My fiancé and I came in on a Friday night and ordered the Twisted Roni and La Bianca -- both were absolutely delicious! Josie recently opened this new location after crushing the wood fire pizza game for years with her pizza truck. The new spot is warm and rustic inside -- the perfect place to enjoy great pizza and good company. Josie and her staff were so kind, warm, and welcoming -- you can tell how much pride and love go into both the food and the pizza-making experience. Josie's is a Sicilian style pizzeria. We went on a cool, rainy evening and were the only ones there. The interiors were very clean and modern. Loved all the pictures on the walls, very nice touch. The ladies behind the counter were very friendly. They have a good selection of pizza and pasta. We ended up ordering the vodka sauce pizza. I am so thrilled that I found this freshly made wood-fired pizza spot in the area!!! My son rates the pizza the BEST in the nation! He says:"Mama, I would like to say it is the best in the world! Then there is Roma's pizza. But seriously, the cheese texture and flavor is substantial! The crust is so crunchy! The dough is perfectly thin that holds all ingredients very well. I don't usually like basil but Josie's gives a very subtle kick. I don't mind it at all. The only thing I would say is less than perfect is the cheese distribution. I prefer the way that s done in Roma. Mama, I give it 5 out 5 definitely!" as a very well-traveled boy, this means a lot My son and I regularly have these mama-son food/eating dates. Today happens to be his 11.5 yrs old birthday. So I would like to get something he loves. Margarita pizza or St. Rocco or sashimi? I searched on Yelp in the area and Josie's caught my eyes with all red shining stars. I texted Josie right way and she responded me in no time with honesty ( because the prices on Yelp menu is different from her other social media ones) and sincerity. Impressive! I know my guts feeling has never done me wrong. Josie is extremely accommodating. She made a special arrangement for me to pickup at 3:45pm instead of waiting for 4pm since that is her opening hours. My son was SO surprised that his eyes tripled seeing me got into the car with a personal Margarita pizza in hand! That s priceless! I knew I had to try Josie's Pizza Bar after seeing pictures online. We had trouble choosing, but landed on 'The Little Piggy' because we love a good cupped pepperoni, which the owner let us know she gets all the way from Boston. We could smell the fresh oregano on the way home which got us eager to chow down. The pepperoni had a good level of heat and the dough was fluffy with pleasant bitter notes from being wood fired. The owner let us know the first page of the pizza menu on the truck are permanent staples (Marg-a-rita, The Boozy, The Little Piggy, and The Honey Bomb). The second page of the pizza menu rotates every two weeks. I personally love when businesses rotate their menu as it allows them to flex their creativity and gives me a reason to come back to try something new. I placed my order and they said it would be ready in 15 min . Very cute food truck located by Garvie's point waterfront . They also have some sandwiches,salads and desserts I can't wait to try. Not a fan of the Calzone I had. Really burnt - I'm surprised they handed to me like that. The crust I can tell would taste good if it wasn't charred, the cheese was a lot - basically a soupy mess inside, the dipping sauce they give you on the side was really good. Ended up paying $30 for everything including the tip, $3 for white truffle oil and $2 for a water - and only finished less than half. An incredible experience! We were in Long Island chasing fall colors and wanted to eat just a little before returning home. Most waterfront spots had closed after summer. The few that were open offered just music and booze. Then we found Josie''s pizza bar thanks to all the satisfied customers who wrote raving reviews. Everything said in the reviews matched up! The pizzas were yummy, the tomatoes tasted like they were just picked. Most of all, they did not scrounge on the cheese and basil toppings. The service was incredible. The most amazing pizza truck on Long Island! This is my absolute favorite place that has wood fired pizzas and a rotating menu. We tried a couple of new pizzas this time and my new favorite has become the Gracefully Shroomed! If you like truffles, you NEED to try this. It is sooo delicious, full of flavor, and the ricotta is insane on the pizza! The Boozy was also incredible if you want more of a simpler pizza. The Little Piggy is one we tried already and is always a hit! We always get some of their fresh cannolis for dessert! Don't forget to grab some! But Josie is a Quality Ingredient Mixology Artisan! Talk about subtle delicate blending for Pizza you don't get anywhere in the USA. But if you've spent time in Italy, that doesn't use any Genetically Modified fresh produce, Josie is the only place in my life I've experienced that this side of the Atlantic. So if you have a discerning palate that appreciates how it was done 100 years ago..... Don't fly to Italy. Visit this young lady instead! She brings all the real ingredients here (Imported from Italy) for you and makes it in a wood burning oven. Absolutely love the pizza here. It is wood fired pizza so the crust is flavorful yet so fluffy. The ingredients taste fresh and are well paired on each pizza. I love the gracefully shroomed and little piggy are my two favorites. The shroom pizza was on their special menu so it may not be there all the time but keep a look out! The workers on the truck are also super polite and chill. They recently have been setting up outside seating right by there truck. This pizza truck is a must! I have been going here since the past winter. It is amazing. From the first day I couldn't believe how good each pizza was. But every time I go it literally gets even better and better. I love the texture of the dough. I tried special Gracefully Shroomed this time and it is out of this world. Went to Garvies today I saw someone post about this food truck so thought I would give it a try. Employees very nice. I tried the pesto, ricotta, mozzarella pie. Lots of good olive oil. Smelled delicious. Fresh ingredients and a hefty amount of them. Not a long wait time. The sides of the crust are thick yet nice and chewy. I will try it again..anxious to try their tomato (pizza) sauce. The menu items all look very good and well put together. They take fresh to another level. read more

I am not a food truck type person, and if you feel the same way, I urge you to give Josie's pizza a try. All the ingredients are fresh and organic to make the pizza which is baked to perfection. I've been going there almost every week or so since Josie's opened and have never been disappointed. The service and the food are impeccable. I've gone to other brick oven establishments in the area and their pizzas are very good, but not as good as Josie's. I look forward to seeing the new menu come out.
