I enjoy their food, cocktails, and outdoor patio. Lately I've been a fan of their salads but I also love the lamb lollipops. I just wish we could get them with grilled or baked potatoes, though, because the mashed potatoes aren't dairy free so my husband can't eat them. Service is typically good until the end. We like their vegan chocolate mousse with berries* but we've noticed that if we order dessert the employees seem to forget we exist. We usually end up having to walk up to the bar or track them down to finally get our dessert and sometimes also the bill. *They advertise just mousse but we think it's way better with berries that are usually available thanks to their salad menu. What a hidden gem! This restaurant was located close to my hotel and I stopped in for dinner with my son. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating but on this hot day, we opted to sit indoors. In addition, they have a full bar and bar seating. I ordered and enjoyed- Turkey bacon avocado sandwich Red pesto turkey sandwich Spinach artichoke dip Cask & iron- one of the best old fashioned I've ever had! The food was very delicious and plentiful. My son and I couldn't finish our sandwiches and we ended up taking them to go. It may have been because we were enjoying the spinach artichoke dip that we ate too much before our entrees came out! The negative reviews are surprising! I come here to work at the Hotel McCoy next door. This trip, I've been in Pullman for almost two weeks now and am so happy that the Foundry is next door. The guests at the hotel love it and the staff love having dinner meetings there. Atmosphere: Foundry is my favorite kind of dinner spot - a little bit dark, cozy, comfy seating, a fireplace. It's a place for first dates and for anniversaries. You can be as casual or formal as you want. The menu isn't huge so you don't have to spend a lot of time on what to order, yet, you can get a burger and fries for $20 or have a more formal steak or lamb meal at close to $40. Or, you can go for the amazing drinks on a casual date and share charcuterie. What's not to love? Food: The fries are amazing. You know there's someone back there pushing whole potatoes through a dicer and frying them up fresh for you. And being from the Midwest, I love the "fry sauce" that no one has back home. The burgers are large and amazing. I love the attention the buns get - buttery and grilled to perfection. The rib dip sandwich is also great with the perfect meat-to-bread ratio. I have never been much of a dipper, but I have to say I saved the delicious au jus and used it in my hotel suite the next day for an amazing pasta/veggie stir-fry, I let the mixture simmer in the au jus with the lid on. The pasta took the flavor of the juice and it was so good! The chicken fettuccine looks amazing and creamy. A co-worker had the autumn salad which was big and plentiful. I have held staff meetings there as well as gone alone and I have not experienced service issues the way some of the reviews mention but I do work in hospitality and have a level of patience. I can't give Foundry less than five stars. My only suggestion is to provide an option for a paper sack for carry-out orders. I know there are bag laws here, but I'd be willing to pay for a sack to take my meals and condiments with me without a balancing act. Hubby and I stopped in for a cocktail and nosh on a cold January weekend afternoon. The fire pit on the outdoor patio was going with several customers having a beer and actually looked inviting. We opted for a warmer seat inside at the bar and listened to a great Beatles album as we chatted with the bartender. The craft cocktails were great and a good deal for the price. I had the Forge Margarita and Hubby went for the Moscow Mule. We had a hot spinach artichoke dip with toasted sourdough squares. The dip was good, with a nice roasted flavor. The atmosphere was nice and casual and the staff were friendly. This would be a great casual night out and was recommended by our hotel. A retried trip for sure. read more

Okay, such a great place that feels like a castle from the mid-evil time. Prompt and punctual service, can't be beat. I planned on grabbing a seat on the nice patio at Foundry, after finding it was a bit tricky as it's tucked away but worth the search. Walking in the ambience was warm and welcoming and the aroma of home cooking was fresh and inviting. I changed my mind and sat at the bar. The artichoke dip was next level. The wings were light colored AND crispy so the oil was clean and the chicken tasted fresh with well made solidly made buffalo sauce. A few parties moved inside due to a swarm of bees.....so there's that. They were also super busy and could've used another hand or two but the team that was working hustled! And got to everyone and every call and every drink. All in all well done. The best drink with the egg white was refreshing and sweet and dry. Will gladly return! read more

Cozy atmosphere with dark woods, warm and inviting. A bit hard to find as it is tucked into a weird spot at a strange angle. Anyway the service was good and the food was even better. This restaurant is good for a college town. The spinach artichoke dip was good but the clam chowder was thin and tasted heavily of dill. I went with the safe option of a Turkey sandwich but the Man said the burger tasted old, like it had been sitting under the lights. Our waitress was nice and the Biergarten outside looked lovely. I've been here before a few times but this time was honestly just awful. The service was poor and almost nonexistent. The servers appeared as if they were inconvenienced to do almost anything. The drinks tasted like simple syrup. The food was not impressive at all, the tortellini tasted like it was out of a bag and the salad was terrible. It tasted cheap and came with no dressing. The atmosphere was extremely weird and awkward for some reason. Not once did the server come over to check in and it took over 10 minutes to get their attention for a side of ranch. Unfortunately I have to write a 1 star review We were in Pullman visiting Washington State University. Initially based off Yelp we were excited for the this restaurant. Our experience on the customer service level was a just SAD. The hosts was not friendly, She was very unorganized from what we seen. I understand when restaurants are busy, but this time was slow based off not a lot of customers. Honestly huge disappointment. We didn't even get to try the food. Hands-down best margaritas I had in Pullman. This place also has a decent handcraft drink menu. Came here for lunch, sat at the bar. I was greeted by the bartender who knew how to make GOOD cocktails. She made me two excellent drinks. I had their signature margarita and their Moscow mule. I noticed they were offering a special Club Sandwich for lunch, so of course I had to stop in to order it! The sandwich was stacked with ham, turkey, bacon, havarti cheese, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on sourdough bread. It was massive! I could barely fit the sandwich in my mouth for a bite. It was absolutely delicious! All the flavors were wonderful together. And since it was so big, it was very, very filling! I took home half to eat later along with some fries. The fries... The fries were so amazing! They were thick and seasoned perfectly with salt. Thick fry perfection! Of course a dessert caught my eye on the menu, so I had to order a dessert as well despite being pretty full. I was so happy to find out their Seasonal Crisp on the menu was Apple. Apple Crisps are among my favorite! This Seasonal Apple Crisp was very tasty. The apples in this were dried apples. Personally, I could have had more apples than what were there, but the amount did not diminish how much I enjoyed the dish. The addition of the scoop of Ferdinand's Ice Cream was awesome. It is the perfect topping to a crisp. Plus, it is local! I cannot wait to go back to Foundry again soon! One of my favorites in Pullman for sure. Accessibility: Foundry is mostly accessible. There is no accessible parking here. The parking lot is gravel and on a slight incline. There are no steps to worry about here. The washrooms are accessible with grab bars and are gender neutral. The bar has only high chairs and tables (if I remember correctly). The rest of the restaurant has a mix of booths and tables and chairs. The chairs do not have arms. There is outside seating in nice weather with a fire pit. All those chairs do have arms. The lighting during the day is good. I am not certain at night. The noise level was not an issue during the lunch hour either. I will update later on nighttime conditions. read more

I was introduced to this cute little place in Pullman by my family. I had also never been to Pullman before so lots of firsts that day! I loved the warm and cozy feeling that the ambiance gave as I walked into the restaurant. The inside reminds me of a rustic cabin, especially because there is a place to hang your winter coats up, by the door. Not only did the ambiance make me feel warm and at home but the food was also so good and comforting! They have classic comfort food like soups, bread, and a local favorite, the chicken pot pie! I chose to have the special of the day, a pear salad that was made with candied pecans and goat cheese. My favorite kinds of salads have goat cheese and any kind of nuts For my drink, I paired my pear salad with what they call a "Pale Pear" cocktail. It was so good! The cocktail was basically champagne with pear and cinnamon flavor If I am ever back in Pullman to visit my sister, I will for sure go back to the Foundry! Not an experience we would recommend. Ribeye was grisly, tough and greasy. Caesar salad tasted like a grocery store bag of salad. Traditional drinks (like martini, cosmo and old fashioned) were not "original" recipes and not liked. Service was mediocre to poor. And 10% service charge added to table, + tip. read more

This place was AMAZING. My daughter and I were in town for a campus tour at WSU and got in late at night and were looking for something decent. We found that this restaurant was open until midnight. We stopped in, and were in casual clothing, but they said it didnt matter and welcomed us warmly. We ended up being one of two tables in the indoor dining area ( there were a few people in the bar area). We saw a very cool outdoor patio area and a cool fire going but we chose to sit inside. The menu was varied and the food was creative and interesting. We ended up choosing a meat and cheese plate, which WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD. Delicious meats, cheeses, crackers, and sauces. It was very plentiful, we couldn't finish it. We also had clam chowder which was unusual and some of the best we have ever had and we have had a lot of clam chowder being from the west coast. Our server was friendly and attentive. Prices were a little high for the area but the food was worth it. The atmosphere was really great. This is a lovely little spot with a cozy atmosphere and nice outdoor seating. The food and cocktails are top notch. But we had a particularly nice outing this December. We had a group of 8 and they called the morning of to confirm our reservation. We were given excellent, welcoming attention for our entire visit, from cocktails and appetizers to dessert! Came here for happy hour the other night. I find it a bit silly that HH is only offered 2-5 PM...it should at least go till 6. It was quiet and the staff were friendly and attentive. I had two cocktails - one with strawberry balsamic/gin and one with lime chile vodka/cucumber. They were fantastic! Not cheap by any means, but certainly well made. There's a discount on appetizers for HH. I ordered the cheese curds, cup of clam chowder, and the fries. One of the nicest restaurants in Pullman. We went there for lunch when dropping my daughter off at school and really enjoyed it. I got a pork chop dish for lunch that I would for sure get again.
