I love Fosters Freeze soft serve, so I'm automatically a happier person when I walk in. This one is in a gas station convenience store. Every time I drive back from Arizona, I have to stop here. Regardless of whether I need gas or not. Nothing is better than a little soft serve to keep you happy on the road. It was a one man show this time! One guy was grilling burgers, serving ice cream and ringing people up. He was so busy and still very courteous thanking customers for waiting. The wait was only about 5 mins. Stopped by to take a break during my trip and decided to try their Charbroiled Chicken Sandwich combo. The sandwich was amazingly juicy, fries were the best I ever had, and a soda was included. Takes about 10 minutes after you place the order, but well worth the wait. Place is decent and sort of a flashback to 80s back to the future setting. read more

Giving a 3 star for the Foster's Freeze. Got twisters on a late night drive to the Phoenix area. The parking area was very dirty and had a sketchy vibe. The Foster's Freeze was inside of the gas station mart, which was also kind of dirty inside. It was late at night, so they were out of half the flavors and all the flavors I wanted to try. :( The twisters were very good and smooth. They didn't have spoons with long enough handles to eat the twisters - had to pop off the top half way through to get the spoon down in the cup. Foster's Freeze at Chiriaco Summit is the worst. If you need gas at this point, you're pretty well stuck to this Chevron, and inside it is the Foster's. The store is cluttered and dirty. The bathrooms are dirty. The Foster's drive through is blocked off, and seems that it always has been. There is always a ginormous line to get anything...food or ice cream. The staff is rude and doesn't care to be there. They are always seemingly understaffed. Understaffed like their food is undercooked. Undercooked, greasy, and slapped together into a [moderately] hot mess. If you can, make your stops in Blythe or Lovekin. Thia place will make you frustrated. I haven't tried the coffee place across the way, so I can't speak to that, but this Foster's is terrible (gas station aside). read more

You're likely to get the runs after their raw meat touching hands prepares your food without changing gloves.......literally just left there. Only put one star on here so I can leave a review. 0 stars is what is deserved. First they make one of my orders wrong. Then the girl checks my burger with her dirty gloves she used to touch the raw bacon with and said ok yours is fine. And I'm like now it's not. You touched it after touching raw meat. Please make the entire order over. As she and other guy was preparing to remake my Order, I am watching them. DISGUSTING ALL AROUND! They both touched raw meat with their gloves and continued preparing other people's food. Touching the bread, touching the cooked meat and toasted bread, veggies all with the same gloves that literally touched raw beef and uncooked bacon. It wasn't like they used tongs. They literally hand dugs their fingers to separate and place the bacon on the fryer. And touched the raw beef patty with hands to put on converter belt. Walked over to the cooked and prepping side with the same gloves. Like it's normal for them. I'm sure this might happen at some other places behind closed doors. But believe me you, if I see that shit, I'm saying something. Fosters Freeze are nostalgic. I'm used to waiting for my food and that's ok because I know it will be fresh. Well not at this place. My husband's burger was cold and precooked. My grilled chicken sandwich was mildly warm with barely any spread on it. My sons sandwich was the same. The only thing that was fresh and hot were the fries! I'm in love with Fosters Freeze, I'm from AZ and unfortunately far from it... the only time I can get it is when I drive over to my sisters house. I get the m&m twister and it's great, but they need to blend it a little bit better. Also working at a restaurant myself, I suggest smiling and not seeming like they want to kill themselves. I stop in occasionally driving to or from Arizona on I-10. Tonight I stopped in and ordered a meal with a big chocolate banana malt for dessert. The girl at the counter took the initiative to ask whether I wanted the malt after the meal! What a great idea! She paid attention even as she attended to a run of hungry travelers, and as I finished my burger and fries, she made eye contact from across the store as to ask if I was ready for the malt (which I was and I enjoyed as I continued on I-10).
