So excited about there being an espresso bar at Chiriaco Summit now! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute little set up inside the cafe with friendly and fast service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My new stop when on the road.

I have come here for decades as this was the only place to stop between OC & Phoenix. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I've seen this place grow, they've added a lot of amenities; outdoor patio, more tables, shade structures, some form of housing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only thing that has not improved is the food.. Maybe I was Yong & hungry in the past but now I've been here knowing what good food is, unfortunately the food here is marginal at best, the service is slow & [[HIGHLIGHT]]the bathrooms are the same, not upgraded or more accommodating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The outside patio is very nice, plenty of shade & you can enjoy the breeze during spring.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Today; we had the French dip & burger with fries. The French dip was weak & small, the fries were lukewarm, the Burger was a Burger, kinda hard to mess up.

Great spot for a decent quick bite, restroom break, and to fuel up. The staff was friendly, and the food came out fast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is clean, spacious, and well-maintained.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Perfect for a convenient stop on the go.

Quick pit stop and it did exactly what we needed it to do. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Super convenient right after filling up on gas, and the place was clean--including the restrooms.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were seated right away and service was quick. Food-wise, it was a bit of a mix. The biscuits and gravy weren't our favorite, but the pancakes were actually really good and definitely the highlight. Overall, a solid, easy stop when you're on the road. Would come back for the convenience and quick service alone.

Sat out a rainstorm here. Soup, liver and onions, tuna melt with fries, coffee, and herbal tea. Food was good, especially the three beans and ham soup. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Mellow relaxed family vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Good service until the food arrived but then the server only came by once and did not even take the used plates. Had to get my own menu to check the desserts. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Men's restroom has only one stall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Slow Wi-Fi[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a fun little restaurant gift shop on the way to camping or Vegas.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff are sweet and welcoming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The prices are a little higher then expected but the food is really good and the place is very clean[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Great food! Tuna salad so good and fresh and large. Carne asada burritos good too. Pricey as is all places. $60 with tip.

This is more of a necessity stop, but the food is sufficient, but priced at a point based on the fact that it is the only option in the vicinity. FOOD: I had the salad and it was perfectly sufficient SERVICE/AMBIANCE: diner style restaurant with perfectly adequate service PRICE: quite pricey with salads in the $20 range and most entrées in that range as well PARKING: easy enough in nearby street parking

This is my second time here in 2 days the food and service here is great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The area is a little bit busy, which has nothing to do with the business but sometimes it's nice to sit out there and watch all the motorcycles and people as you eat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The french fries were a little tough, but I let them sit a while before eating maybe that had something to do with it although my coworker said the same no big deal. Service is great, awesome stop. I would definitely be returning.

This business has been around for 91 years in the hinterlands on the highway ( now US10). That's crazy. Everything you need as a traveler, including a diner. Prices are supersized. Weirdly, the George Patton Museum is next door. We always stop here passing thru from Phoenix, or to Phoenix.

    Christine L.

Another great diner on your way to LA or Phoenix. Food is great. Breakfast all day. The service can be slow since there's 1 server handling the whole diner at times. On the way back we bought a whole apple pie for the family since we tried 1 slice on the way there. Homemade pies are $30 and if you use credit cards there's a 3% charge now.

184/2024 Well this was a nice stop on our way home from Blythe. Stopped for a cup of coffee to keep hubby awake! Not too friendly, i gathered due to close to closing time???? It had a gift shop inside and I purchased a ref magnet for !

Lettuce wrap cheese burger $13.95, I took one bite.

The wait staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing--my coffee and water were constantly refilled without even having to ask, which always makes a difference. I ordered the BLTA along with their German pancake. The BLTA was exactly what you want--crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, creamy avocado, all put together on toasted bread, and paired perfectly with seasoned fries. Now the standout: the German pancake. Just a heads up--it takes about 15-20 minutes to come out, but it's 100% worth the wait. It's served hot, puffed up, and finished with powdered sugar and lemon. Light, slightly crisp on the edges, and soft in the middle--really well done. Overall, great food, great service, and a relaxed vibe. Definitely a place I'd come back to

Friendly staff who make you feel like a regular, cozy country vibes, and comfort food that'll have you questioning whether you really need to hike after breakfast. I came here with my fiancé and stepdaughter, fully expecting a good meal. What I didn't expect was to be personally attacked by the size of the pancakes. These fluffy beauties arrived looking like they were auditioning to become spare tires for my car. They're huge... gloriously huge. Then came the chicken fried steak, blanketed in creamy country gravy with a mountain of crispy country potatoes on the side. If comfort food could give hugs, this plate would've wrapped us in a warm quilt and called us "hon." Parking out front can be a bit like finding a parking space at a Black Friday sale--possible, but don't count on it. Thankfully, there's extra parking in the back, complete with reserved spaces for country music stars. We didn't spot Dolly or Willie, but we left a spot open just in case. And let's not forget the view. Step outside and--boom!--you're greeted by the stunning desert landscape with Joshua Tree National Park practically waving hello. Not a bad backdrop while digesting a pancake the size of a hubcap. Bottom line? Great people, generous portions, delicious comfort food, and enough small-town charm to make you want to linger over one more cup of coffee. We'll definitely be back the next time we're moseying through this neck of the desert. Just maybe... we'll split the pancakes next time. (Who am I kidding? Probably not.)
