We've had a gift card to use for years now and oddly still haven't redeemed it.  Mind you, there are no Fossil stores on Maui so each time we're on Oahu we head in.  Here's our story.   BRIEF HISTORY: Fossil was founded in 1984 by Tom Kartsotis out of Texas.  Its mission was to bring exquisite Swiss-made watches to America at affordable prices.  Fossil has since acquired several well-established Swiss-based watch companies, where they also have their design studios.  Their line expanded in 1990 to include leather goods.  They also design watches for several fashion houses.   THE STORE: Before moving to the International Market Place, they had a street front store along Kalakaua Avenue. It was a super small but adequate space.   EXPERIENCE: Being that they specialize in watches, I expected more of a selection, especially with their automatic watches, but just around just five styles existed.  The watch was actually for my spouse, but I voiced my opinion too (as I am a Yelper, LOL). I didn't care for the faces, bands, colors and combos. I love skeleton faces but none could be found. A lot of the pieces were priced high ($250+) but we didn't want to pay any extra especially since we didn't LOVE any of them. SERVICE: No one assisted us as the sole worker was helping someone else as we walked in. OVERALL: We hope to find the winner someday! read more

I had an amazing customer service experience here. I knew I needed a smart watch for work because I kept missing important calls. I couldn't decide between a Fitbit or smart watch. I decided to go to the fossil store to just check it out. They were great!! Kelvin spent over an hour with me listening to what I was looking for in a device and explaining features. When his shift was over sayuri (I think) finished helping me. They price matched an online deal for me. Then I went back 2 days later because I found a better deal and Mel the manager had no problem adjusting my price. Overall excellent customer service and attention. PERSONAL SHOPPER I love Fossil Products and the best place to buy them at is FOSSIL WAIKIKI. You seriously feel like you have a personal shopper with you. LOCATION The store is in a cute corner and is very small; 10 people would make the store seemed packed. Everything in the store is compacted, but very organized. All the men and women selections are on their own sides and all the watches are displayed very neatly. I have ever seen a mess or products not in an orderly fashion. All of their leather goods are also in neat little sections, but can be easily observed. The only downfall is parking. I am unsure where we are supposed to park, they also don't have a public restroom in the near vicinity. Parking and public restrooms in Waikiki is not a reason to knock off a start though; almost every store is like that in Waikiki so it wouldn't be something to hold against them. SERVICE Amazing! The workers here really know their products and style for each individual. They start off with casual talk and get a sense of what you are looking for and your style. Then they start to suggest products that fit your lifestyle. For example, I talked about traveling while I was looking at a watch and the friendly worker suggested a passport case. I never even thought of buying a passport case, but it was an amazing idea. I have been thinking of getting one of their passport cases ever since; I just need to get a passport first. The service here is on point. VARIETY Like I stated above, the store is compact and organized very neatly and holding mainly the newer product lines. Thus, if you want an older style, you may have to go to the Ala Moana Store. Also, they are always willing to check for other colors online and you could order it or they could send you over to the Ala Moana Store with the product you want on hold. So in the end, you can come to the Waikiki store to try out things with more privacy and then head over to the Ala Moana Store for a particular item if they didn't have it in stock. I think it is worth it going to Fossil Waikiki. The workers here are awesome and very welcoming. read more

Just purchased the new hybrid hr watch from fossil This is a really cool new technology that gives me that classic look with some cool features. Text and call notifications pop up as well as a built in heart rate monitor! This is perfect for people who aren't ready for a full blown smart watch and prefer a classic style. I had an issue with the first one I bought as the text notifications were not popping up and went back to see Bobby and Mel. They were so helpful through the whole process they got me another one which works flawlessly. Thank you both for the excellent service! I'm sure I will be back for more later. read more

I went into the store on a whim. Happened to be wearing my Fossil watch that was gifted to me 2+ years ago. The date had stopped working so I decided to ask if it could be fixed. Sayuri and Jenny greeted me at the same time. I explained the situation. They looked up some info and handed me a replacement watch... it was that easy! They both smiled and said, "That's how good Fossil is with their warranties." I had no idea! I'm super happy with the service I received tonight and got way more than expected. Service in here is wonderful as I was assisted by an associate named Mel. She is the assistant store manager in this location and I think she should be the store manager! I went in just to browse to kill time before I start work since I work in the area. Mel was extremely friendly and knew a lot about her product. She took her time to explain the product in store and was great at striking up conversation which made me feel comfortable to be in the store. There were 2 other people in the store who were customers and she did not miss a beat by greeting and acknowledged their presence. I would love to hire her as an employee for my own store! Slower foot traffic stores should have more employees like Mel! read more

This Fossil is at the beginning of the shopping strip of Kalakaua. You are forewarned, it's flipping tiny! But despite the cube like store, they carry as much as Ala Moana. Men's on the left, women's on the right. The workers are awesome. Totally helpful and not too pushy with sales. The Ala Moana staff can get a little aggressive and in my face sometimes, but I feel comfortable at this Waikiki location. That's saying a lot considering they're working with a lot less space. You would think because of that it would be more of an awkward experience, but the workers have managed to keep me comfortable, even while window shopping. As for the products, I don't know much. But I do love their leather and watches. They have a 11 year warranty on the watches for anything under the screen (like mechanics), and for any cosmetic damages, it's a $35 charge to get it sent to be repaired. The awesome part is the company will repair the entire watch and not just the part that is damaged! Don't be intimidated from the small and awkward looking exterior, because once inside you'll feel at ease and the employees will be more than willing to help you out! read more

Wow the service here is amazing! My husband and I were strolling through the mall when we decided to check out Fossil to get him a replacement wallet. Alex was an awesome help. She allowed us to look at every wallet in the store to pick out just the right one. When ringing us up, Alex accompanied with Bobby were very personable as we were visiting Waikiki on our honeymoon. They both gave us great tips on what to do and where to eat. On our last day at Waikiki we found our way strolling through the mall again when it was opening. Bobby caught a glance of us while opening the store and said, "This is your last day, right?" We couldn't believe he remembered us and that it was our last day!! We bought two bracelets that I had been looking at days prior and chatted up about our adventure on Oahu. I cannot speak highly enough of Bobby and Alex. They are truly genuine people and really added to the overall exceptional experience we had at this Fossil location. read more

My husband and I have been a consistent fossil shoppers for over 8 years now. And the reason why, the customer service is top notch. And not just at my main store, EVERY SINGLE STORE. Bobby at this fossil location was amazing! We came in with our friends the first day, he welcomed us was so nice answered all of our questions we didn't purchase anything and when we left he said," see you tomorrow!" The next day we found ourselves going back to fossil and sure enough Bobby was there he welcomed us back and we sat down with the other gentleman there and he helped our friend get a fossil q. Love it! Bobby asked is about our day and what we had done we sat and chit chatted while our friend decided on a band etc. Bobby was so attentive to us and informative giving us lots of good tips for the rest of trip. We also walked out with a watch for my husband. Our tradition is a new job or promotion = new fossil watch. =] thanks Bobby! Fossil in general has quite cool designs, however be careful with purchasing bags. They don't provide any cleaners and it is hard to get form them any recommendations. So basically after purchasing a new purse you are on your own.... read more
