I've had memberships to numerous gyms throughout my life ranging from In-Shape Fitness, Bally's…read moreGym, 24 Hour Fitness Supersport, Valley's Gym, and X-Factor Fitness. And I must say that this gym is one of the best gyms I've ever been to. Pros: -Very clean, well kept facility. -Staff are super friendly. -Newer resistance machines. -Top-of-the line cardio machines (treadmills have their own screen where you can watch tv, YouTube, etc) -Clean towels provided throughout the gym. -Locker rooms are clean, and no need to bring a lock because all of their lockers have digital locks installed!!! -Locker room also has large showers (soap and shampoo provided), there's also a steam and sauna room, about 4-5 toilet stalls, and 5 urinals. They also have hairdryers available as well. -First floor of the gym has all of the Cardio machines, a machine resistance area, and two free weight areas. -Indoor basketball court. -upstairs rooms range from yoga, dance, and hiit classes. There's also a small weight room upstairs (dumbbells, squat rack, and two treadmills). -They play upbeat music from XM-51 (my favorite satellite station). Cons: -No T-bar row machine.

**This gym is for Cisco employees and contractors only**…read more I have been to plenty of gyms up and down California, and I can honestly say that this gym is my absolute favorite. The gym in located in building Q and is for Cisco employees only. The gym charges $20 a month for unlimited entry, the fee can be automatically deducted from your paycheck. I believe they offer a lot of classes as well for a very inexpensive price, but I've never taken any They also offer private fitness lessons which I've never taken, but I've seen plenty of people take those lessons and the instructors definitely look like they know what they are doing. Pros: - The receptionists and staff are very friendly. They always greet you at the door, and the staff is always willing to help you with any questions you have about the gym or fitness. - The place is HUGE. Basketball court, around 100 cardio machines, plenty of weight machines and space for free weights, 2nd floor has plenty of rooms for classes. - Clean and spacious locker room. Plenty of lockers for everyone, clean showers, sauna, steam room. - Friendly gym-goers. No one "too cool for school" or looks at you awkwardly because you're doing curls with 15 lb weights and they're doing it with 30 lbs. Cons: - It gets very busy there in the mornings 7-8 and afternoons 5:30-7. You have to wait for treadmills and the free weight benches. - You can't please everybody with the music choice, but The Fray just doesn't do it for me when I'm jogging or benching. - Closed half of Saturday and the whole day Sunday Overall, this is a very nice gym for hardcore gym-goers and first time gym-goers and anything in between. Recommended for all Cisco employees looking for a gym.

And here's yet another five-star review for WESTCA…read more Like a lot of people, I spend far too much time sitting behind a computer. After a few meager attempts to get into an exercise routine, it became clear I would need to pay someone to kick my proverbial butt on a regular basis. I was excited to find a gym with such consistently great reviews nearby, and WESTCA absolutely lives up to the hype. I have a decent amount of experience with lifting and resistance training, but I also have some physical limitations, so the semi-private training format has been perfect for me. It provides the structure and accountability I was looking for while still meeting me where I am in terms of experience, fitness level, and physical capability. I've been training with Ivan, who consistently brings good vibes. His instructions are clear, he's quick to adapt exercises around physical limitations when needed, and he progresses training safely and thoughtfully with encouragement along the way. Progress has been steady, and I love feeling stronger and more energetic. As many other reviewers have mentioned, WESTCA is a smaller gym with a welcoming, low-pressure atmosphere. It's the kind of place that makes it easy to stay consistent. If you're looking for a gym, WESTCA is an easy recommendation.

I originally planned to train with Adam for just 3 months, but the amount of progress and muscle growth I saw in that short time was insane, so I decided to keep going. What makes Adam such a great trainer is how flexible and dedicated he is. I travel a lot and work a demanding software engineering job, but he's always willing to adjust schedules and make things work. You can tell he genuinely cares about his clients and loves what he does. Even on days we don't train, he still checks in, gives me pointers, and helps me stay on track. He also does a great job tailoring workouts to your specific needs and constantly adds different exercise variations to keep things effective, challenging, and fun. Every workout feels personalized instead of repetitive. The gym itself is amazing too -- it has every piece of equipment you could possibly need, plus all the little extras that make training better. Everything is always incredibly clean and spotless, which makes the environment even more motivating to be in. On top of all that, Adam keeps workouts fun and motivating. We always have great conversations, and over time he's become more than just a trainer, he's become a friend too. Highly recommend him to anyone looking to level up their fitness.

Wow! I should have read the reviews first about this place, but the reviews make sense. If I could…read moregive a zero I would. I joined City Sports Club on Brokaw because I was genuinely excited to get back into shape. Unfortunately, what should have been a positive experience quickly became frustrating, discouraging, and emotionally exhausting, thanks to Sam, Richard and Mari. From the beginning, nearly every interaction felt like a sales pitch. I signed up for a gym membership, the Pilates add-on, and personal training because I wanted professional guidance and support. During my training consultation, Richard, the Director of Training, promised nutritional guidance, including calories and macros, a workout plan for the days I was not meeting with a trainer, measurements, and an assessment. When I arrived for my first training appointment, Richard appeared unaware of why I was there. My trainer then asked me many of the same questions I had already discussed with him, which made it seem like there had been little communication. The workout lasted approximately 25 minutes, which had not been explained when I signed up. When I asked about the nutrition and workout plans I had been promised, I was told that the trainer did not know me or my form well enough to provide them and that I should do any exercises I already knew. This was incredibly discouraging because I had specifically signed up for personal training because I needed guidance. I left feeling deflated and devalued as a member. When I raised my concerns, I received conflicting explanations, little accountability, and repeated promises that someone would follow up. I had to explain the same emotional experience to multiple employees (a total of 5 times), yet calls were repeatedly not returned. The most disappointing response came when I was told that they "usually do not issue refunds because of an experience." This was not simply a change of mind. I joined with every intention of using the gym, but the services and guidance used to sell me personal training were not provided as represented. After the poor communication, unfulfilled promises, and dismissive handling of my concerns, I no longer felt comfortable returning. The only person who made me feel genuinely heard was Rod. He listened, apologized, and showed empathy when no one else had. I truly appreciated his kindness. I joined because I was motivated and excited to prioritize my health. Instead, I spent my first two weeks dealing with sales pitches, contradictory information, poor communication, unfulfilled promises, and repeatedly chasing people for answers. I am still waiting for a resolution and the full refund I requested. I am posting this in hopes of a resolution, as it seems every attempt I have already made comes with repeated excuses and promises of follow-ups that never occur. I am the one who has to do the follow-up. I am not asking for special treatment. I am asking City Sports Club to acknowledge how poorly this situation was handled, honor the full refund I requested, and allow me to move forward without continuing to chase employees for answers.

CorePower Yoga is a popular yoga studio with multiple locations. Lockers and shower areas available. Gift store is decent. There are many different yoga classes to choose from and each provides various exercising yoga forms and stretches to follow. Low mid high intensity workouts. Their program calendar looks amazing and fun. I came in for the one week trial free classes and was grateful for the opportunity to check it out. Great new year resolution with new body goals. I picked high intensity Yoga Sculpt. Full body yoga and cardio workout sweating bullets afterwards. It was a blast and an eye opening experience. It was much better than I had expected. This is hardcore work with high energy music. Yes, you're lifting weights with your arms & legs, as well as doing cardio stretches and more. Totally worth every inch of sweating. Instructor was high energy, motivated & dedicated. She cranked up the heater too/room was hot and good for sweatier results. Must love! People attending the classes are usually working middle class folks and locals. Mature audience. Co-ed/male & female students. Good sized class with 20-30 people desiring a great new year morning yoga workout. Feels very good so far. Yes, everyone is close to each other in space, but floor is marked and you'll definitely feel body heat during the workouts. Some people would want more spread out space especially if they feel too cramped together. Classes and membership fees are pricey, but I can see very good vibes and very good energy here. Natural lighting huge windows. I'll try more sessions into the week. If you like large classes and full body workouts, this can be fun!

There's easy parking on the street or in the garage next door. Since this studio is located by a ton of offices, expect full classes after work hours. I avoid coming to sculpt classes for this reason. You're packed in like sardines and people's sweat is dripping everywhere. I wish they would keep the classes a bit smaller. BUT I will continue to come every week for Shubha's C2 class. She is amazing and her sequences always keep me on my toes. She's very thoughtful during class - whether that be memorizing all of her students' names or being proactive in correcting form. Would highly recommend everyone interested in yoga to take her class.
