I also worked with Randy; who went above and beyond to ensure that my husband and I had a wonderful experience! As a collector I always stop in to a boutique in my travels to add to my collection and this store was absolutely beautiful. I decided on a few pieces and had them shipped back home. I had to wait about 15ish minutes in order to be assisted- which was perfect so I could browse and look at all the beautiful pieces displayed around the store. I love LV and always get good service here. This year they redid their Takashi Murakami collaboration. They did it in three waves. The first wave was the multi color. The second wave was the cherry blossom. The third wave was the cerise. The Murakami collars are super popular and hard to get. Luckily, I was able to get a bag from the cerise collection. It was cherry decals on the monogram or cherries stitched on denim. I wanted a denim bag to go with my jeans. The bag goes perfectly with my cherry pocketbac holder and my Labubus. A long, long time ago I was told that aside from France, the Louis Vuitton store in Honolulu, Hawaii is among the cheapest to purchase Louis Vuitton in the world. From our limited travels, I would have to concur with that statement. This Louis Vuitton is located in Ala Moana Center by Center Stage near the escalators. You can't miss them as they are two stories and in the corner. There is always a good amount of Sales Associates to help show you any merchandise you're interested in. Customer service is consistently professional and friendly. From my personal experiences, everything I've looked at, I was able to purchase the items during the same visit. They offer embossing as well for those who want to add a personal touch to select Louis Vuitton items. Profiling is alive and well in this LV location. It would be best if you never judged a book by its cover. People work hard for their money and to assume that they can be treated as less than and still shop with you is delusional. In the market for a gift for me (cuz why the hell not?) I wanted to browse this larger location to see what items they had I'd like. Customer service was forced, and there was a struggle for the employees working that day. The door was opened for all other patrons but my husband and I. No biggie, we have working hands, we let ourselves in and didn't have to worry about being lonely because security made sure he walked three paces behind us. Pathetic that this still happens in this day and age. Only after several Client Advisors passed us did one decide to greet us and ask if we needed assistance. By this point, I've fully decided that I won't give the sale to the young lady who clinched her jaw at the thought of being assigned to us. Always the ray of sunshine, I told her what I wanted and inspected the items. I had previously purchased a Louis Vuitton fragrance a few days prior with the representatives at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki store (Kai and manager Juan) and knew I'd be better served there. I thanked her and quietly left. The next day, I walked in and was warmly greeted, seated, and catered to at the Waikiki store. A stark contrast to the snobbish behavior at Ala Moana. Businesses that don't value customers lose business and respect. Hopefully, management doesn't send me a pre-canned response pretending to be alarmed by the interaction. Well after having great highs with the outstanding experience and great customer service at one Louis Vuitton (LV) store (Hilton Hawaii) I managed to meet its pathetic twin at Ala Moana Centre. Yes the LV store in Ala Moana center is a place I would not recommend to anyone. Why you may ask? Well here is the story and I will get straight to the point. My wife and I decided to check out this store. We entered on the top level since this was a two story establishment. For many LV stores there is a person at the front door who will open the door for you. Oh yeah there was a person at the front door but I guess it was not in their statement of work to open the door. We walked past five employees with not a single acknowledgement. Finally we were asked if someone was helping us. Well kind of obvious since we were walking round with no employee near us the answer was no. I told him thank you for asking us as we have walked past five of the employees and he was the first to even speak to us. He apologized and asked one of the employees to assist us. Hold up now. The employee he asked was the third employee we passed who ignored us. Yes I was counting. My Yelp reviews are always accurate. If you did not want to help us before I am sure your view and wanting to help us has not changed. Oh since you were told to help us I guess you are forced to do your job in helping us. So we walked downstairs with our assigned employee and she did not look happy to be assisting us. Other customers had walked in at this time and amazingly they were greeted and receiving assistance. So all this time no one acknowledged us but oh was someone apparently paying attention to us. When we walked downstairs amazingly the security guard decided to stretch his legs and walked down to the lower level the same time we did and posted up. I wonder why? We had already made up our mind that we were going to leave as they had no interest in business from us. As we left of course no one opened the door for us or even said anything to us. The one thing that was consistent and what they did well in actively showing that we were not wanted in here. My wife and I are standing outside of the store. I see a female walking in and the door was opened for her. It just showed what we witnessed and what we experienced. Service for them but not for you. The actions performed and not performed by the employees said a great deal. Businesses like the color of money but there seemed to be more focus on another color in this establishment. In all actuality it is not deserving of one star. Hopefully my review can keep anyone from experiencing what we did in this place. Oh geeze...I got suckered into coming here. But I guess it's because um a sucker for my wife... I let my wife know she was allowed to get something here while we were on vacation. We walk to the mall...which turned out to be a MUCH further walk than she told me. But we walk in and are immediately greeted by a tep. Mind you, we were dressed down and I was carrying a backpack. First impressions can definitely influence how you are treated at higher end stores. The rep greeted us and asked if we were looking for anything specific. Of course, my wife knew what she wanted. The rep found it quickly and to her both her and my wife's delight they actually had two in stock (sucks for me). The rep grabs the one that was not on the shelf and let's my wife inspect it. Once approved, she wrapped it up and packaged it in some kind of Christmas bag. As previous customers, she looked her info up to tie the purchase, ran the card and closed the sale. The entire time, the tep was cordial and had a great social game going with my wife. She made us very comfortable and is the type of sales rep you would go back to if you were consistently in that store. I'll have to go look at the recipe some time and update the review with her name. All in, we were happy. My wife because she got what she wanted...and me since the wife was happy. Prior to coming to this Louis Vuitton at the Ala Moana location, checked out reviews as a familiar name was seen with numerous five star reviews "Tyler Goda" Upon entering this location, I already knew what I wanted and was met with the kindest interaction by a male who worked at this Louis Vuitton. I was already skeptical with coming in as I usually just buy it online, but after having the interaction and phenomenal customer service there is no doubt why Mr. Goda has many 5 star reviews. Asked what the ocasión was if there was any, made great conversation and personable conversation. Straight to the product which happened to be in stock, showed the product and answered all my questions. What better visit could I have. Card was declined due to fraud and and no point was there any judgment, instead Mr. Goda shared stories of his card getting declined in the funniest places. Above and beyond experience as he connects with his customers, came in due to wife giving birth and her birthday and throughout the whole ordeal, many congratulations and kindness. Due to this great experience I will actually find myself returning for more items and lie just online but in store. I was first exposed to Louis Vuitton (LV) in the mid-80's when I turned 16 years old, just before I was to start my senior year in high school. My sister gave it to me and to be frank, I didn't know the value of their wallets. It was a new luxury brand that didn't register in my brain. I recall using it and some classmates noticed it and commented "Wow, so fancy." Since then, I've had multiple wallets, keychains, a passport holder, and a checkbook cover. However, I then noticed imitations popping up and oversaturation where I lost interest. Fast forward 30+ years. I went to Japan earlier in February for personal travel and in the itinerary was to meet up with a former Japanese language college professor and a good friend. I decided to get both people LV wallets, so I made my way to their Ala Moana location and glanced at the various wallets for men. Cynthia was the sales associate who assisted me, and I really appreciated her patience in deciding which styles to get. She wrapped the wallets nicely and packed them with individual bags as she knew I was giving them away. I was debating whether to get a wallet for myself as it's been YEARS since I used a LV wallet. I put the idea on the back burner as I didn't know how much money I'd be spending on my 15-day vacation in Japan. On my trip, I gifted the 2 wallets and my previous college professor appeared to be shocked with his new LV wallet. He was instrumental in my Japanese language studies, which made me also study harder in other subjects. I never had the opportunity to thank him as he abruptly left the university to return to his alma mater to teach. When I got back from my trip, I received an email with the introduction of LV's Yayoi Kusama limited edition collection and fell in love with their men's wallet with Yayoi Kusama's famous pumpkins, which she clearly stated in an interview where "Pumpkins seem humorous with its form, have a warm feeling and a human-like quality and form." I tried to visit Yayoi Kusama Gallery when I was in Tokyo, but time didn't permit as I had many places bookmarked. I contacted Cynthia and she sent me a link for me to purchase the wallet as I can get a better rate than buying it online. LV stores in Hawaii offer their products at a discounted rate. I paid with my credit card and within a few days, I received an email as well as a text from Cynthia that my wallet arrived. I was so excited when I went to pick it up. The wallet exceeded my expectations and so satisfied with my purchase. I showed my wallet to my family, which got a lot of attention, especially my favorite nephew by default. While he was checking out my wallet, I asked if he wanted me to buy him one, where he became embarrassed and declined my offer. About a week later, I decided to have my wallet embossed so I went back to visit Cynthia and told her my total satisfaction of my wallet. I told her I was thinking of getting a wallet for the nephew and she advised me this limited edition produces a certain amount and is distributed worldwide for sale. At that time there were only 18 of my wallets left. At that time, I decided to take that plunge and ordered 2 wallets - one for favorite nephew by default and the other for favorite niece by default. I paid for both wallets and now I just had to wait. Again, within a few days I received an email and text from Cynthia advising my wallets arrived and ready for pick-up. I informed Cynthia I wanted to put something in the wallet before she is wrapping them up. After I put money in each wallet, Cynthia wrapped each wallet up and put them in these amazing shopping bags with polka dots where the pattern was also inside. I recently gave the wallets to the kiddos, and they were so shocked and happy with the wallets. It was priceless to see the smiles on their faces. I advised them that they also can have their wallets embossed complimentary where they can select up to 3 initials. It's been over 10 years since I last owned a LV wallet, and I am so happy to be reunited. I may have spent some pretty pennies purchasing 5 wallets in less than 2 months, but I am very satisfied LV customer, especially this Ala Moana store. She also went the extra mile to show me other variations which swayed me to get the red interior. The store is a decent size so don't expect it to be extravagant but the customer service and selection was as expected. I've been to many LV stores in CA, Las Vegas, Florida and now Honolulu. This store is one of the biggest one I've seen with varieties of items on display. The 2nd floor which included the men and cloting for both were great. I entered on the 1st floor which was bit smaller space but was crowded with customers and staffs and tailored for ladies's purses. I came up to 2nd floor for the men and I was surprised how large it was plus they had clothings for both men/woman and tags dispaly as well. Many many items were all on display and I took my time walking to each one. I was help by Erika which she patiently showed me all the items that I wanted to look at and compared. I was in there for almost an hour before purchasing an item for myself. She later followed up with an email a few days later when I came back home. That was the first for me but very appreciated. Ahh, the savings.. The little discount plus the lower tax are still better than none on the mainland. I'd say whatever you see online, you can get it there out the door in Honolulu which included the discount and the taxes (+/- a few dollars here and there) more like +$30 for my item. read more
