Everything a small town bakery should be. Reasonably priced. Delicious food. And now onto the cakes.... some of the most delicious cakes I've ever tasted have come from here. It's tradition to get our birthday cakes from here and we always get chocolate with their whipped cream frosting. TO-DIE-FOR! There are not many places like this any longer. Donuts and cakes are top. Their kringles are simply awesome.

The products are well done and I have enjoyed eating the food. It is too bad that the service is horrible. I will caveat this as a place that has a few employees that do not like children. I assume this as we have visited on multiple occasions and have been ignored or scoffed at. Our children did not yell or cause any problems so I can't see why else they would react this way. Again, this has happened multiple times. The donuts are good, and unless you want to get them from Pick n Save, this is the only game in town. Maybe they think we have to shop there? Regrettably I will not be shopping there again due to the service. My review is based on the service we received. I believe that is a large part of running a store regardless of how good the product is. Whomever bakes does a fine job, but they need to learn to provide to people they may not like if they want to be considered having good customer service. 4 stars for the food, negative 2 for service. read more

Absolutely wonderful. The prices are incredibly reasonable for product that tastes like it is made from scratch and the portions are huge. We had a glazed croissant the size of my forearm and a cream cheese danish the size of my face. Both were amazing. The staff wasn't too busy with guests but they all continued to work and make sure the establishment was clean and organized and well stocked. Despite doing constant work, everyone was very attentive to the needs of the guests who came in. Wonderful place and we will be back again when we are in the area. And maybe taking some treats home with us too! read more

Prices are good, but the stuff is pretty ordinary. Cinnamon rolls are below average, donuts are average, scones are a little sweet for my taste. The buns and rolls are good though. read more

I LOVE this bakery. It is a familiar, small town feel with amazingly delicious baked treats. My absolute favorite cupcake in the world. Now, mind you, it depends what you are looking for. This is a down-home bakery, not a fancy building, and the bathroom upstairs has a shorter ceiling than I am tall. Despite that, I have long loved this bakery. I think the quirks add to the charm. read more

a fan of the sweets that is ... had a nice window seat too ... some of their recipes are top notch, and you wont find them anywhere else. the only drawback to a five star rating was the customer service and servers ... a handful of teenaged girls gossiping and use of foul language when not serving guests had me hurrying to leave ... Great friendly staff. Wonderful baked goods. You must try the cherry pie squares (typically hiding on the bottom shelf in the "bar" case with the brownies) and the pecan rolls are just like the ones my german grandmother used to make when we spent the weekend with her. disappointed in cake decorating job fosdals did on a birthday cake i ordered. not even close to their usually pretty cakes. i've ordered many cakes over the years. this was a real disappointment. don't know what the problem was and i did not mention it to counter person. hope they do better on the next cake i buy. this one was not up to the high standard that comes out of fosdals bakery. hope it tastes good. read more

Since Fosdals deleted it the first time, guess I'll post again. They have Terrible management. Doesn't know how to treat emoloyees. Schedules you for ridiculous amount of days in a row (7-12) and then when you tell them you can't do that, they fire you. I was told "it's called being an adult, maybe you'll figure it out someday" when I got scheduled 7 days in a row on top of having another job they knew about. They don't give you breaks unless you are under 18 and to top it off. THE PLACE IS DISGUSTING! dishwasher doesn't work properly and hasn't for over a year so dishes are not clean 100% of the time. Basically just rinsed off. Bakers in the back take smoke breaks and don't wash their hands after or ever wear gloves. There is a nasty orange water that drips from the dishwasher in back and the floors are full of gunk. Not sure how they pass health inspections but do not recommend ever working here. The food is good but behind the scenes it's gross so who knows what you are actually eating. Sorry Fosdals. I loved them while growing up but it has changed and is absolutely gross. read more
