I was killing time on Saturday early afternoon on Valencia, when I walked by Curio. How is it I've never visited? I walked in, and somebody greeted me and started to hand me a menu. I just wanted to sit at the bar, I said. So he showed me to the bar on the right. No one else was there except the staff. I say, and asked for a drink menu. Nice list! I started with a Chupacabra, while the music, not too loud, played karaoke friendly tunes. A woman named Amanda, visiting from D.C. joined at the bar, and we started bopping along with Dez, the barkeep. Dez was fun, and offered us both a shot of a coffee concoction, which I gratefully accepted. I wasn't planning on a second drink, but the Sphinx sounded interesting, so I ordered. Like the first drink, it was excellent. Some of the staff came in, and shots of tequila were poured for them. Dez offered the same to me and Amanda, and again I accepted. We had a nice conversation about favorites, and I told her that I always like to ask the bartender what their favorite drink is, which is true. She quickly whipped up...something. But I felt like I stumbled upon one of those "but two get three free" soda sales at Safeway. I will definitely be back.

Popped in at 1pm on a Sunday and it was not busy- easily seated 4. The restaurant feels a little moody for brunch but the food was delicious and the drinks were flowing! Got: -Breakfast Napolean - really unique take on a Benedict/breakfast sandwich. Great layers and the puff pastry was nice and crispy. Texture texture texture, and Delicious. -Brioche French Toast - crispy outside, and soft inside, literally melt in your mouth. It was a bit stuffed with some custard inside as well. Really tasty. Absolutely getting this one again. Also did the bottomless mimosa for $25! Great deal and the drinks were perfect, really drank my worth of mimosas easily, and they didn't taste watered down or anything.

This was one of the very worst dining experiences I've ever had in San Francisco. First and foremost, the restaurant was freezing, and we were somehow placed in an area where the heater did not work. There were plenty of other tables where we could have been placed, and we were a large group of five or six people, so it was especially uncomfortable. The food was absolutely dreadful. The salmon was dry and overcooked. The vegetables were also overcooked, a bit oily, and bland. Nothing we had suggested much care in preparation. The tables were picnic-bench style and felt very cheap and cramped for the price point. There are tons of better places at similar price points in San Francisco. Overall, between the freezing temperature, uncomfortable seating, and poor food execution, this was a very disappointing experience L

My husband and I just randomly came across this restaurant that looked like it had some nice brunch options so we decided to check it out. It seems reservations are preferred, however we had none but were able to get in in decent timing. One thing I didn't love was how tiny and wobbly our table was. I was constantly trying to make sure I wasn't knocking stuff off our table. Also didn't love that the water glass they gave us still very clearly had a lipstick imprint on it. The server was super apologetic and got us new glasses right away, but he was mostly busy and didn't really check on us again afterwards. We waited some time before being able to wave someone down for to-go boxes and then again for our check. The food ended up being on the boring side - maybe it was just what we chose. My husband had the french toast - it was ok, nothing spectacular. I had the birriaquilas, it was ok but expected more birria/taste of birria. The salsa that was used kinda tasted like a canned enchilada sauce and I didn't feel like I got much from the birria. Overall it wasn't necessarily a bad experience, it just wasn't really great and not somewhere I feel like I'd say "Yes, you absolutely should go there!"

Had a solid dinner here before seeing a concert at the Chapel! We were sat outside and there was a reggae jazz band playing which made the ambiance pretty fun! The band was engaging, groovy and entertaining to watch and listen to while having dinner. We got the calamari to start. Served hot, crispy and loved the dipping sauces that came with it. I also appreciated the peppers that were in the dish as well. For our main we split the coca cola braised bbq ribs dinner plate. The ribs were fall of the bone sticky, tangy and delicious. I couldnt particularly taste the coca cola aspect but they were good! The house pickles in this entree quickly became my favorite. The beans were decent but very tiny. It was like a shot glass size serving of beans. Would have appreciated a larger amount to enjoy. Service was a bit lackluster and not the most friendly or attentive but at least our dinner was good. I saw that they have a happy hour so I'd like to come check that out sometime.

I made a reservation the day before for Mother's Day brunch and surprisingly it wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be. We got seated at 11:20 a little bit later than the resy, but the servers were super great and attentive. They do AYCD mimosas here which could be a vibe, but definitely not what I was going for on this Sunday morning. Maybe I'll come back and try it a different time! Breakfast Napoleon (5/5): Definitely the best item out of everything we ordered. The puff pastry as the bread parts of the sandwich were so yummy and the chicken was delicious. Brunch Burger (4/5): Not my favorite either but a solid burger. The fries were a little not as crunchy as I would have liked, but still good. A solid choice in sandwich. Birriaquiles (4/5): Honestly, not my favorite. I thought there was going to be more stuff on top of the chips, but there wasn't as much meat as I would have liked. The one positive is that the chips were SUPER crispy EVEN though they had soaked in all the sauce. It was so so crispy and flavorful, which was honestly really good and not soggy chips like you might expect. Huevos Rancheros (4/5): Not bad, it's a bit small, and a lot of beans, but a solid crunch and good flavors.

Solid brunch spot in the mission. Bottomless mimosas to help you wash down good food. The breakfast burrito and eggs Benedict are standout menu items as is the chicken and mini waffles. Attentive staff and most weekends they have live performances to add to the brunch experience. Come hungry and enjoy.

Me and my mans went on a Saturday night. The building itself gives the feeling immense and spooky labyrinth. Being that I seem to gain 5 pounds every weekend on my excursions with him, I've been trying to order lighter meals. I got the mushroom and sweet mashed potato dish, and it was really good. savory, well seasoned, succulent, other s words. I tried a bite of his tacos, so I could mention them in this review, and that's when it all went down hill. Will yelp be the justification I use to keep ordering the delicious food when I go out? Maybe. But I digress. Looking at other tables, the burgers made my mouth noticeably salivate. The buns seemed to be a well griddled bagel bun that they must make in house. I would love to go back again and again. The entertainment that night involved 2 men playing flamenco style music on guitars, very talented. It seems like a great place that scouts talent to perform, I noticed there was a venue in another part of the labyrinth. This would definitely be a common destination for me if I lived closer or drove into the city more often.

We came here on a Sunday and the outdoor patio was warm and cozy. Their menu selection was delicious and my daughter finished her whole burger, which says a lot! The salad with fried chicken was perfect and the drinks were refreshing. The service on friendly and causal.

Food was fantastic - appetizers were all delicious (calamari, deviled eggs, birria balls, tater tots), I enjoyed my curio Cobb salad with fried chicken pieces and a good ranch dressing. Service was also very quick and friendly and outdoor patio was nice with heaters - live music on Saturday on the patio. Note they did close the outdoor patio ceiling half way through our meal so we were basically inside. Cocktails were good - especially loved the chupacabra!

The food was okay, nothing noteworthy in my personal opinion, a little overpriced for what it is. The patio area is nice on a sunny day to eat outside! Mimosas were all you can drink for 25 bucks which is pretty reasonable.

BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS IS WHY I CAME!!! At $25/pp for 90 mins in SF, on a weekend, NOT during HH?! It really doesn't get better than this! We got orange for the first round and cranberry for the second round. Yes, we definitely made the 90min bottomless worth while!! Treated my cousin here for brunch and I must say it does get crowed quickly. Our wait time was about an hour, once seated I ordered the "salmon Benedict" and my cousin ordered the "Hangover". The spot is small but not crowded, they had a separate bar and apparently is connected to a theater as well but that's a whole different space that's accessible during night time I believe. Parking is always hard in the mission district so be mindful of that. Overall it's a great brunch space, literal hidden gem.

The space has a fun indoor-outdoor party vibe with string lights, a big bar area, and a lot of people moving through throughout the night. Because it gets very crowded during First Thursdays, the energy feels more like a social event than a typical bar night. The photo here was taken from their little loft area, which is actually really cute and a great spot for people watching since you can see the whole bar and crowd from above. One thing I wasn't sure about was the plastic cups. Every time I've gone they've served drinks in plastic cups, but since it's so busy during First Thursdays, I'm not sure if that's their normal setup or just something they do to keep things moving during the event. I ordered a rosé, which was perfectly fine and easy to drink while walking around.

I love mezcal's smoky flavors and was drawn to the combination of ginger, citrus and mezcal flavors in the drink. The cocktail was very good and had a nice smokiness from the mezcal, along with the kick from the ginger and zest from the citrus, creating a refreshing and tasty drink. My friend got the About Thyme, with gin, blackberry liquor, black pepper thyme syrup and fresh citrus.
