However, if they late cancel your appointment they aren't accommodating for a re-schedule. Unless you can re-arrange your life expect to be several months out--as in at the time of your next cleaning. As a professional myself if I have to late cancel someone due to unforeseen circumstances I make sure to go above and beyond to accommodate a re-schedule that is convenient for the person because I value the time they set aside. I guess I should always remember that not everyone has that same level of professionalism.

Dr Andersen and crew have always been friendly and professional. They provide wonderful care. At 68 years old, I've been to a number of dentists over the years. Dr Andersen and staff are the best! I'd like to add that yesterday an old crown that had been placed by a prior dentist fractured and chipped off. I called Artisan Dental last evening to see if I could get in today. I got a return call at 7:15 this morning, was in their chair at 9 AM, and was done with a new crown at 11:15 AM. Thank you so much Rochelle, Dr Rehermann, and Cassie for such speedy, kind, and professional service. I have no idea how people could have had negative experiences. After going at least twice a year for 8 years, I've always been treated exceptionally well. They have a very comfortable waiting room with some fun things for anyone who might have some nervous kids - or adults who are kids at heart. The staff was very easy to talk to and professional. They answered my laundry list of questions, some of which probably toed the line on what is and what is not their actual responsibility. Special thanks to Sky who helped me feel calm and at home as we watched a cooking show on the tv above the patient chair (nice!). Lastly, the complete transparency during checkout was really a huge selling point. They showed me a complete breakdown for my follow up appointment so that I could make adjustments as needed and avoid any awkward sticker shock conversations. Thankfully, my insurance covered most of my appointments, but I know that is not always the case for everyone; the transparency during scheduling is telling of their business model! This was surprising since my dental health had historically been great, so I planned to get a second opinion. The office tried to schedule a follow-up appointment less than two weeks later, placing immediate pressure on me to commit. Throughout my visit, I was repeatedly offered unnecessary whitening services in a manner that would be shaming or mortifying for many patients. I declined all of this flagrant and pushy upselling. I got a second and third opinion from excellent dentists who disagreed with Dr. Ducommun's assessment and were concerned by the aggressiveness of the recommendation. However, subjectivity in dental philosophy and salesmanship wasn't the most notable negative part of this visit. Dr. Ducommun asked me a series of invasive questions about the social and power dynamics of my parents' relationship. There was no context for it. It was an extremely uncomfortable and inappropriate line of questioning. I left the office shaking. This was one of my most stressful interactions in a medical setting and I finally decided to leave feedback on this topic after the review sitting as a draft for a couple years. I strongly recommend recurring, trauma-informed trainings for the entire staff, both the care and admin teams, alongside cultural sensitivity trainings. One compliment for No Fear: I cannot emphasize enough how great the hygienist was. It has been a few years since this visit, but he was gentle, patient, and truly kind.

They also have consistently been the most thorough and the most comprehensive dentists I have even been to. They truly treat your teeth and your oral health as an important part of your body health, not a separate one. Turns out, it was playing a role in a problem I have, and we're now able to fix it. The clinic is small but not stuffy or congested, and very comfortable. There are bright colors, plants, plenty of sunlight, and nature sounds playing very low in the background. If you have anxiety about medical and/or dentist care, this helps a great deal. If you don't, it'll still be very pleasant. Everything is extremely clean but still comfortable, and I always feel safe going there. They are a busy office so sometimes scheduling can be pushed out but I've always gotten a call about openings and have been able to get in earlier than expected. They have provided excellent communication and referrals when needed. I have been so happy with my hygienist. My teeth always feel so clean after. She's efficient and thorough. Dr. Brittany Bowen is awesome. She is kind, patient, and truly listens. I know she is always doing what is best for me and my health. Each room is set up like a pretty standard dental office, very clean. On my first visit, they told me they like to do a full set of x-rays just to get an idea of what my teeth are like overall, but my insurance didn't cover for a full set. So they told me they will still do the full x-ray set, but just write it as whatever my insurance will cover, and they will cover the remaining cost. How great is that?!? The staff is wonderful and courteous, also very punctual. I'm never waiting in the waiting room for more than 5 minutes. The cleanings are done nice and quickly, I'm in and out in less than an hour. Dr. Vaandehaar is great! He always makes suggestions for me to consider, but is never pushy about getting anything done that isn't absolutely necessary. For example, when I had a cavity, he obviously strongly recommended that I take care of it asap. But when it came to some preventative things, he told me what was going on, and what some options are and said it's something to think about. The only complaint that I have is, they do send A LOT of appointment reminders via email and text, multiple times leading up to your appointment. Yes, you can totally opt out of it, so I guess this is really on me. Also, TDC is the only place that staff actually came in and sang happy birthday to me during my cleaning. It was so sweet!
