Our nanny has been to several swim schools and says this is the best he's seen and really likes it. Occasionally one of the babies will cry the whole lesson but mine has loved it! It's located in an old Aldi Supermarket. The water is 90 degrees and the building is completely warm. The dressing room has two changing rooms with a baby table, otherwise there is a large baby changing area in the open. The hard part is changing yourself after baby. I recommend to have a partner if you're bringing a baby, although only one can get in the water. There is a lot of viewing space. There are 5 lanes, each with a class going on. Classes are 30 min and can be once or twice a week. They also offer winter camps. You're allowed to make up a class if there's a reasonable reason they missed and that is all done through the portal. Overall, I highly recommend it!

This has turned into something our family looks forward to every Sunday. In our first session, our kiddos was not making gains on a skill. Through evaluations, it was decided she needed to take the level again. As an educator, it was comforting to know Foss does not push students through unless they are ready. We have now had Miss Mya for two sessions and couldn't love her more. Our daughter has become so comfortable with her. She will even jump in to Mya and leave me poolside. She is compassionate about her work and students. We have been so lucky to have her on our swim journey. If you are thinking about getting your kiddo lessons, do it. We love Foss!

We were greeted when we walked in by warm, friendly staff who explained everything to us. I cannot rave enough about the swim instructors with my daughter. She made them work on night 1! As a behavior analyst, I was impressed with their skills with balancing rapport building and following through to push her. She was "that one" that was loud and screaming and no one was visibly bothered. Also before going I was skeptical of how much can really be done in 30 minutes with a small group of 3/4 year olds. I was also impressed with how quickly they move between children's turns, sharing attention with each one, and keeping the pace moving!

I've watched videos of children smaller than her tossed into a pool and able to back float or swim to safety. I'm sure some of this will come in due time but for the cost, more aggressive teaching would make me happier. I do however appreciate the warmth of the water and that it's not chlorine. That reeks havoc on black children's hair.

The monthly fee is a great value at just a tad over a dollar a day! Senior citizens are allowed to have their Medicare/Insurance pay their fee. They have a very affordable childcare that is open early & closes in the evening. The swimming pool has many different classes for swimming, water exercises, etc... The maintenance crew performs an excellent job cleaning & the overall Y looks great, especially during & post-Covid. The gym equipment floor is expansive with plenty of options inc/ free weights, different exercise machines, many diff styles of cardio equipment, etc... The basketball floor is brand new & where they host many diff boys/girls rec leagues practices & games. They play pickleball on the courts, also. Walking track is on the 2nd floor above the gym. I'm encouraging everyone to join, become a donor to assist our fav biz in North County! Your donations can be used for childcare, events (Ex. They just hosted an indoor Halloween extravaganza for the kids this week). I don't know why the YMCA('s) Executives/Mgmt. doesn't broadcast all the services, benefits & community events?? The YMCA needs our assistance regarding donations, volunteerism, event participation & joining to improve OUR community and our family's health!! As a community, we should all look to join, participate & donate to this excellent, quality & affordable value. My wife & I have participated in the Christmas gift drive for a decade+.

He wasn't very confident in the water and had stopped making much progress. He was hesitant to even put his face under water for more than a couple seconds. A friend recommended that we try Swim Theory because her son had loved it. After just a couple of lessons at Swim Theory, I already started noticing a difference and by July he was swimming across the pool, retrieving rings off the bottom, and going down the slides at Alligator Creek. He is so much more confident! His primary instructor has been Coach Scout and she has been so patient, persistent, and encouraging in working with him and challenging him to grow. Scheduling has also been very convenient and staff have all been really friendly and helpful. I'm so glad we found this place!
