Great service, beautiful interior, and great food. We drove to Fount on a Sunday morning and easily found parking in the designated parking lot. The interior was clean, spacious and beautifully decorated with an open kitchen feel. We got a morning scramble, almond butter/blueberry/banana on toast, a cortado, and a chocolate zucchini muffin. The cortado was super strong and bitter but there was sugar and milk available next to the complimentary water. As the bread is gluten free, it was a bit more on the cracker texture but both our meals were delicious. The service was definitely 5 stars as everyone was super friendly and accommodating. The smoothie bowls looked delicious, especially the cacao bowl! I will definitely be back the next time I am in NC. read more

Such a clean and open space for working, co-working, or simply grabbing some healthy small plates, salads, and desserts. They also have a great line-up of coffees and teas. The entire menu is gluten-free and they have also labeled their dairy-free and vegetarian options very clearly! I got a roasted root vegetable salad and I loved it. It was so fresh and hearty, with the right notes of seasonings. However, my favorite was the coffee-cinnamon cake. It had a coco nutty flavor to it but, you could not tell it was gluten-free. I am guessing they have used coconut flour as an alternative. Their staffs were very friendly and welcoming. Only suggestion would be is to display the rates against the fresh pastries displayed at their counter. I would definitely go back here for a quick lunch or coffee. read more

I know this isn't the point - at all - of this beautiful space, but honestly, I've never met a cleaner, more welcoming public restroom before Fount. There are two drying options: the air drying method with the intensely strong winds for those who are more environmentally aware, and paper towels for those who just don't feel clean without the towel (but even this is environmentally conscious because the towels come out slowly and in small pieces!!) The bathrooms are also fully equipped with tampons, body lotion, mints, fake plants for aesthetics, and did I say tampons?! I mean, come on! Thank you to the owner for being so SO good to us ladies; we love you! That being said, I also love the coffee and atmosphere here. The "come as you are" wall is amazing as are the lights, lighting, garage door opening option, displays, and overall vibes of the place. My coffee snob fiance thoroughly enjoyed the pour over, and I liked both the iced latte and iced vanilla latte I tried so far. This is an absolutely darling coffee shop in RTP! I came early Saturday morning and it was a good crowd, but by 11am the place was packed. The counter is front and center of the room when you first walk in and the menus are on the counter. Prices are pretty comparable to most coffee shops these days. There are plenty of seats and the decor is very clean and bright. Writing this review because this place has some AUDACITY. They charge extra ($2.50) to add bacon to the smash avocado toast. I wanted bacon with my toast and happily paid the additional $2.50. When they brought the food, there's was probably 1/2 strip of bacon worth sprinkled on top of the toast. If you are gonna charge $2.50 for bacon, then give me an appropriate amount. What a pretty coffee shop! I went in on a Friday morning and it was slammed. They have certainly already become a hot spot! I love the toast menu and that they have so many options for tasty things to eat-- including wine and charcuterie in the evenings! For my drink I gave the chai a try, they don't make it in house, but they use a high end mix. It was quite tasty and really presented beautifully. I also snacked on the overnight oats and streusel muffin. Both were great and I would get them again. I sampled the toast with goat cheese and pears, it was awesome. The coffee shop for the cool kids (from the perspective of an aging millennial) Fount is a coffee shop that's located in the last place you'd expect a cool, trendy coffee shop to be located. The suburbs. With its stark minimalist decor of mostly black and white. This is a place that feels like it's plucked out of downtown Raleigh or Durham. It's a very similar vibe to something like Happy + Hale. Think lots of snake plants, and a very clean environment and cool looking baristas that look like they have a dope instagram account. I say this as a compliment. I don't know this side of The Triangle area that well, but by judging the surrounding places it does seem like an anomaly. From my experience Fount seems like a place built on quality and design. This is a shop that wants to serve you something tasty and healthy, but also something that's super instagramable. Sometimes this can be a double edged-sword since taste sometimes takes a backseat to aesthetics. Lucky Fount defies this and offers up a very tasty menu that also looks good on a plate for all those sweet gram pics. Upon my recent visit I had the Paradise smoothie bowl (pitaya, mango, banana, maca root, coconut milk) and the Banana Nut Butter stack (almond butter, banana, blueberry chia compote, sea salt). Both were very tasty and the price seemed on par with what you expect for something along those lines in this area. My wife got the Cilantro Lime salad (mixed greens, avocado, tomato, red pepper, black beans, cilantro-lime dressing) with chicken added on. She loved it, and it was a very hearty portion for the price. The only problem you might run into with Fount is looking for a place to sit. When we went there were people on laptops everywhere and only a couple free spaces to be had. Then again this does seem like a spot where students will camp out and do work. It's something to be aware of if you're going with a larger group though. They've got a great vibe going here and if you're looking for trendy, fun places outside of the typical Raleigh/Durham coffee shops Fount is worth checking out. read more

I came here for lunch with a friend as a break from a conference that was hosted nearby. I have driven by this place several times and always wanted to stop in. Overall, it was really good! Both of us got the cilantro chili lime salad with grilled chicken. The salad was beautifully presented and very very fresh. After the salad I also ordered a peanut butter chocolate brownie and my friend got the coffee cake. Both items were good, although I would likely try a different dessert next time as neither were anything to write home about. Additionally, it was all a little but pricey for a medium size (albeit delicious) salad, a sparkling water, and brownie (close to 20 dollars). But, still glad I went and I would be interested in stopping back in for a coffee or breakfast item in the future! read more

This coffee shop ticked my boxes for a hipster, coffee shop with the cool white and grey interior. I could see my antisocial self-alone, with my coffee, my avocado toast, and laptop just sitting there for hours. I enjoyed the cold coffee on tap with milk and honey syrup. Third visit to Fount. Love this place. Everything is always delicious. Great lattes. Their cinnamon coffee cake is amazing, I dream of this coffee cake. Chicken skewers are so good and taste better mixed in the kale cauliflower salad. We also got an açaí bowl this time, which was yummy. The Deets: When I found out about a new coffee place in my hood (Morrisville), I could not wait to give them a try. I've gone to Fount a few times now and I really like these guys. Very open atmosphere, bright, and clean...it is very welcoming. There is also a huge garage door on one side that gives even more of an open feeling when warmer days allow it to be up exposing the outside seating area. When coming in to the counter to order, I have always been greeted with a smile and a positive demeanor. I like this a lot when ordering, and the staff is very helpful also. They have coffee, wine, craft beer, and small plates for eats. The coffee is wonderful from each of my visits (using Counter Culture coffee here). The eats are nice also, I've mainly had the Morning Scramble stack plate (scrambled egg, bacon, mozzarella, black cracked pepper) and it's a nice small meal that's pretty satisfying. Chris M. has tried the Avocado Smash and Banana Nut Butter stack plates while with me there with good results (I tried a bite of the banana nut butter one, yum). When they are busy, it can be a little bit of a wait as everything is made to order, but worth it. Amazing service is what really sets this place apart - all of the staff members plus owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Plus the bright interior and energetic vibe (it always gets packed/hard to find a spot)! Great variety of healthy food options- bowls, salads, toasts, other snack options, lots of drink options. All of the food is gluten free and delicious (IMO the bread they use for the toasts is a bit sour/not my favorite, but it is probably great for gluten free and is probably very healthy). The baked goods are amazing especially the coffee cake and the chocolate chip cookies. Good mix of people working remotely and meeting/chatting. Outdoor seating options as well. The bar seats and left wall seats have plugs and then there are a couple more plugs scattered elsewhere. The internet mostly works well enough to get work done but is not great to take calls (plus there will be a lot of background noise as it is always packed). Stopped in on a rainy Tuesday afternoon to check them out. The decor is very bare-bones with lots of wood and simple tables and chairs. One thing that is unique is a raised bleacher-type area with a lot of outlets. My mocha was tasty but lukewarm. I believe they serve Counter Culture coffee, which from a good Durham roaster. They also offer pastries, healthy bowls and some breakfast dishes. They seem to cater to the surrounding RTP office crowd. Stopped in for breakfast while visiting from California. Love the aesthetic, very modern/hipster. Social distancing enforced with spaced out tables, all workers in masks and guests in masks when not eating/drinking. We each got a different pour over (both very good) and two different scrambles. The avocado smash has basically an entire avocado smashed on it with lime nuts, tomato and a beautiful squeeze of citrus to brighten it up (highly recommend adding the fried egg). The egg scramble was a very generous portion of eggs and mix ins all on top of some hearty bread. HOORAY!!!! We finally have a local spot with great coffee and food in a super cool but comfortable venue. My husband and I shared the Avocado Smash with a fried egg, the Mushroom Spinach Stack and the Green Smoothie Bowl. I was skeptical of how good mushrooms and spinach on a piece of bread could be but it was very good! The Smoothie bowl was outstanding! Crunchy granola, strawberries & chia seeds on top of a blended base of spinach, parsley, banana, mango, avocado, and hemp milk. Loved every bite. I've passed by Fount countless times, and I've always wanted to stop it - so glad I finally did. I started off with a golden milk latte with oat milk and the Avocado Smash, both were absolutely phenomenal. I stuck around for about three hours this afternoon, and it was consistently busy the whole time - lucky for me, I was able to find a killer spot inside to do some work before a rush came in! They also offer outdoor seating. Took away one star for price - I've attached photos of my items, which were delicious, but definitely not the most filling. And it was about $17, including tip. Some people may say that's a steal, so I will leave that up to you! But I'll definitely be coming back here to get work done in the future and enjoy more baked goods. read more

I had the hit and run: a shot of espresso served with 12oz drip. Both were excellent. Food; Ordered the carrot muffin, after the cashier recommended he blueberry. Well, she brought out the blueberry. So she was not taking "no" for an answer. Either way, the muffin was delicious; so maybe she made the right choice for me. It's an all gluten free shop I believe; but I couldn't taste the difference. Ambiance: Layout identical to Intellegencia in Santa Monica; which I am sure was there first. I like the open space, the clear view of the pour overs. I was here last Sunday in August during lunch to catch up with a friend who suggested it because the menu is entirely gluten-free. I was pleasantly surprised from the moment I parked in front of the place. Service: This is an order at the counter and take your number to any available table kind of space. But the staff is friendly and prompt with their service! I do wish water brought to us instead of self-service or else the water stations were placed on both sides of the place and that the glasses were much bigger. Atmosphere: Such a hip and clean place. It has a free-flowing space to outdoor seating which for the day we went was amazing. A great place to bring your dog! Food: I ordered a mocha which came with some pretty latte art and was sweetened with honey (a little too much for my liking) and the cilantro lime salad which tasted fresh, healthy, and the cilantro-lime dressing was amazing! I do wish to see them expand their menu to include a larger entrée selection but I appreciate all the vegetarian options for myself and the gluten-free for my friend. read more

This is by far my favorite coffee place! They always have delicious coffees from top-shelf roasters, whether they be local or from out of state! My go-to is a pour-over Ethiopian natural coffee, and they always have that option available, which is why I always go back. They also have yummy food, with an off-menu it that supports multiple diets like paleo, and Whole30 (just ask). Additionally, their staff is always friendly, offering excellent customer service. There is another chain coffee place in the same area, and if you frequent that place, I'd recommend trying Fount Coffee for a much better coffee experience. read more
