This seems really fishy but my negative review of this business just disappeared. I will continue to post no matter how many times my reviews of this business are taken down I feel its important that people know they will be ripped off if they do business with these people. The people at this business are very rude and pushy. They are constantly trying to get you to buy additional services. Do you want you chairs cleaned? How about your Sofa? Would you like protectant? I noticed you have tile would you like to get that cleaned? And so on and so on. But they are just rude about the way they ask and even after you say no they just keep on pushing. They give you the big sales pitch about how they are the best. They will even give you a brochure outlining the 12 step process they use, then go and skip steps, like the pre-vacuum. I don't mind paying more to get superior service but I feel that I paid twice as much as anyone else in the area and there are plenty of other companies I can go to that would have done a better job. read more

Great quality and service. A friend shipped a couple of used Moroccan rugs from Tangier that needed to be cleaned. Four Seasons did a terrific job and made excellent suggestions. More recently I was in Marrakech where I purchased some additional rugs. They will be taken to Four Seasons shortly for a protective application that resists pet "issues". Before I contacted Four Seasons I'd been hassling with another carpet cleaning company that I'd bought a deal for. They never returned my calls or emails and I realized I couldn't cut corners to get the job done right. Four Seasons did not disappoint. I got a call back from my online quote request right away and scheduled the cleaning at my convenience. All my dealings with the employees were warm and accommodating and it was always clear they were proud to be a company that guaranteed client satisfaction. Their process is very educational. After I made the appointment I got an email that described their 12-step cleaning process. (It's extensive.) A day or 2 before my appointment I got an email with steps to take before the cleaning, including moving kick-knacks (they move the furniture as part of the service), and how long until the carpet is dry. I'm told that if I have any issues in the next month they'll come back. The cleaning happened 3 days ago and this morning I got a call from the office following up to see if I had any concerns. BE AWARE! As the technician who came out offered..."we are not a bait and switch operation." Well...I am not sure what they are but it is true that they definitely are something very negative. The price on the phone (They decided to estimate over the phone) was completely ignored and when the cleaning tech came it had more than doubled. And yese tech was trying to add on and on and on things I didn't want. The attitude was one of "we don't care if you are going to share your view of us." They were asked to leave and they did. EXCELLENT WORK! This is the second time I've used this company, and they are consistently wonderful. Their process is exceptionally thorough and staff is knowledgeable and well trained. Truly experts in their field. Yes they are pricey, but if you invested in quality carpet, you should invest in a quality cleaning company, and these are the folks!!! I've used DIY home carpet cleaners before, and even rented the grocery-store Rug Doctor (when the aforementioned home machine broke mid-job). They are not the same beast as what the pros use AT ALL. Way too easy to beat the heck out of your carpet and over-saturate it. If your carpets are junk, by all means use the DIY machines or a bargain company. But if you have high quality carpets, don't risk wrecking them - hire Dan & his team! read more

Four seasons has cleaned my carpet two times now and after each time my carpet looks and smells like new and my carpet is over 10 years old. After the cleaning the carpet feels so soft under my feet instead of hard and flat. They were able to get up several pet stains, one really stubborn stain at the top of my stairs, and even a mustard stain. They applied a stain guard on the carpet after the cleaning and that is well worth it. Liquid beads up on top of the carpet instead of just soaking right in. That gives you time to clean it up before it can soak in and stain. They also used a machine to clean my wood floor and then applied a semi gloss sealer that covers up small scratches and it looks beautiful. The semi gloss sealer makes the floor look better than when it was first installed. It has been three weeks now after they cleaned my carpet and I was delighted to get a call from them asking how the carpet is and they even offered to come back out if any of the stains came back and clean them for free. I am very happy with their service because they arrived on time did what they said they were going to do and more at the price they quoted. I would recommend them to anyone thinking about getting their carpet or wood floors cleaned. read more

It was a horrible experience. I scheduled a date to have my carpet cleaned one week in advance. However, when the day came to have my carpet cleaned, I called the Four Seasons to double check that I would receive a receipt and they told me that they did not write down my appointment and that I was not in their system. This was a huge problem for me because I was required to move out the same day. (I was also required by my apartment complex to have my carpet professionally cleaned before I moved out, hence this dilemma regarding the Four Seasons not showing up). The person I spoke to on the phone from the Four Seasons said that he was sorry I didn't have an appointment and offered to still come down to Santa Barbara, where I was, later in the afternoon at 5:00pm. Even though I was already planning to move out from my apartment in the morning and attend a camping trip at 12:00pm, I agreed to stay. I waited until 2:00pm until the man I spoke to on the phone called me back and said that his truck had broken down and that he would not be able to come after all. This horrible customer service cost me a lot, emotionally and monetarily. Instead of paying $50 to have my carpet cleaned through the Four Seasons (I had a coupon), my apartment complex charged me $120 for cleaning it themselves. And because I waited for the Four Seasons to try to come and clean the carpet at 5:00pm, I missed a whole day of a camping trip with the Teen Center, which was a group of youth that I had volunteered with that I would not be able to see again because I would be moving out of Santa Barbara. Trying to get service from the Four Seasons has been an all around bad experience. read more

In the middle of recent move, I noticed that my oriental carpets needed cleaning. Once the furnniture had been moved, you could see where some dirt had accumulated. I really didnt want to move and install dirty carpets in my new home, so I did a quick yelp search and found Four Seasons. I called them right away and as luck would have it they had a service van in the area and were able to pick up my carpets DURING the move -- great customer service. They cleaned 4 orientals as well as doing some minor repair at a reasonable price and did a great job. After the cleaning, I could really see how badly they needed it. In the past, I had been using another company to do the cleaning in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles, but Four Seasons is much closer and did as good, if not better. Cleaning orientals is not like regular carpet cleaning. It is a special process and takes some time. These guys know what they are doing. read more

From the start, the guys that came to my home were very professional and nice. I had made a mistake but they were able to be super courteous and still were able to take the time to clear it up and get hard at work. They were right on the nose with the estimate and what I called in which is really nice to know ahead. The people are very knowledgeable about the business. I have some knowledge of products so when they explained the different items, I knew they were right on the money! My carpet looks and smells great. Now if they could just train my dogs, lol. I have a turtle rug that I got in Hawaii and had it shipped home. It is circular and for some reason my puppy decided to eat part of it. I was devastated but remembered Silvie at Four Seasons Rug Care from my Chamber group and decided to give them a try. I did not meet Dan, but saw one of the documentaries he made and it was very sensitively done, interviewing soldiers who survive the Bataan death march in the war. I had four oriental rugs cleaned and they did a great job. The two young men who helped me put them down at home were courteous and pleasant. I will not take expensive oriental and Navajo rugs anywhere else. But it is costly, (the reason for four instead of five stars), so I am very careful with my rugs. They do have special discounts certain times of the year and I will make use of those. I am well aware how intensive the cleaning process is and that an ordinary rug cleaner can easily ruin a fine rug. read more

On the Sunday before thanksgiving I was mortified to learn that my chihuahua had been marking our deep shag throw rug. I called this establishment and the owner answered - on a Sunday! And he came out the next day, knowing that I needed the rug clean and dry by the holiday. He did an excellent job, was courteous and made helpful suggestions. I had foot traffic spots from my wood floors to the carpet in my master bedroom that kept coming back, even after other cleaning companies had tried to remove them by pre treating the "heavy traffic" area. I was advised that the color would always be darker because the carpet was now stained; it's only 3 years old! This is a very reputable company that has a lot of experience and is approved to clean the sort of carpet I have, a Stainmaster. This is the main reason I choose them. Customer service is very good. Dan Traub, the owner, explained the entire process to me. The two technicians (Luis and Chris) that showed up to do my carpet were excellent. The job took about 2 hours. Cost was 80c a foot. The carpet definitely looks and smells a whole a lot better. The carpet is less than 1 year old, a very short pile, and a very light color. It doesn't get a lot of traffic, but we had a poop incident in the dining room (I spot cleaned prior to Four Seasons' arrival, but it still needed sanitizing and odor removal). Originally, I was just going to do that area and have the rest cleaned in April. But, I figured they were here and so we'd do the dining room, living room and hall as well. Part of the reason I just went ahead with doing all the carpet was because I was told that they only steam the carpet, they don't soak the padding, and the carpets are dry to the touch in about 6 hours. I think it has to be said, however, my rugs were not dry to the touch in 6 hours and in my case, the padding did get wet. So steam carpet cleaning isn't something I will do again unless it's the middle of summer and bone dry so I can throw open my house to get it dried out. I wish I had been told how soaked my carpets would be because I would have opted to just do the stained spot and wait on the rest. Also if your sensitive to odors, the smell of the stain removers and carpet protector is really strong (and they tell you to keep the house closed up and the temp at 70 at least). It goes away in about 24 hours, but it's strong enough to give me a headache. Again, it would have been better to do on a sunny day when I could open the windows and doors and let the smell clear out or if I'd been going away for a weekend and it didn't matter. Being totally honest here, I believe something went wrong with our job. I think the steamer was putting out too way much water. At 19 hours after the cleaning I am having to walk around the house with miles of Bounty paper towel soaking up the wet spots. If the steam was really only doing the top of the carpet, as I was told, I doubt I'd be able to stand on a paper towel and get water spots up at this point. Given the current cold weather, I can't open my doors. Also I can't leave my pets locked up for two or three days while this carpet dries out. I may have to borrow a friend's Bissell carpet cleaner just to get the excess moisture up. The entire carpet is like walking on damp shower towels, and the house is like a sauna. The humdity is 42%, and we even kept the heat at 73 (above the at least 70 recommended). I had to go around this morning with bath towels to remove the sheets -- actually running sheets -- of water which had completely covered every window in the entire house including the a pair of sliding doors. Truly an insane amount of water. At this point, I figure it's going to take at least another day to dry to the touch and probably a couple days to actually dry out. Would I use this service again? Yes, but only in the summer and only if the steamer is turned way, way down. I think they are great people, super honest, and very professional. I just think in my case they had a slight bit of an equipment failure. read more

Because my own rug turned out so great, I scheduled Dan and his team to come do the carpet at my work, which hasn't been cleaned in 7 years. It's a retail store and so has many different small stains from dirty shoes, people spilling their coffee, and general wear-and-tear. Dan inspected the carpet himself and explained everything that would be done and what kind of results I could expect -- he was up-front about the traffic patterns not coming out completely because of crushing of the fibers, which another carpet company had neglected to mention when we got a quote. Four Season's price was agreeable, and the quality even better than I had expected. It took longer than estimated -- four hours instead of two -- but that's largely because the guys had to go over a few places a couple of extra times and I also had them seal-protect it. The guys were very friendly and polite, as well as careful, and they didn't knock over a single thing, or mind me hanging around asking a lot of questions. The protective finish turned out to be a great investment, too, because just a few days later my boss brought home a puppy to bring into work with her! The puppy has already had a couple of "accidents" but they cleaned up easily just as they'd promised. The carpet looks almost new and not a single stain remains! We will definitely be using their services again and I will recommend them highly. read more

I purchased what seemed like a great deal from Groupon...the person over the phone told me that it was ok that I used two coupons ( I have a large area and still would be paying some cash). I was away and left my roommate to handle it. The owner was not willing to honor 2 coupons and told me even though the office had ok'ed it that he would not be honoring it. Ok...I am not happy not about the policy but the one says ok and the other says no. So my upstairs did not get cleaned. As it turns out the living room did not get cleaned well either. He said the carpet was extra dirty. Come to find out they were in and out in about an hour or less. I have had the carpet cleaned several times...this company was the worst.
