He advised me to get something else fixed as soon as I can, but told me it wasn't necessary to get me home to New Orleans. Sure, I could've done the repair myself, but where was I gonna find parts and tools out here? I would much rather pay Ron to take care of me in his town. I am so grateful for Ron getting me back on the road quickly. I highly recommend him!

Fast forward to today. My husband ran over something large and hard at 70 mph. Hit was so hard it popped the needle off of the speedometer in the dash. Managed to get it into see Joshua. Wasn't good news but he gave me 2 options. First was the minimum that needed to be done. Second was an additional item that really should be done. All said and done, more than I wanted to spend but I still feel he was very fair in his pricing. Been driving the van for a few days now and am very happy with the results. Plus, I have the peace of mind knowing I won't be chewing up my tires every few thousand miles. Just as a side note. I did research Cortez Car Care and discovered something amazing. They have been members of the BBB for 23 yrs this year and have not had one single complaint lodged against them in all that time. In any auto related field, especially repair/maintenance, that is a record to be very proud of. Just tells me that they are doing things right and have customer satisfaction very high on their priority list.

They had it for weeks before they called to tell us we needed a new/used engine & quoted $10,000 to put in a used motor with 161,000 miles on it. We obviously had to give that some thought & went to pay for the diagnostic & arrange to have it towed home. We asked the mechanic for some clarification & he said he "suspected" a blown head gasket or broken O ring. I asked what code had come up & he said he didn't remember. He then went out to try to run the obd while it was up on the wrecker, but the battery was dead. Our car has been sitting in our yard as we continue to pay the notes on it. However, I didn't trust the diagnosis Larsen's had given us. We finally had a "mobile mechanic" come by & check it. His obd clearly stated it's the turbo. That diagnosis confirmed the research I'd done at the beginning. Now imagine if we'd replaced the engine for $10,000 and it was all for nothing. Never trusting Larsen's again.

Although, her wait for tow was about 45 min which was understandable due to rush hour traffic. 2nd occasion my husband needed a tow from Seabrook a day later, I called and the dispatcher took my contact info and had the awesome tow truck driver to contact me.
