    Nice modern new room!!
    Alice G.

This was an interesting hotel and even more interesting to get to using Uber at 1:30 in the morning. First of all, the hotel is located in an undeveloped part of town by a sketchy railroad crossing and while it is near the airport, is almost impossible to get to. Navigation systems fail and you end up doing massive amounts of U-turns with a frustrated Uber driver to try to find the one weird entrance to this bizarrely designed hotel park. Good luck. My Uber driver was supposed to cost $10 and it ended up costing 28 because of all our U-turns. Once you get there, it is a mixed bag! The room itself is one of the nicest I've stayed in this year. Sleek and modern with an enormous wall-mounted flatscreen TV, the room and the bathroom are well-designed and would be ones you'd want to have in your new home! So the room itself is five stars.... The only issue I had with my room was that the door locking mechanism and slamming sounds were intensely loud. When the neighbor came rolling in drunk at 1:30 AM the next night, it sounded like they were coming into my room making incredible loud noises. of course waking me up...So not the quietest design on the doors. Everything else is just weird. There is a bar/restaurant and room service that have limited hours and limited menu items depending on the mood of the staff. I was there on a Wednesday night and it was free pizza night! And that's kind of cool. The bar/restaurant air conditioning was not working and so it was hot as hell in the area. On top of that for some reason they did not turn on the lights in the bar/restaurant which is just weird. The food is hot and fine and will work for your travel situation but it is not a destination restaurant. Although the hotel has been open for two years, the front desk has severe problems checking people in and it was just a drama and a huge line to check in. Every time I went to the lobby this was the status. Weird. The clientele was oil field workers, young. Millennials and Gen z. This did not feel like a grown-up's hotel. Located about 3 miles from the airport, it cost me $25 to get a cab to the airport at five in the morning. All being in, I probably would not stay here again.

    Nasty pool

This was a terrible experience!! First they "accidentally charge my card $170 for incidentals. Then refuse to make it right. Told me it will get figured out at check out. Dirty grounds including the pool which was filthy. No room service even though they have a full restaurant. The built in shampoo conditioner and body wash in the shower is stocked with stuff that smells like men's cologne. Speaking of the shower, there is no pressure at all. If there trying to save water it didn't work. It took me twice as long. The bed was comfortable and the Tv is nice. That's about the only positive.

The bed skirt that was on the bed.

Nice looking hotel from the outside. Conveniently located by Cinergy and Woody's Hideaway for your entertainment and family outings. Has a bar and restaurant located inside the lobby. Rooms are very small, not very well kept. Our sheets were dirty, there was rust under the bathroom counter, a small table had not been wiped off in who knows how long. When we first walked into the room, it looked as though someone had already sat on the bed. We questioned if maybe someone had already been assigned the room. It's what gave you the questionable feeling of, "Should I sleep on this bed or not?" Not sure we will be returning.

The room is nice but wow super thin walls! I could hear the person in the room next to me breathing.

First stay here we got a non smoking room someone had smoked in and because they were sold out, they could not move us until the next day This is my third week stay here over the last two months. This time I found a broken cabinet door in my room and an iron that does not work. They fixed the cabinet door while I was at work, but I still have a very cold iron to iron my shirts. The restaurant is excellent and the food is great, albeit pricey. The bar is high dollar (surprise!), but the hours posted are not honored and I never can know when it I will find it open at all. They just closed the pool for the season and padlocked the gates so I can't even sit by the pool or enjoy the outdoor fire pit The little grass islands in the parking lot are heavily over watered everyday, so don't park next to any grass or get your car water spotted and be prepared to walk through rivers of water everyday in the parking lots . The beds and pillows are decent. The gym is well equipped with steppers, treadmills, free weights and weight machines. I do love the proximity to the Midland 250 Loop and the HEB for shopping for supplies! The best part of this hotel is definitely the friendly and caring staff. Thanks HGI Staff, you are appreciated!!

This is absolutely the worst Hilton I have ever stayed in. Room was very meh. Old furniture,…read morescratches, etc. It did seem clean though. The pillows were the WORST! Hotel pillows always suck, but these are even worse than usual. The TV didn't work, and I tried many times to call the front desk and they never answered. Just a really bad hotel. One good thing is that it is walking distance to the Texas Tailgater ballgame.

TLDR: Cute room, friendly staff…read more I went to bed late like at 11:30 PM, and after I slept for what I thought was seven hours I decided I should get up and go to breakfast. It was actually just after 1 AM. I didn't sleep at all apparently. And how could I with the loud nightclub next door. I made my way downstairs and I asked if I could switch to a different room. They said yes and they gave me a new room, which was actually on the same side of the hotel. So I went back down to the front desk again and this time they gave me a room that was on the opposite side of the hotel. So if you stay here, be sure to ask for a room on the residential side and not on the bar side. Unless you're into loud music pumping through your window while you're trying to sleep. Also, the blackout shades didn't really work and the light from the nightclub was also coming through the window. That's why I thought it was time to get up. Once I was able to fall asleep, which was after 2 AM, I slept OK. This had more to do with my state of mind and less to do with the room or the bed. The bed was comfortable, but I had a lot on my mind. I got up for breakfast at 7 AM and I was downstairs at 7:15 AM. They had eggs and the thinnest bacon I've ever seen in my life, and when I and another guest went to get pancakes we found that there was no batter in the machine. Also there was nothing in the frozen yogurt machine. The container for the oatmeal was full of boiling water which was spitting at me while I was trying to get oatmeal. It turns out the breakfast matron was distracted and that was because her tires were slashed the night before. Apparently a lot of people on her street got hit as well. Not a good start to the day for her. I wished her a better tomorrow. I would stay here again, but honestly I hope I never have to go to Midland again. More about my state of mind.

Additionally, there is a very loud bar next door to the hotel and the music comes through the walls loudly and clearly. We requested a change of rooms to the other side of the building but they said no because "they didn't have sufficient cleaning staff". They should warn people of this at check in.
