It was nice that they asked if we preferred 1st or 2nd floor. We asked for the 1st floor. Our room was clean and the place smelled nice. The room didn't have a pen and notepad, so we asked the housekeeper. We didn't get her name, but she was nice enough to lend us her personal pen. She was pleasantly surprised we returned it lol. The pillows were extremely comfy. We asked if we can have a late checkout and without any issues they allowed us to. The hotel would have received 5 stars, but the phone didn't work to call the front desk.

Pool/Spa Area - looking a little murky and needs cleaning/renovations

My Family and I stayed here for 2 nights on our trip to and from Lake Havasu, AZ from Northern California. We stayed on nights of Friday 12/22/23 and 12/29/23. 12/23/23 Stay: -Arrived at 9pm, no one came out to the front desk for ~5 minutes -Acknowledged as Platinum Elite Member, told the restaurant/bar was closed for renovations as are some of the rooms, so no upgraded rooms available -Offered bottle water from the refrigerator as there are none on the rooms (usual perks of Platinum Elite) -Room in 100 building near the gazebo/fountains was old and needed updating, dirty carpet. -Breakfast were strange egg bites, coffee, teas and orange juice, nothing else 12/29/23 Stay: -Arrive 3pm, 2 people at desk, greeting and started check-in quickly -Acknowledged as Platinum Elite Member, not told of any renovations and closure of the restaurant/bar, not offered water - Asked for a nicer room than the week before, given worse room, but a nice view of the old/dirty pool on second floor with no elevator and next to housekeeping closet. Bathroom had a couple cracked tiles and slow plumbing leak under the sink. -Breakfast consisted of bagels with cream cheese, coffee, teas, orange juice, oranges and apples. Overall, I can't complain much as I booked the rooms on points about 1.5 months prior which only cost 7,500 points each night (15,000 points total), if you stay at Marriott Properties frequently, you know that this is a bargain, but I guess you get what you pay for. This property looked like it was once really nice for conferences and weddings, hopefully after all the renovations, it will be at Marriott Four Points standards. I may look into staying here again in the future after they finish renovations and the restaurant/bar is back open, but I'm sure I wouldn't get the bargain that I did. -Current rooms/property: 2/5 stars -Staff: 4/5 stars -Restaurant/Bar: 0/5 stars, none currently -Breakfast: 2.5/5 stars, needs more selection -Pool/Spa: 1/5 stars, not sure if it's safe to go in -Front Desk/Lounge Area: 4/5 stars, nicely decorated for Christmas.

Dirty carpet everywhere, lukewarm coffee, breakfast not served on a Sunday ! The rooms are comfortable and look fairy cleaned (although no cups for water or coffee in sight) but as soon as we stepped inside the lobby it was clear that a bomb has exploded there or all the vacuums available have been out of use for a while. All the way to our room the carpet was filthy and not vacuumed in days. Dust, pieces of papers, tiny rocks and who knows what.5)3 entire hotel is like this. Went down to get a coffee at 8am in the lobby only to find out that it was barely warm. It is too bad that this hotel is not well managed and supervised. Also breakfast not served on a si day in an hotel? I will certainly go to the Hilton next time I am around here. Cleaner, hot coffee and breakfast served 7 days a week.

Four Points was clean and was satisfactory for the one night stay. There was coffee and for the room and room was very warm! The beds were nice and comfortable with good comforters. The bathroom was minimal. I would having the plumbing exposed for all to see wasn't a pleasant view. Would have rather had all that covered with some kind of paneling or something to keep out of view. I'd rather not see their plumbing work. As for the shower, there was good water pressure and nice hot water. However, the provided shampoo & conditioner was not filled, specifically the conditioner. One would have to pump the container over 20 times to get it to spatter enough to use (and I have short hair). I would think that should never happen. Only other issue I would have is not being dog friendly. With several individual builds making up the Four Points, there is not a reason to make at least one of the buildings dog friendly. That should've been an available situation. That would place all dogs in one building and dog owners traveling would be more than aware of. I can't defend those who still choose to sneak their dog in and stay in the rest of the complex. Those individuals are A$$ħáťş. Was it place to lay my head, yes. Was it clean? Yes.

Hotel is very old and going through renovations. Hallways are dusty with debris near fitness area and temperature was much too hot to exercise inside. key card in pool area didn't work. Uneven walkways outside are dangerous.

I am very disappointed with this hotel. Marriott Hotel has high standards, and this hotel was not by Marriott standards. The floor was absolutely disgusting. There was no way you could walk on it without shoes. The room had cockroaches alive and dead. Water damage in the bathroom and public hairs on the floor. Cigarette burns in the curtains. The staff was kind and very apologetic and said they didn't have another room. We arrived on a Thursday evening and checked out the following morning. This hotel was not sanitary, and I could not keep my family there another night. I was charged an extra night I called the hotel manager several times to try and get this straight and not a call back as of today. Bad customer service on management parts. But the front desk and staff were very kind.

I do not understand why this hotel receives such unfavorable reviews. I recently stayed here and thought everything was fine. The lobby is a little dated and definitely in need of a face lift. My room, however, was very nice, well appointed and spacious. I thought the grounds were also very nice and there is plenty of free parking. There is a restaurant on the grounds where you can purchase breakfast as well as dinner. Breakfast is not included in the price of the rooms here. There are, however, also numerous places to dine out within short driving distance.

My profile says high floor (I do this for safety) and was given a 1st floor room off a parking lot and the entrance had a broken security lock (any houseless person could walk in)! Screen doors hanging off, dying roach in bathroom, REALLY bad coffee, horrible breakfast, garbage left behind from previous guest (pic), 2 stars for some nice staff. Hey, its Bakersfield. Down to 1 star - added a pic of the live roach found today and no other hotels close by!! AGH!

    Dirty carpet

This place is disgusting. We came in here and the first thing that I saw was mold in the refrigerator. The carpet was nasty and the chair in the room had cigarette burns. The restroom was filthy, dirty. Do yourself a favor and do not book this hotel, because it smells like wet dog in the lobby. I should have known something was amiss when I smelled that. I gave it a chance. No!!! Don't do it.

First and foremost, I'd like to offer my sincere apologies for how long this took. I called last minute to get a room as my mother was a Bakersfield resident who had passed away that morning. Andrea and her staff were so welcoming and empathetic to the situation...I was absolutely blown away. Thank you so much for everything! The gift basket you left was the icing on the cake (I'm sure you noticed we ate it all) Thank you for everything, again. Especially for this happening over lockdown. My room was sanitized and me and my wife felt safe at your establishment

    Tv didn't work

Only thing good about this place is the pool because it's 8ft. They want you to call the front desk to gain entrance to the pool because people from that area go there to swim. The front desk brought 6 towels out once for 26 people that were swimming. The doors didn't work to enter the building. Ice machine was corroded & broken but because of the door issue I wasn't able to go another one because I'd lose access to the building. Make up stained bedding was on the beds upon arrival. The tv didn't have clear tv. I had to beat it like a 90's tv to get half a channel. Called and complained to the hotel but it's Bakersfield Ca and they don't give shit out there not even a reputable name like Four points! But even after this you still go don't forget your own fire stick, towel... and sheets.

We love the quiet location-- you don't hear any traffic. Staff is pleasant, the rooms are clean and nice, and the beds are comfortable.

As an adult I knew I wanted to have my wedding here. The lady who owns this place was very nice. She was accommodating and helpful. We were allowed to set everything up for the reception the day before because as luck would have nobody was renting it that day. The best thing about this place is that you can have both your ceremony and reception here. This really worked for us as we were on somewhat of a tight budget. There is a Roman style stage in the back which is lovely for a ceremony. The Hall itself can hold up to 215 people. We only had 120 and there was ample room. It is equipped with a kitchen and a bar. If you are getting married in Bakersfield I highly recommend checking this place out!

But they rent it out for parties etc. The owners are super nice, the bathrooms were spotless no weird smells lol. It's spacious but not a lot of parking or maybe just weird parking i didn't see what was on the other side of the building so possibly more there. Hard wood floors and neutral decor so that makes it easy to decorate whatever function you may be having there. It has a bar and i will say the drinks were good but the pours were watched like an eagle and were small. The wine list was small but decent i just had an issue with the prices for drinks and wine the portions were in my opinion too small. I also would've appreciated my wine to be served in wine glasses instead of a plastic small clear solo cup...The food was catered by Salty's and everything i tried was yummy except the salad. I do want to reiterate that the staff and owners who run the hall are gracious and always had smiles on their faces. If i or someone in my family were in need to rent something for an event i would definitely keep this place in mind and recommend them especially for budget minded people.
