Came here after training. I had to show my ID at the door at 4pm. That was so weird to me honestly. The place itself has outdoor and indoor seating. Also, there is a 2nd floor, I do not know if it is open to the public though. The bathroom has 2 stalls and you come out to wash your hands. I had a margarita and a shared Quesadilla. Both were pretty good. The only thing I did not like is that they could not give me a sugar rim. That would have been nice. Also, one of my fellow coworkers wanted a spicy margarita. Came by for a pop-up crawfish boil but ordered some drinks directly from the brewery. Didn't know this place existed as it was tucked away in the Mission. Cute outdoor patio space with a large warehouse style interior. ID checked upon coming in, then its the front, fenced in patio, and then the taproom further in. Stopped by Southern Pacific Brewing for some snacks and beer. I wasn't feeling too hungry so ended up ordering the onion rings and hazy IPA to drink. Onion rings were yummy and I liked the aioli on the side. They were definitely on the oiler side but I enjoyed the crispy batter and the house ketchup was nice as well. Here for a private event. Beautiful warehouse space with a private garden patio in the front. Bathrooms have a public shared sink area. The food was good - tacos, wings, sliders. I don't drink beer often and there weren't descriptions of the tastes to help me remember what I like. I ordered one and it was sour and sharp. I put it down after a few sips. I ordered a rosé instead. It wasn't the proper temperature and was served in a beer glass. Lastly I ordered a seltzer. Bar staff were friendly but very busy. Catering/clean up staff were a little rude. In fairness guests were mingling in the walkway they needed to use and setting things down on the counter they had deemed their own but it wasn't clear where else people could be without being in the way. read more

I went to Southern Pacific brewing for a birthday party and it was super fun! They have a gorgeous brewery with an outdoor space with lots of benches and tables. I believe getting the tables is first come first serve rather than reservations. They have amazing party trays, including this loaded, nacho tray that was amazing. The prices are super good and decent price prices for sure. I highly recommend southern Pacific growing, especially for a large group! We also brought a cake and they were okay with that. Hidden on quiet Treat street on a Tuesday night, I saw green benches outside on side walk, a sign and opening of gate door and I ventured in. Wow this is a warehouse turned into a bar and has been here over 20 years. Large brewery great for large groups with two levels and an outdoor space. They have light bites, beer on tap, cocktails and even Jell-O shots. I tried the Tommy Margarita, mezcal cocktail (on the sweeter side, a bit too sweet for me) and manhattan and enjoyed the drinks. Ceilings are high but sound is centralized and it gets loud, especially when they host large events. The bar is inside a huge open warehouse-style building with real trees growing through the floor, tons of natural light, high ceilings, and a really cool indoor/outdoor vibe. Ironically, for a brewery, the worst thing to get here is any of their house brewed beer. I learned this the hard way after trying a couple of different house brewed beers on various occasions throughout the years. Their beers either taste rancid or fall flat on flavor. She had made the best Michelada I'm a huge Michelada lover and hers was by far one of the best I have had. The atmosphere was pretty great as well I love the layout and the warehouse feel. Stopped by here for a team happy hour after work. Tucked away in the corner of a small street in the Mission, this unassuming and very inconspicuous establishment from the outside really opens up into an open, 2 story bar on the inside that is well lit, ventilated, and offers a very fun vibe. Quiet, out-of-the-way location in the Mission with modest prices during happy hour. They have a few more selections than just the beers that they brew, and they can make a cocktail, too. Pub fare if you're hungry. Been many times (always outdoors), but sat inside last night. We wanted to join two large tables in the back to accommodate our large group, but were prohibited from doing so, even though the tables weren't otherwise being used. The importance and necessity of offering samples of draft beer before making people purchase it is the hill I will die on. That being said, and if not clear by rating, Southern Pacific does not offer beer samples for beers on tap. Before I dive into my disappointment in the beer list, I will give it up for the space. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and both were nice areas. The outside patio consisted of picnic tables with plenty of tree coverage and the indoor area had plenty of natural light as well some trees, so it almost felt like you were outside. It was a really cool space and for that reason I would consider coming back...but for cocktails. Onto the beer, the list was rather underwhelming to this heavy and non-traditional beer lover. The menu didn't have a single Hazy, double, or triple IPA, no sours, no stouts, and no porters. A beer similar to a sour was recommended to me, without being able to sample it I was a bit skeptical of diving in. Luckily someone in my group ordered it and gave me a taste....I ended up getting a cocktail. Decided on the Tin Lizard and was very pleased with it. It was nice and refreshing and was filled to the brim. Had to sip it down a bit in order to be able to walk back to the table with it. We stumbled upon this place because we were looking for something to do to pass time. We went here over Valentine's Day weekend on Saturday around 5pm and there was no wait! The place did get a bit crowded though. This place is basically like a sports bar and they have TWO floors to dine in with food, drinks, and TVs to watch. We had to find a table to seat ourself and order from the QR code on the table. I noticed that not every table has a QR code, so that made it a little confusing. Anyways, we ordered the Chicken Quesadilla and 2 Tacos (Pork). The chicken quesadilla was very stuffed and had a hint of salsa flavor in it. I have a low spice tolerance, so that quesadilla got a little too spicy for me. The tacos were good too, but I'm usually more of either a birria taco or a normal crunchy taco person, but I did like how loaded these tacos here were. It also tasted a little plain and I felt like I had to drench it with sauce for it to have some flavor. I'd recommend this place! They have a lot of drinks here and other food options which might be better than the ones we ordered. You can sit inside or outside, and for the inside, there is a small upstairs space as well with a bar (although the bar was not open the night I was there). Very cool space to gather. Drinks aren't watered down. Food is served fast and fresh. Service is ok. My bartender was upbeat, polite, and patient. Most of the servers I interacted with were on the quieter non-interactive side. One waitress made a snarky comment that I took exception to. Food wise, the French fries are shareable and garlicky! The Brussels Sprouts were good. The chicken wings I'd give 4/5 stars. I'd recommend having the sauce infused with the wings as opposed to on the side to get the full flavor profile. My protein-style burger was great but expensive ($22) once I added in the extras (egg, bacon, avocado). Parking can be a tiny issue (street parking) and there is a homeless encampment across the street from the venue (as of 11.5.23). I like that they offer half pours of beer. I wanted some friends in SFO and they suggested we meet at southern pacific brewing. I had never been to a brewery in the city so was not sure what to expect. First things first, parking is always a pain in the city so I was a little anxious but there is a lot of street parking within walking distance and I found a spot about 200m away. This place is a hidden gem, they have a lot of seating place, the beer was great and the food options were quite decent. I got the Pale ale and the brussels sprout with cheese. We also got the sage fries which were good, although the mango sour wasn't particularly good. If I have another occasion to meet folks in the city, I am coming back here if possible. read more

Had a blast at Southern Pacific Brewing last night! Southern Pacific Brewing is a huge warehouse dive bar/restaurant tucked in the Mission. My boyfriend and I went with our two other friends, and although we only got three appetizers + one dessert, we left very full. We split the Nacho Tray, the Buffalo Cauliflower, and the Brussels Sprouts. The Nacho Tray was HUGE and incredibly delicious. There was a perfect ratio of topping to chip, and made all of us very full. The Brussels Sprouts were also a standout, perfectly charred and with a slight sweet twinge, which was delicious. The only disappointment was the Buffalo Cauliflower, which was not breaded, and simply roasted cauliflower smothered in buffalo sauce. I would try to make that extra clear in the menu to avoid confusion. For dessert, we got the dark and white chocolate bread pudding which was also a bit of a disappointment. Instead of being smothered in dark and white chocolate, it was a regular, a bit dry, bread pudding with dark and white chocolate chips. Once again not well advertised, and would be fixed by even just including the picture of the dish on the ordering website, as most other dishes have pictures too. Other than that, the drinks were great, and we had a wonderful time. The venue was a little loud, and although the outside portion was quieter, it was harder to find a seat. In the past I've always gone w/the Coconut Fried Chicken Wings, but today, I tried something else, the Fish & Chips. They were outstanding and the order not skimpy. 3 decent sized pieces of fish, fresh from the fryer and a nice mound of skinny fries. Fish was flaky, great coating and not too greasy. That all washed down w/one of their signature beers and I was a happy camper. I can't say enough nice things about this pub, the ambiance, the food and the service, all spot on. The only downside was one of them had ice in it, which is terrible because I dislike ice in my drinks, let alone in cider. Their food on the other hand, hmmm, it's messy. Those sauces are uncalled for and unnecessary. But they had the BEST garlic fries. Love it. But those sauces in the burger though, borderline disgusting to me (sorry). Had to reduce one star for that. They had pretty big seating area. Comfortable for groups and long sips. One of the thing I remember was the comment of the cashier when me and my husband bought the same food though, "oh ok so you're just going to copy whatever he orders, ok."
