We checked into the Four Seasons NYC Downtown yesterday and have had an amazing experience. The room was clean and well furnished and we had a view of the WTC from the 15th floor. We had dinner at Cut last night with my son and his other graduate friends. Everyone loved their steaks which they said were the best they've had. Other standouts were the scallops and the cauliflower- amazing! But the best part of our trip was meeting Vash Mungur who anticipated our every need! He helped prepare us for everything we needed on graduation day in the 90 degree weather (no A/C at the graduation venue.) He made our stay so much more enjoyable and pleasant and was so solicitous- providing us with Gatorade drinks, a disposable camera and an adorable graduate plush toy! We will definitely be back to stay here! Thank you to Vash and your wonderful team. read more

Annie gave us a nice tour when we arrived, the pool looked amazing and peaceful. I asked her for a charger for my phone and she immediately took the one off the desk and handed it to me, thank you Annie! Really appreciated seeing her smiling face and she knew our names. The Waldorf A and Aman also addressed us by name in past visits. The bed was really comfortable, appreciated the his and hers closets in the corner room, was thrilled to have champagne and other treats waiting for us upon coming home each night. Always help with our car and doors. Clean. Loved the buttons in the room to call for laundry, and other service needs. Would have liked the Cut to be open for lounge eats and drinks for guests as we peeked in a couple times and it was always full. Plenty of assistance and privacy. Housekeeping was always touching up our room and it was appointed nicely. Thanks so much for the plentiful spring water daily as we requested before checking in. read more

In NYC for a friend's birthday weekend, I did not complain when she shared that we'd be staying at the Four Seasons... her treat! Three of us had two rooms... the birthday girl had her own room, rightly so, but they connected, which was awesome! During our three night stay, we enjoyed the comfortable beds, fabulous amenities, friendly staff (for the most part), and room service on several occasions. I did utilize the gym a couple of times, which was great. I will share that I do not recommend the spa here - it's nothing special and the prices are pretty insane... This is a splurge but if you can swing it (or have a friend that can), I highly recommend it! read more

They were so kind and upgraded us to the Liberty Suite as we were celebrating my 50th birthday. Sent up a beautiful cake and cookie with the show we were seeing Playbill. Such a nice touch. Whenever I, I always stay at the four seasons. The facilities are all very clean, the food is very good, service is some of the best you'll find, they're very organized, efficient, and timely. Worth the luxury price if you want a convenient and high-end experience. I would give this hotel 10 stars if I could! My wife and I decided to stay at this property for a short babymoon. Here are the things that make this hotel special and world class: Checkin: They were able to accommodate an early checkin for us since we only had a short time to explore NYC and our flight landed in the morning. As soon as we entered the property and gave them our name the entire staff knew about our babymoon celebration and made us feel very welcomed. It was quick and easy to get our room keys and they handed us some complementary beverages to take up to the room. We were personally escorted to the elevator by the front desk staff which was a nice touch of white glove service! Accommodation: our room was on the 22nd floor - the room itself was clean, modern, and had a great view of the city. After our dinner we found they had prepared a very special turndown service for us: a personalized congratulations card for our baby signed by their staff, along with chocolate covered strawberries and apple juice. We were extremely touched by this gesture, and will be lifelong customers with Four Seasons after this! Location: the location is very convenient, we are in close proximity to some of the biggest attractions in NYC I.e. Central Park, World Trade Center. Staff: this is a world class staff that cares about guests in a way that very few hotels do. They go above and beyond for in their jobs and make your stay feel special and worth every penny. Cost: the rates are definitely on the high end, but you get what you paid for! We stayed here three nights on our vacation. This is a fairly new property and it's located downtown right by the World Trade Center. The views are beautiful and the immediate neighborhood is clean, safe and provides a great variety of dining and shopping options. We loved our 11th floor room with double beds and amazing views of the oculus and WTC. The room is decorated in classy neutral tones with high end furniture and decor. The bathroom was huge and luxurious. The bath products provided were super high quality and the scent was amazing. Public spaces were elegant with interesting sculptures. The breakfast and CUT by Wolfgang Puck was delicious. All interactions with staff were friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this hotel! read more

From check in to check out, our experience at Four Seasons was incredible. Everyone was very welcoming and polite when we first walked in. The hotel was very clean and smelled good. Our check in was super-fast and easy, they even upgraded us to a beautiful corner room. The man who was helping us was Turkish; and I also am Turkish so 10+ points for that. After checking us in he walked us to our room on the fifteenth floor and showed us how to use the elevator. My boyfriend had requested a champagne bottle to the room upon arrival, but because they upgraded our room the bottle wasn't there. Since it was supposed to be a surprise and it got messed up, they brought us up a complimentary bottle with macaroons and water. We had a small issue with the iPad in the room, it wasn't charging correctly and within 20 minutes IT resolved the issue for us. We then ordered room service, we ordered the Ahi Tuna Tartare, Faroe Island Salmon Tartare, Spaghetti Pomodoro, Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli, Macaroni & Cheese and Parmesan Truffle Fries. They took my order through text message, fast and easy. The food arrived in less then 45 minutes. They brought the food on a beautiful set up table and took out the food from a heater below. I was not expecting that kind of set up, but I will say everything we ate was amazingly good. The room had a queen-sized bed, loaded mini bar, espresso machine, television in bathroom, bathtub, private toilet, separate shower, pillows were super soft, bed was very comfortable. We went to check out the pool and spa, indoor pool was big, and they gave towels and canned water. We only stayed for a night, but all in all it was a fantastic experience. We had such an amazing time that we made a new rule that every year we need to stay here for our anniversary. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice hotel Downtown. 10/10!! P.S. They do not have parking but there is a parking garage right next door, we paid around $85.00 for overnight parking. read more

Not a good hotel, I would not want to stay here again. The air vent in the room is positioned so that it blows directly on the face of anyone in the bed. How can you get a good night's sleep if air is constantly forced on your face all night, off and on. I had to turn the unit off to get any sleep and had a horrible night. The low flow shower was abysmal. There's a simple formula for how to rinse soap from oneself, and you need a particular quantity of water to remove the soap. Each soap molecule needs to bond to the water molecule so it can wash away. Low flow doesn't save any water, it just takes 2-3 times longer to rinse and is uber annoying. Also had an issue with the night-time front desk staff. I asked for something that comes in every hotel room because mine was not made up with that item. I asked the woman behind the front desk in the lobby. Some guy (also a hotel employee) was standing on the customer side of the counter and appeared to be flirting with her. He then proceeded to tell me I was lying because "all rooms come with that". I repeated that my room had none, and that I looked in the exact location he said it should be and there was none. The woman said she would send one to my room - nothing ever came. I had to go back the next day to ask a new front desk staff for the item. I've had better service and experience at every other mid-tier brand hotel than this one. I'm not a fan, and don't want to return. read more

From the second you walk in the door you're greeted with a warm welcome from the doorman and the front desk staff. Personally, I found this great because luxury hotels can have a tendency to be snooty or a bit cold, but the staff here were so accommodating and friendly. Along with a warm welcome, they gave us a free upgrade (that came with an amazing view) and more spacious room. Once we got in the room I was taken aback by the beautiful high ceilings and view of the city. The only downside was the bathroom didn't have a double sink I also made an appointment at their spa for a gel manicure and pedicure (with a parrafin treatment). The appointment was secluded and so great. It was such a zen and relaxing experience and I would highly suggest everyone take advantage of their great spa if you're staying there. My only suggestion would be to book your treatments in advance. Since their spa is rather small it's not likely to find last minute appointments available (especially because they really want to take their time with you). Overall, my time at the spa and hotel was great and I would highly recommend anyone to stay there. My only regret is not being able to visit the Wolfgang Puck restaurant conveniently located downstairs. read more

Medium service for the price but the shower ceiling literally caved in. We had a flight to catch the next morning and we were going to shower but noticed the ceiling collapsed. We were on the 12th floor. There was a foul stench coming from the water that dripped from the ceiling. None of us were able to take a shower since the whole restroom stank. Unfortunately we were unable to take a picture since we were in a rush. We called the front desk and room service at twelve one evening since we ran out of water. We waited for 15 minutes but no one picked up. read more

Came for a 50min reflexology massage yesterday and still in awe. The spa is located on the 3rd floor which can be accessed within the elevators of the hotel. Once arrived you are greeted with an iPad to check in and a small glass of apple ginger juice. They direct you to the lockers and you wait in the lounging area for the masseuse. The lounging area is gender neutral and has tea and snacks like dried mango and date energy bites. The massage itself was outstanding. Customizable bed height, heat level of the bed, and she also asked me how I felt about the music. My masseuse Kazumi made sure I was comfortable with the pressure level so we went from light and upping to moderate. She focused on the knots I had on my back and upper body and also spent more time on my neck and shoulder as requested. The massage was a bit pricey at $225 for 50mins but I highly recommend her and would be back. read more

Great liquor selection and lots of nice touches including beautiful stemware. In honor of National Tequila Day, I had the Indecent Exposure and it was really great. On my last trip to NYC I stayed at the St Regis and I thought that it was grand. The Four Seasons Hotel may even be better. Located on East 57 street it is centrally located, has large rooms, a great bar, and great staff. All rooms have floor to ceiling windows, and the bath tubs fill up in just 60 seconds. What I find most impressive is that the rooms are all sound proofed. This is a good thing because I can be a bit vocal when I get intimate with my husband. mixed feelings about the spa here. great massage by Laura but that's basically it. you can't use the pool if you are not staying at the hotel, no dry sauna, no jacuzzi, no relaxing room, (there is a tiny waiting lounge that's used as relaxing lounge as well) just a steam sauna which I can't handle and the locker they assigned me didn't work. So for almost $500 (mandatory 20% tip which Laura deserves every penny) for 90 minutes herbal massage, i don't know.... I think I will consider returning if they let me use their pool and have better snacks at the lounge (berry-infused water was delicious but the snacks were boring) or cheaper pricing. read more

This was the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The service was top notch. As soon as we walked in, not only did they greet us by our names, but they offered us water. The gym and indoor pool were so nice. Lifeguards were super friendly. We had dessert/drinks at their restaurant Cut, and the sommelier, David took the time to explain/suggest different pairings. Although, no hotel could ever beat the Four Seasons EXPERIENCE, the Four Seasons Downtown NYC is arguably the best. I don't know where to start because every experience has been special. However, my most recent stay was quite memorable. It was my 40th birthday celebration and they could not have made it any better! My bag was swifted away at the door and I was greeted with so much genuine kindness and happiness. I arrived at 0800 and they checked me in the suite immediately. The manager greeted me at the front desk. They automatically upgraded my Suite from Liberty to Oculus complimentary - just because they could!!! My entire weekend was coordinated by them with ease and efficiency: reservations, transportation, food - anything we needed, they made happen. If they didn't have something, they offered to send guest relations outside of the hotel to get it for me. And, I was headed to Morocco afterwards and one of the staff (Morocco native) was sent up to tell me all about the local experience. Lastly (although I'm sure I am missing something), they gave me a complimentary 1600 check-out time. I cannot say thank you enough. I am beyond grateful. So when I come to NYC, I like to stay in my old neighborhood, which happens to be lower Manhattan. We used to stay at the Ritz Carlton Battery Park, but it's been sold. What to do? Enter Four Seasons Downtown. This place is my new oasis in the City. Had our third stay here in August and couldn't be happier. Wonderful rooms, as expected. The best beds. Top quality service. Perfect location for being central to the area and also hoping over to Brooklyn. Other pluses include the nice indoor pool and fabulous room service. She works not just of the face but also on the neck and chest as well which I enjoy. Two areas of skin concern for me are pores and puffiness under the eye. She does a great job with each. The extractions are thorough (some pressure) but in my opinion not painful. She did a really great job. I was complimented on my skin each time for days after. The general comments have been your skin looks bright and glowing. My skin generally feels soft and smooth for days after my visits with Lorna. She did a great job and is generally masked up. Wow. We were looking for an upscale hotel to stay in for one of our trips to NYC and the Four Seasons accommodated all of our needs. It is close to the PATH station at WTC so getting here was a breeze. They have valet as well if you choose to drive. The hotel is so quiet. You cannot hear anything from inside the rooms. No street noise or other guests. The beds are comfy and the blankets very cozy. Espresso and a hot pot is available from within the room. Room service food was a big thumbs up. My wife said some of the items, like tomato soup, was the best she has had. It is pretty much impossible to relax in NYC but the Four Seasons makes it easily doable. All of the staff, from the check in desk, to housekeeping are friendly and always at your service. I highly recommend. read more

This is one of our favorite hotels in NYC. We have stayed here many times. "Everything is better at the Four Seasons" we often say as a joke but it is true lol. The gym is our favorite too. Its pretty big and almost all the equipment as a regular gym, plus they always have snacks and flavored water in the gym. The restaurant "CUT" by Wolfgang Puck downstairs is also really good both in food quality and atmosphere/ design. Truffle popcorn at the bar is a must try too! read more

I stayed at the hotel for 30 days. Service was not up to par for a 5 star hotel, spa was not good at all and was told from hotel someone would be in contact with me, which never happened. The only thing I can say that was good was The Wolfgang Puck restaurant. The food there was delicious and the service was great. Next time will try out The Conrad. read more
