    Braised pork with hawthorn
    Cassandra K.

Absolutely delicious food. I have been twice and enjoyed it immensely. The staff are super kind, funny and friendly. I have also ordered takeout. This past trip I ordered the braised pork with hawthorn, which melts in your mouth. My biggest comment is it is a bit on the small portion size for the price, and doesn't come with rice like other restaurants in the area do include for thier entrée dishes.

Very nice Decor. Seated quickly. Clean and comfortable, good quality food- prices reasonable for the above average food quality. Very good selection with the exception of the desert menu; they have both authentic Asian food and also the Americanized version of it. Service was okay most of the time; they did keep out glasses full, however it took about 15 minutes to track someone down to take our order and then again later to get the check. Disappointed that they added a 15% service fee for only 4 people. Will probably return

Stopped in at about 4:15 on a Friday. Unsurprisingly was the only patron in the establishment. Was seated quickly by the friendly waitress. This place has a large menu with lots of different options. Lots of organ meat. Spine, feet, ear- you name it. Not familiar with "authentic" Chinese cuisine but this spot definitely has a vastly different selection than any other Chinese spot I've been to. Oh the place also does not have descriptions of the food on the menu and while some of the names are straightforward, others are much more vague. If you're picky be warned. I ordered the pork heart skewers, tiger salad, and bibimbap. They were unfortunately all out of pork heart so I ordered marinated beef skewers instead. The skewer was very very very tasty and came with a plate of peppercorns to dip it in. However portion size was small for 7.00. I'd still buy it again though cause I was impressed by the taste. Tiger salad was something else. It arrived looking unassuming composed of what was seemingly just cilantro, green pepper, salt, and bean sprouts. Holy God was this salad spicy. I enjoyed the flavor but it my mouth felt like I was eating razor blades it was so hot. Probably will not order again even though the flavor was good- I happen to be pro-cilantro. The bibimbap was the best I've had in Syracuse. The food was excellent and service quick. I will say the place is definitely pricey. Almost 60 for just myself. However the quality and taste of the food matches the price so it's all good in my book. Will 100% be back.

Wow, didn't expect this gem in Syracuse! You're in for a real treat if you're looking for some authentic food. This is a korean-Chinese place, but we opted to only try the Chinese food. Menu is vast (with some funny google translate mishaps, but that's when you know it's authentic). Things are a little pricey, but the portions are large. This would be great for a large group. We tried the fish - listed as larimichthys polyactis (on the bbq/skewer menu), malaa dry pot, and a enoki/cucumber dish as well as ordered two bowls of rice. Because this is a somewhat fusion place, we were pleasantly surprised by some pickled radish and bean sprouts (though this would be less than the number of side dishes given at a Korean restaurant). I love malaa dry pot so this made me very happy! Based on different photos from previously, it looks like they tend to throw in whatever is in season into the pot (I've seen some photos with bok choy, lotus root, etc.). Ours had a lot of bean sprouts. The flavor was delicious though. The only thing I would change is I wish they included some noodles to soak up all the goodness. The mushroom/cucumber dish was just alright (portion was huge though). Flavoring reminded me of pickling/side dishes like kimchi. I wouldn't order it again considering how expansive the menu is. The fish was decent, simple and from frozen. We would have ordered some skewers but the portions are too large. Will definitely be back!

I am so glad we checked out this restaurant today. I have been driving by it so many times but never remembered to come here when i wanted to try something new. The food is absolutely delicious and very authentic. They do have an American Chinese menu, but I would stick with the authentic foods. The prices are a bit high and k ended up spending 100$ for two people when I wasn't planning on it, but the food was so good it was worth it. I highly recommend the beef with scallion and the quail. I was not a fan of the grilled corn though. Definitely come here when you have the chance!

Overall pretty good, authentic northern Chinese food! They're pretty sneaky with the charges tho , they would hand you a total price without the breakdown , and they'd have charged an 18% service fee already. Kinda felt like a scam... beware

    Deep fried beef with chili

Absolutely authentic. When you see the menu, you'll understand that the slop you get in 99.9% of "Chinese" restaurants is exactly the same where ever you go. Now we have two authentic restaurants here so there's no excuse for Lo Mein and egg rolls. Sweet and sour "Quelque Choses". Get in here and try the unbelievably delicious food. I had the deep fried beef with chili... sensational and a big portion. Nice airy room with a bit of privacy for the customers provided by screens. Friendly quick service. This and "Tang Flavour" are so far ahead of every other quasi Chinese slop house, it's just not worth going anywhere else.

    Sautéed spare ribs, $16

I didn't really expect much walking into the place, but the ambiance impressed me with its privacy seating clean setup. The service was nice and punctual. The BBQ items were appealing but we were hungry and wanted a full meal right away, so we took in the stir fried beef with hot chili and the sautéed spare ribs in spicy sauce. Kim Chi was given before the meal which was a nice added touch and gave me confusion on what type of restaurant this was, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. As for the dishes... first off they were incredibly salty. I was also disappointed with the spare ribs as they were obviously deep fried prior to being sautéed, which made them very tough, oily, and lacked flavor. I found myself going back to the stir fried beef several times (while ordering drink refills to wash away the saltiness). Their menu is diverse and it seems like their kabobs are hit. I would try it again and post another review!

COME HERE! Ridiculously delicious food, nice waitress who was attentive. Separate booths make for privacy and distance. I ordered a spicy Mala dish that they made vegetarian for me. Woodear mushrooms and bokchoy and bean sprouts, too. Cute flame under my dish cooked and kept it hot just long enough. Maybe a little further down Erie Blvd but ample parking, no wait and good service! Huge menu. Glad I'm a vegetarian with bull penis kebab on the menu

    Cabbage and Meatball Soup

So, we returned today with our Son and I can honestly say that I'm happier today than I was with my first review. The Dry Spicy Pork absolutely rocked, the Cabbage and Meatball soup was full of flavor on tasty, the Eggplant with Spicy Garlic was outrageous and my son refused to share his shrimp kabobs. Let's just say that I'm doing a happy dance right now.

    Mixed Spicy Dry Pot

Very nice atmosphere. Nice large menu, which actually makes it a lot harder to pick something out, but I ordered the mixed spicy dry pot and the prawn Kabobs. Flavors were really good and when they say spicy, it is Spicy, had to fight through it, since it tasted so good. FYI the prawn Kabobs are really hard to remove the shell, I wouldn't order that again for that reason only. I will definitely return.

Googled "best asian in Syracuse" while driving through on my way back to Ithaca. I chose this place because I was alone and out of all the choices it looked like the one my wife would say no to. It was so legit. So many things I wanted to try, next time I will come with a larger crew so we can share more. Booths are set up nicely for some privacy and social distance. I will definitely force my wife to come back with me one day.

This place is SO good. Was almost empty when we came in, so we were immediately greeted and seated. Ordered a big pot of tomato and egg soup. For $8, you can't go wrong. Would highly recommend mixing some rice into a bowl of that soup, makes it taste just that much better. As this place is a bbq place, we got the lamb bbq and oh man was that worth the $20. So flavorful, especially with the salt/pepper/something on the side that you swirl it in. Various other dishes, all authentic, all fantastic, and at ~$13 per dish it's pretty good value. They even threw in a free thing of vegetarian dumplings. Topped it all off with some delicious barley tea. Place is clean, definitely would not consider it a hole in the wall by any means. Service is excellent. Will 100% come back again!

I went because of word of mouth. I ordered an eggplant fried rice. The taste was just fine and the price was on the high end.

The reviews looked promising, so I called ahead and placed my order. They told me it would be ready in about 10 minutes, which was perfect. I ordered wonton soup, orange chicken, and house fried rice (my favorite because you get the mix of chicken, shrimp, and sometimes pork). I completely forgot to take photos when I first got my food, so the pictures I posted are actually from the leftovers I brought to work the next day for lunch -- which also shows they give solid portion sizes, pretty typical and generous for a Chinese restaurant. The staff was very kind, and one thing I really appreciated was that they had utensils and sauces set out for customers to grab themselves. I feel like a lot of restaurants can be a little stingy with sauces or charge for every extra, so it was refreshing to be able to take what I needed without having to ask. For that alone, I'd give them five stars for customer service. As for the food, it was good -- not bad at all -- but I personally wanted a little more flavor and seasoning. I would definitely eat here again, but I'm still on the search for my go-to Chinese spot. If anyone has recommendations for a place with bold flavor and great seasoning, let me know!

The General Tso's chicken was flavorful but a bit too sweet for my liking. The Triple Szechuan Delight was just okay. Definitely not my favorite, but the House Special Chow Fun was tasty.
