stopped by for lunch before heading to OSL. It was very empty so there was plenty of seats indoors, on the back patio and on the side pavement. When we walked in it took the staff a little bit to actually come seat us even though they made eye contact. There were only two other people sitting at the bar. 5/5 Egg on toast - this was surprisingly tasty. A thick piece of toast with egg and cheese and avocado on top. So good! 3/5 Brussels sprouts - was good but I wasn't in love with it. Good to share. 3/5 Chicken tenders - came with a dipping sauce but neither the chicken or the dip tasted good. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and was able to immediately get a table. Saw a friendly face, too! (Hi Ummar!) We ordered a few things to share but what stood out to me was the brussel sprouts and the mochiko chicken (although I wish it was served with an actual lime wedge, the extra acidity would've highlighted the dish more in my opinion) but overall very flavorful and tender! The ambiance and decor here is nice for a date night, and this place is spacious enough for a group meetup. We shared the kale salad, lost nachos with pork, brussels sprouts, mac n cheese, and chicken bites. - The bad: Adding pork to the nachos was a terrible mistake because the pork was very dry. We didn't even finish the brussels sprouts because it was way too vinegary. - The okay: The kale salad and chicken bites were okay but not quite tasty enough to justify coming back here. All of our cocktails were okay as well but not that memorable. - The good: The mac n cheese was creamy, cheesy and delicious! Overall, I don't recommend going out of your way to check out this place.
