This is a great place to get tires, guidance, and good old "just fix it" without the fuzz and glitz. Got my tires there for a BMW 330 CI 2004 that were very reasonable compared to other tire place including CostCo. They gave me free tire rotation even though I did not get all my tires there. Went in this morning because I ran over a bottle a few days ago and now my tire pressure indicator light has come on.. The guys at Foster tire company didn't just take my word, they performed a series of inspections to determine what problem my tire had. After his thorough inspection Sam determined it was nothing more than low air pressure. He also checked the other 3 tires, made sure they were properly inflated and sent me on my way... Excellent customer service, very reasonable prices on tires and oil changes. I had to leave the vehicle overnight but they have a very secure area to hold your car. I needed new tires and ordered some from Tire Rack. Foster is one of their high rated tire installers and they were reasonably close to me so I chose them as the installers. When the tires were delivered on a Tuesday afternoon, I called to make an appointment. I couldn't do it on Wednesday so we agreed on 9 am Thursday morning. I got there a little early, but Julio checked me in and work started promptly at 9 am. I also wanted an alignment, which was done right after the new tires were on the car. Julio explained to me that even though the alignment figures were "within spec" they could be made better, which he did. The shop was very busy (I now know why!) but I was very pleased with the service, the price was very fair, and I will be back when I need tires. read more

I just got back from having another flat repaired, and decided to add my endorsement to Foster Tire. I have been buying tires from them since 1980. I have never found a significantly better price, even after looking into online suppliers, and I have always been pleased with the tires and the people. They have also replaced some shocks for me from time to time. They did me a favor a few years ago when they worked with me, and cut me a deal on exchanging some tires I mistakenly ordered; it was strictly my fault. So I'll start by saying this is my second time here. First time they were helpful that's why I went a second time but I don't know what happen with customer service since the first time bc the second time sucked. I went in on a Saturday and spoke with the guy at the front. Told him I needed two front tires n replacement for all 4 tire sensors and program then. He gave me a price I said let's do it. He gave me an appointment for Thursday at 9am. I show up Thursday at 845, not only is the guy not there but the one who was there said I had to wait 2 hours so they can help me out since they just got 4 cars that showed up and they also couldn't program the sensors. What's the point of an appointment if they're not gonna live up to their word?! They could've at least said that they'll take my car next or done something about it. But they were just like whatever about it. Not even an apology. read more

After a few consultations at other tire shops claiming they couldn't repair my new tire and is have to buy a new one....I called Julio at Fosters who shared with me that it's a common practice to not repair and have a costly tire replaced. He offered to take a look at it and said he believed he could repair my tire. If he couldn't the cost to replace was $50 less than the others. I walked out spending $17 vs $200. I read a lot of good stuff about foster so I thought to give them my business today, I approached to Julio regarding alignment he suggested I can come after an hour or I can wait, so I chose to wait and finally after 35 min he decided to pull my car in. So far so good he did the alignment and ask me to pay bam bam, after I paid he showed me the report and told me I need new camber holy great mother I need camber and u r telling me after getting money from me? He could have told me that I need cambers when he ran the check, so I asked if I make my mechanic put the camber and u realigned the tires, he directly jumped it will be $50 more, I elaborated every alignment shop gives warranty for certain period for alignment and he lied on my face that they don't give warranty on alignment yea right like he didn't give the warranty to the women ahead of me for alignment? Later he mentioned if I can bring the camber he will put it on for me for $40 CASH uh huh sure I am coming back to u after u ripped me off. Well over all I won't recommend these guys but in case u don't hav choice and u r doing alignment make sure u check the result of alignment before u hand these folks your credit card. read more

Called them late in the day because I had a tire that would not hold air. The gentleman who answered the phone was courteous and explained that they closed at 5, but come on in. In less than 45 minutes, they repaired my tire, kept me informed as to what was going on and I was out of there spending less than $20. I would definitely recommend them! They also did the alignment on my car when Costco sold me & installed the tires, but does not do alignments. I will know better next time! read more

Finally found a honest wonderful mechanic. Tried them out because I bought a Groupon (3 oil changes, 2 tire rotations, check engine light diagnostic type deal). I really thought it was too good to be true. I went in thinking "i'm going to at least make my money back, so oil change, tire rotation, & check engine light diagnostic!" That way if i didn't like them I would never have to go back. They had my oil change and and tire rotation done in no time. They asked if I wanted to fix the problem causing the engine light to be on, I told them I'd be back. I went up to pay and the said ok your bill is 585. I asked WHAT? He said 5.85 for the oil disposal fee. I laughed and handed him my card. Sometimes Groupon's have hidden fee's which I was expecting, but this was completely honest and stated on the Groupon. Based on how I was treated and felt, I asked how much the repair would be, they quoted me 200$. I said fine and left my car overnight. I waited to get picked up on there benches (the owner came out and gave me a protein bar to hold me over - so sweet!). They called me the next day to tell me my car was fixed and ready! I show up to pay(also a little skeptical). Ask them how much? They tell me $185!!!! I was like what? it was less than you quoted me?! What kind of car mechanic are you people? haha! Foster Tire provides excellent work at a fair price. The labor rate is reasonable, as is the price for parts (about the same as what I myself could buy directly). What has impressed me most, however, is that Julio will ask you to come into the shop to SHOW you an additional problem he's found rather than simply tell you and ask for more money. Had struts and strut arms replaced on my vehicle followed by a four wheel alignment. I thought the struts were bad but, Julio also noted that the strut arm bushings typically fail on my model with age. He did a few tests that confirmed his conjecture. I looked at the parts removed, the front struts were bad, the back struts were marginal and the bushings in both strut arms were shot. Good catch on the strut arms. Good job and the price was reasonable. The car rides better now. read more

Have bought all my tires there since I moved to Cali more than 15 years ago. Julio is great, period! Was run off the road last week and ruined a tire. New tire was $157 but Julio recommended a used tire. After a brief search he found a used tire identical to the tires on my car for $30 installed and out the door. They also offer free rotations for the life of the tires and alignments are very inexpensive. When I asked about replacement struts they quoted me 2 prices (one for OEM and one for generic struts) then told me my tires were wearing perfectly and told me struts weren't an issue related to tire wear. A friend of mine just got tires there also based on my recommendation. He checked numerous places and found them to be the cheapest by quite a bit. I always come here to get my oil changed. Julio is super friendly & attentive and gets my car all done within in 1/2 an hour. They also have great prices. Yesterday I read the reviews on Foster Tires so I went to their website and requested a quote for 4 newMichelin tires (filling out their form on Make/model/year of vehicle). I received a email that said I would get a quote within the next 24 hour. So far, no quote but the 24 hours hasn't expired yet. I decided to go in to Foster Tires today and get new tires (without receiving the quote) . The guy at the counter was talking to another guy at the counter (in Spanish). I am not fluent in Spanish, but it really seemed like they were just gabbing. After waiting approximately 10 minutes, I finally asked if there was anyone else that could help me. The guy sharply replied that he was helping a customer. I said I just wondered if there was anyone else that could help me and the guy said when he was finished. He appeared annoyed that I asked for help. I said I would be back. On my way at the door, I decided to take my business elsewhere. I felt that there customer service was very poor. I took my business to Ocean Tires instead and received prompt and courteous service. read more
