We had never been to Sea Cliff's Fosters Restaurant before, and I have to tell that it was simply fantastic. There are some delectable appetizers and courses at this little bistro. We had the roasted chicken and the cod special. try the lamb meatball appetizer, It's like a gyro without the pita. Wood-fired pizzas and dishes are available, and all of the cuisine is freshly prepared. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available. Additionally, there is a small bar. We would especially like to thank GM and Sous Chef Andrew for making our meal worthwhile. A must go to restaurant.

Really great dinner! Everything we had was absolutely delicious. Our favorites were the spaghetti squash, pan seared salmon special, scallops and bread pudding. Can't wait to go back and try other dishes!

My new favorite restaurant! Everything is made in house and it's absolutely delicious! The flavors in the dishes we got paired so well together. We ordered the fried chicken wings after learning that this restaurant has won best friend chicken on Long Island 2 years in a row! They live up to their name. It was indeed the best fried chicken I've had. The potato crisp salad was also very delicious and refreshing. Our martinis were amazing and made exactly as we requested. We had a wonderful server named James that was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us great recommendations. The food came out quickly and the service was amazing! We really enjoyed ourselves here and can't wait to come back for dinner!

Came here during LI Restaurant Week to take advantage of the $46 pre-fixe dinner. Hubby ordered Gnudi app, Linguine and shrimp entree and Bananas Foster dessert. I ordered mussels app, Chimichurri Bavette Steak entree and the bread pudding dessert. The steak had a $10 up charge. There was a Korean style rice cake dish that hubby "needed" to try and the chef was gracious enough to accommodate a half order for us. Simply put, I wasn't expecting much, just a nice dinner out during the week. We had an early-ish reservation so there were only a couple of tables occupied when we arrived but started to fill up when we left. We were sat at a two person table in the middle. Considering the restaurant was empty when we arrived, I would have appreciated a table elsewhere but it was fine. The table next to us was a little louder than I would have liked but that was towards the end of the dinner. Now the food...we started with the rice cakes. I didn't know what to expect as this was not an Asian restaurant yet here's this Korean style dish. It was definitely not the Korean dish it referred to but it had an Americanized flair. Rice cakes with a ground pork sauce that had a hint of spice. My husband said it reminded him of an Italian ragu. Oddly enough I actually enjoyed it. The rice cakes were cooked perfectly, I'm a sucker for rice cakes. The mussels were tasty and the bread dipped in the sauce was yummy. The steak could have had a little more salt and I wished there was more chimichurri sauce. The portion size was small even for $28 but I presume that is because of restaurant week. I enjoyed the flavor of the bread pudding but I'm used to bread pudding being a bit softer in texture. My spoon had to be given a little more pressure to cut through. So why 4 stars? I enjoyed my night out. All in all the food was good. A little tweak here and there. I would definitely go back for a night out with friends.

    Burnt burger bun

There was only 1 waitress for the whole restaurant. The bread was obviously stale. The salmon wasn't good at all. They also completely burnt my son's burger bun and then handed him a new one that wasn't toasted at all. My family couldn't even hear each other inside. They served us food at completely different times and made us wait forever! Super hot out and no ac? The only real positive thing was that the staff were pretty nice.

This is to be considered one of the best restaurants in Seacliff, beautiful, decor, and great service with an open kitchen. They have an extensive menu, something for everyone and obviously I believe it's the best fried chicken around , highly recommended.

Came here for fathers day and what a nice place. Food was very good. Only wish our son was better well behaved but that's not their fault. A really nice place and it made father's day great for us. Such a cute area too.

It's so dark it feels like the power went out and someone found a single tea candle in a drawer. Half the time I had no idea what I was eating. When you order a Caesar salad, you want to spear a little cheese and a crouton with your fork, but you can't even see them. Half the time I wasn't even sure the person across from me was my husband!:) Turn the lights up just a notch and this place would be perfect, because the food is absolutely worth it.

We started with the Kobe meatballs and they were the perfect opener--rich, flavorful, and absolutely worth ordering. The Caesar salad was fine (not bad, just not as memorable as the rest of the meal), but everything after that turned the corner in a big way. The pasta was outstanding--cooked perfectly and packed with flavor--and the pork chop was the star: huge, beautifully cooked, and the kind of entrée you're still talking about after you leave. Service was friendly and on top of things without hovering, and the decor gives you that cozy, classic tavern feel that works for a date night or a relaxed dinner with friends. I'll definitely be back.

Jeanine herself is so warm and accommodating and is such a sincere and kind person. On one visit when I was in a rush picking up dinner for my mom, she went above and beyond to quickly prepare the most perfectly tender chicken cutlet with vegetables in just minutes. On my most recent visit, I had the most delicious chicken parm with ziti I have ever had in my life. The ziti was not only perfectly cooked, but the sauce - wow! It was something out of this world. The best I've ever had. I can't even properly describe how incredible it was - you have to try it for yourself! While I was waiting, someone at the bar overheard my order and told me how amazing it was and said that I am going to love it! She was absolutely right. I've also had their brick oven pizza many times - they make it fresh right in front of you in minutes and it's absolutely delicious. I can't believe how quickly they prepare such phenomenal food across the board. The prices are incredibly reasonable for such high-quality, home-cooked style food. You can absolutely really taste the care and quality in everything they make. Jeanine's is the best - I highly recommend!

Cons: I've called this place 4 times in past couple of months for a pick-up order. First time was great and picked up the food and fell in love so much so that it would be a regular on a night that I'd pick up rather than cook. Second time I called and was told to hold on and I literally timed it. After 10 minutes, no one picked up but could hear all the chatter from the bar patrons. Third time I called it was probably picked up by a bar patrons that sounded like he really enjoyed his liquids. Needless to say, he placed me down on bar and after what seemed like a few minutes, I was hung up on. The last and final time I attempted to call for pickup, no one ever picked up the phone. Final result: I believe if you plan on going up there and dealing with the wait, then the food is worth it. As for me being a regular customer, they've lost my business. If they had a working website or some other way of ordering, I may try them again. Otherwise, I won't go there unless I plan to sit and eat there or indulge at the bar: The potential for a great business is there, but maybe they only want to remain as a bar to their regulars.

I ordered the Mussels appetizer, which was excellent, as was the calamari. We also ordered the three dip trio of Tzatziki, Hummus and Spicy Feta. All needed more flavor. I've made Spicy Feta and it's packed with lemon and garlic. The Tatziki was very light on garlic. Same with the Lemon Chicken, not very lemony. Hubby got the Lobster pasta. He said the pasta sauce was very good but some of the lobster was overcooked. The biggest disappointment was the Baklava Sundae. The baklava didn't have that signature crispiness Baklava should have. I did taste my husband's Basque Cheesecake, which was excellent. I also tasted the Olive Cake. I was having dessert envy. Lovely ambience, especially on a warm Summer's night. Service was OK, not amazing but our waiter tried his best. I would absolutely come back and I know what to order. :)

We were seated under the outdoor tent which gave us a great view of the marina and the sunset. There are also tables right long the railing to the marina, which looked nice as well. Additionally there is a lounge area which we explored after we ate. You could tell it was the place to be on a Friday night. Cozy couches, lovely bar, and a DJ. Inside there is plenty of additional seating which explains why this place operates year round. For drinks we both had the peach smash which was delicious and hit the spot. For food we both ordered the grilled branzino filet which was perfectly cooked. It came with delicious broccolini and lemon potatoes. The service was a bit hit or miss. We weren't sure what food we wanted right away so our waiter left us for about 30 minutes. Asking for the check was another 20 minutes. Staff is very nice but also being pulled in different directions. I had to knock off a star as the parking is valet only. It's free but a tip is always nice and we wish we had known about it in advance.
