This place makes great sandwiches and pizza and is in a really convenient location for me. I stop in a lot. I'm not giving it 5 starts because the last several times I've gone in, the two younger blonde girls are not very nice. Never a smile from them and I feel like I'm really inconveniencing them. I NEVER review things but I have to tell you that Foss deli is amazing. Their sandwiches are huge and the lady who makes them is super nice. This place has very nice workers and lots of different products, but sadly the quality of said products isn't always that great. More than once I've found holes in the packaged food I've bought. Food that can't have any openings in the plastic or else it's ruined. Also, I feel like the store itself should be a little cleaner. I don't see myself buying any pizza or sandwiches here for that very reason. read more

Very poor customer service every time I go there. The clerks are more interested in talking to each other then the customer. I went there to grab a few things today, thinking it would easier than driving down to Safeway, but now I wish I would have made the trip to Safeway. The cashier was very loud and watching the Seahawks game while ringing up my items. She didn't even acknowledge me and was shouting at the TV instead of giving me my cash back. Very rude. I will not be spending my money there again to pay her salary. read more

Fun local store with whole-in-the-wall, small town feel. Great pizzas and breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Very casual vibe; the kind of place you would come across lakeside and stop in for a bottle of mustard or a six pack of beer and sunscreen. Old fashion small grocery store with exceptionally low prices. I came in on Saturday 7-1-17 at about 9am. Although it's a throwback to the 1960's, it's well stocked. The prices were surprisingly low in comparison to typical convenience stores. The cashier was even friendly and made eye contact. read more

Definitely not what you would expect from the outside. Lots of character. Very friendly and clearly a local favorite as there were a couple of obvious regulars stop in in the short time I was there. I had read about the pizza in a yelp post which is why I went and it did not dissapoint. Not your typical convienent store pizza. In fact, it was better than most pizza places (I'm just stopping short of calling it one of the best pepperoni pizzas I've had). Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. read more

Went into this little deli and grocery store after I went to my doctor's appointment since it had such great reviews. The sandwiches taste great and are massive! I got the hot beef and that was delicious and the Italian was so packed that my husband couldn't even finish it. The 2 ladies that were working there or might be the actual owners were so friendly and accommodating. I'll definitely will be stopping by when I'm in the area. read more

I grew up in the area but left for university and only returned a few years ago to start a new life back home. I was excited to see Foss was still around AND that they had made some changes like adding in the deli. I stopped in one day while making my move back and saw the pizza and asked if it was true New York style. They said they weren't familiar with New York style BUT the family that makes their pizza dough every day is from New York, so I figured I would give it a try. All I can say is WOW! yes this pizza is the real thing. I have searched in the Seattle area for pizza that was even close to New York / Brooklyn style and never found it until this place. I love that they allow you to select your own toppings and even give you the option of having them cook it or you take it home and cook it. The sauce is great, not overwhelming, and the toppings are extremely fresh, and the crust is the absolute best, it has just right consistency and flavor that helps to bring out the taste of the toppings. I have ordered from here several times and have never been disappointed and have introduced many others to the pizza who have also been extremely surprised at how a small mom & pop type grocery store & deli can turn out such amazing pizza. I give 5 stars for both the pizza and the staff who are always so friendly. If you want to taste real pizza AND the BEST pizza in the Covington / Kent area, you have to give this place a try. Been going to Foss store close to 30years now. When in the area we always stop in for a pizza or sandwich. I have to say it is the best pizza in town. The staff are all very friendly and generally remember your name. My kids all stop in and they take there kids, Foss is a family friendly store that has a little of everything love it.
