Arriving at 5:20 on Friday of the Memorial Day weekend we were pleasantly surprised by the facility, the staff, and the vet. Our beloved 80 lb lab mix has started having massive black poops the 2 nd if which was up in Estes park at 4 pm Friday. We called 4 seasons and were advised to bring Chloe in. When we arrived at the scrupulously clean facility, we were greeted by the office staff who had already begun paperwork based on our phone conversation. The vet saw Chloe immediately and came out to give us preliminary report on vitals along with recommendation for next steps. The vet tech followed with cost estimates. After conclusion of those tests, the vet came out again to tell us results of blood work and's xrays and to let us know fecal labs vwouldn't be back till Tuesday. She gave us diagnosis of colitis, and recommended meds and post visit instructions. Check out was seamless, and final visit was about 10% less than the low estimate. Three days later our dog is recovered. A very pleasant experience for an emergency vet office. High marks to all! read more

My daughter took her dog to four seasons on July 15th, using their after hours service to have her dying dog humanely put down. Did they do that?? No they convinced her to run tests and blood work to the tune of $900. Canda puts people down for minor things, but four season can't even put an old dying dog down. A dog who is actively dying!!! From my initial call to the facility, I found the receptionist to be professional and willing to answer my questions about appointment availability and estimate. The staff was caring and professional. I was able to talk with the radiologist after the ultrasound and get my questions answered. Unfortunately we did not discover the reason behind my dog's unexplained fever and illness. I appreciated not feeling rushed and the clinic staying on schedule. Waiting for the appointment to begin, I did find it somewhat off-putting to have to listen to the front desk staff discuss personal or non-business related issues. This review is overdue, but we had a very positive experience with Four Seasons in October after our pup ingested a full peach pit the boarders. We were transfered to Four Seasons from VCA since they had a surgical team on call that Sunday. Throughout the entire process, we were extremely impressed with the level of communication and care we received. By the time we got there, our Gus was in extreme pain, and they immediately began pain medication so he did not need to suffer a minute longer. The staff at four seasons was great. Our family vet encouraged us to take our beautiful six-year-old husky to Four seasons. Her medical situation went downhill quickly. And unfortunately, they weren't able to save her. But the four days that she spent there, we felt she was getting the best care possible. The staff was so accommodating, even allowing us to come in the middle of the night to visit with her. Everyone was so kind and compassionate. Especially Dr. Kelly McCord who actually sat on the floor with us around our sweet girl and asked to hear stories about her. Even though we didn't get to bring her home, I would highly recommend four seasons to anyone wanting the best emergency veterinary care possible. We are forever grateful to them. read more

The only reason I am giving this place even one star at all is because they were able to fit my dying cat in on short notice. The cat had an intestinal blockage and after the ultrasound, these people assumed we were going to go right into surgery without even speaking to us about the cost beforehand. They wanted $6,000 -$11,000 for an intestinal surgery to remove the blockage from his small intestine. This is an absurd number for a pet (I love my pet; he is my child; but come on, 11 grand? That can't be real). They were taken aback when we said we weren't going to do the surgery but would instead put him down and, as we were open to hearing the options they offered for us, as soon as we declined, it genuinely felt like a bunch of vultures began swarming us, trying to sell us on buying a credit card loan plan or two that would ding our credit. It just felt really gross and icky. As soon as we said we weren't doing the surgery, different random people came out to speak with us, spouting a bunch of info at us about these loan companies that I can barely remember, because my emotions were in a compromised state...which I can only imagine is what they look for so they could use our emotions to control our wallet. A second or two would have been nice before being bombarded by 4 different people, 2 of whom I had never even seen before. Then, we were told that there's the "gold standard" treatment, where the cat would have to stay over night for A WEEK. They led us to believe that if we didn't do the "gold standard" treatment, having him stay with them for a week post-op, then it would lead to complications and that it wasn't a great idea. A week? That's absurd. We were pretty set on our decision and wanted them to bring our cat out so we could go, but they kept sending more people out to convince us of other options. The nail in the coffin for me was that the last "salesperson" that came in suggested that we could surrender him as she was sure one of the staff members here could afford to do it to save him, but he wouldn't be ours anymore. These people are out of touch. Money hungry, tone deaf and don't even appear to hide it. I want to assume positive intent, but the way they operated just didn't feel right or genuine. They don't know how to deliver tough information. They play the "concerned doctor" role, decent actors who act like they care, but it's empty and hollow. Something doesn't feel genuine about it. Something isn't right. It feels like they expect everyone to bow at their feet and pay an ABSURD amount and then if you deny them, they gaslight you into feeling like you're doing something wrong as you walk out. "No judgement" they said, while seemingly holding the cat hostage until we made a decision to save him. In the end, we were able to get the surgery done and save our cat at a different ER vet for a FRACTION of the $11,000....which tells me that this was an incredible upcharge and that it's possible to get it done for MUCH less. I've spoken with 3 different vet tech friends about our experience and they are absolutely appalled by this number. Jaw dropping reactions. This can't be a legitimate cost. There's no way. Our home ER vet was able to do it for $2500. No problem. No questions asked. No "week long stay." I'm appalled. This was insane behavior. Never again will I attend. I have all her medical records and proof that was submitted to the Texas Veterinary Board. So it is very reckless of you to say there is more to the story. What an amazing place. Had the good fortune of having our local veterinarian refer Four Seasons Veterinary Specialist for the care of our very very sick dog. We were told Four Seasons had the facilities, specialized imaging equipment and staff , along with the around-the-clock care Ollie needed. Ollie couldn't have been luckier to spend 30 hours at Four Seasons. He got the best treatment, by the best, trained, knowledgeable staff. All in beautiful, clean facilities. The three veterinarians that worked with Ollie were Doctors Halpin, Sullivan and Garbino. These three vets had all three of these rarely-found attributes: brilliant, ability to listen and communicate clearly, and empathy. You three amaze me. My cat almost died after being misdiagnosed by CSU vets - she nearly starved to death after they put her on a high fiber diet without treating the real cause of her weight loss. They just called it idiopathic, which means they didn't know what was wrong. I took her to Four Seasons and they immediately found the real problem and started her with the correct treatment for inflammation of her liver, pancreas, and small intestine. While it is never good when you have to make a late night visit they explained everything in detail and were extremely patient and understanding. I came here for my kitty to have a PU surgery for his continual urethral blockages. The staff were more than amazing! They were super caring and supportive through a hard time as my boy was there for a week. He was well treated and cared for. I brought my dog here during an emergency and the vet was extremely straight forward and clear on diagnosis and what needed to be done for my dog to get better. She was very calm which put me to ease. Heather was incredible and watched over my baby all day long. Had great care this morning! After another 24 hour vet ignored me I decided to take a chance at Four Seasons and I am so glad I did. We had a great experience and we were in and out in less than an hour! The Dr was very thorough and told me the game plan. I wish they offered routine visits because I would switch asap! Terrible experience. If I could give 0 stars I would. Rebecca should NEVER answer phones again. Our dog had had very bloody diarrhea for 24 hours, wouldn't eat, wouldn't drink, and multiple vets told us to take him to the ER immediately. We get there and are told it's a 3 hour wait. We wait an hour in front of the ER as instructed and don't get helped as dogs just arriving are being helped. We called again and Rebecca rudely informed us that it wasn't life threatening and if he can breathe he needs to leave. Disgusted and repulsed are just a couple of words that come to find. read more

I brought my 8 month old dog in yesterday concerned that she may have eaten a toxic plant and I wanted to be safe rather than sorry. I called my regular vet and they suggested four seasons. I called them and brought her over. Instead of listening to me when I said she hadn't really been coughing much and she was panting and I was worried she had swallowed a plant, they jumped to the conclusion of kennel cough. I told them she had gone to daycare 10 days prior. The incubation period for kennel cough is 5-7 days and she hadn't been showing any symptoms of kennel cough at all. I am very disappointed that they wrote off my concerns and jumped to kennel cough just because she goes to daycare. I called today to see about fixing the situation since I payed $180 for medication I don't need and they proceeded to write off the fact that she had thrown up the plant last night and that was the issue. They told me to keep giving her the medication they gave me for kennel cough and didn't even brush over the fact they had missed her eating a toxic plant. I will not be going back here and I will not be giving them any recommendations. Very disappointed and something way worse could have happened. read more

I was out on the lake at Boyd and somehow my dog got a hook in his nose. We couldn't get out Rush him to the vet and they got it out in three hours. They are very strict about social distancing and everyone is wearing masks which I agree with and appreciate! They were very professional on the phone and through the whole process. PLEASE READ THIS POST!!!! If I could select zero stars, I would. I absolutely do not recommend this place. My 8 month puppy has passed because of their lack of communication and lack of professionalism. I had called them on October 2nd letting them know my poor puppy has seen a vet and had a broken jaw. They did not instruct me on what to do just that their dentist doctor would be in on Monday the 3rd and to be there at 7am. I went off of my other vets advice and fed her a soupy meal and gave her the pain meds that he prescribed. The next morning I had given her some soupy food and her pain meds and we took her to this clinic. When we got there we checked in and after and hour of waiting in the waiting room they finally took her back for "vitals". They instructed us to leave and we would receive a phone call on her status. We heard nothing for hours. I had to call several times on her status and after 10 hours of my poor baby girl sitting there they finally were ready to take her X-rays (they were performing a root canal on another dog, which was what caused the delay). How could you have a patient with a broken jaw and prioritize a root canal! When they were finally ready for X-rays, hey called us and told us the details of what needed to be done and transferred us to the ER for the price it would cost. They're was no answer After being transferred twice and no answer, the dentistry office picked back up and said they would call us back with the price and that they were going to start surgery. First of all, we never gave them a go ahead for the surgery because we did not discuss the price. Secondly, I didn't even know if it was humane to keep her alive with all the procedures that would have had to be done. Finally, I get a call from the ER and they gave me the costs for her to be euthanized and her cost for surgery. Surgery was gonna be several thousand dollars and her being euthanized was supposed to be roughly $800 considering they had given her pain meds and X-rays. I spoke to the Dr. Redman and asked her several time if it would be worth it to do the surgery and if it was going to cause her more pain and she couldn't give me a straight answer. After 3 hours of her being on anesthesia we decided to put her down. A different doctor came in with a bill of $3000 and we immediately told them we wanted to do the surgery because with that bill we had already essentially paid for her surgery. He told Dr. Redman and she said the surgery could no long be done because she had sent her tech's all home. This all happened in a span of 5 minutes. Her words were that they would not do anything until we signed the paperwork to put her down. What did she do, she sent everyone home. So back to square one we put her down and paid the $3,000 and left; it was 8pm at this point They were not honest with the entire process, they did not go over how bad the break was, nor did we see X-rays. We had to beg for 5 minutes of time to discuss the price and what we wanted to do. On October 6th I called them asking if her ashes had been delivered and they told me they had been. Once again, I had to call for an update; they did not reach out. When we arrived to pick up her ashes we asked for the manager of the practice and that we wanted to speak with her. They gave us her email and Dr. Garbino had approached us with concerns on why we wanted to speak with her. She took us to a private room and I gladly explained the entire situation. She was the most genuine and helpful person and she gave us closure for our puppy. She went over our puppies X-rays and spent close to an hour with us explaining how terrible this process was going to be for her if we went forward with the surgery. This was information we needed the day of and I asked several times for this information and was constantly danced around. Dr. Garbino let us keep her photos of her X-rays and let us know that she would speak with Courtney (the manager of the practice). She let us know that she would reach out the following day. Once again I had to reach out and get a hold of Courtney, this was on October 7th. She discussed some concerns and she wanted some time to speak with the rest of those involved in this situation. Which is fine, I understand. She let me know she would be calling me back but wasn't sure that it would be that same day. It is now October 11th and have heard nothing from the practice. I'm very disappointed with how they handled this situation and how they are continuing to handle this situation. Do not trust this practice with your four legged children!!! They took away my best friend, my child, my everything. Nothing can replace this hurt in my heart. She was my support animal and got me through so much. I am absolutely devastated! I left my house the day after she passed and am living with my parents because I can not function when every little thing reminds me of her sweat little self. read more

This place rocks. I took my puppy in the wee morning hours because she snagged my Ibuprofen off of the table, what a disaster. They were clearly very busy but made it a point to make sure my girl was safe and explained well what was going on with her throughout the experience. I felt she got appropriate care and I got the peace of mind of knowing she was thoroughly examined by a professional and safe to come home with us given we follow the Dr's instructions. Definitely glad I drove a bit out of the way to come to this particular clinic based on the reviews I read prior. It's not cheap, but emergency care never is. We took our pup to Four Seasons when our dog started getting jaundice. While we still don't know the cause, we were happy with how they took care of our dog. (She had to stay over night). We love Dr. Halpin - she was informative and empathetic. I did have a poor experience with a different vet there (don't remember the name). She talked down to me and asked me "are you in the medical field" when I was asking her questions. It was very demeaning. Seeing that we spent over $3,000 there, I felt like I should be able to ask questions about what they were doing with my dog and why certain tests were necessary. I would recommend this place if someone needed an emergency vet, but I would also tell them to ask questions about what tests they are doing to the dog and make sure everything is absolutely necessary because it is so expensive. read more

My cat, who has early kidney and heart disease, needed dental care. My regular vet recommended Dr. Redman. I was very nervous about anesthesia with my cat's medical conditions and I thought he'd probably need teeth pulled. The care we received was great - the anesthesiologist explained everything, answered my questions and I felt reassured by her expertise. Dr. Redman and staff took such good care of my cat. He is afraid of dogs so they kept him separated from other animals in a private office, they kept me posted on his care and happily he didn't need teeth pulled and had a sealant placed to protect his teeth from gingivitis for a time. While Four Seasons may be more expensive due to their specially trained vets and special equipment, I truly believe my cat had the best care possible, we avoided unnecessary tooth loss and protected his health for future years. I am thoroughly appalled by the ethics of this Veterinary Hospital! I was out of town and my neighbors were caring for our cats when one of them went missing. I came home early to search for my beloved MaoMao Tao during severe thunderstorms and found him on the side of the road , emaciated and almost dead. I rushed him to this business and was told I'd need to make a $300 payment and they'd see what they could do. I mentioned I'd signed up for pet insurance while visiting my sister and this is what happened next. They told me he seemed to be coming around and we should do what we could to keep him alive for the next 24 hours. I asked that they fill out the prequalifying forms for the insurance (the insurance I chose just a few days earlier stated accidents were covered after 24 hours). The veterinarian gave me so much hope though I brought in a skeleton looking cat that appeared to have already been deceased . That veterinarian treated him for two days before taking three days off. When the next vet came on duty she was HORRIFIED and upset WITH ME for prolonging my cats life!!! She reprimanded me when I told her I'd take my cat home (as I wanted to have him euthanized by Home to zHeaven AT HOME and not in the clinical setting. She yelled at me "just because you are USED TO DEATH doesn't mean you should let this cat suffer... he is NOT going to live!" Apparently because I'm s hospice RN she thinks I'm used to death and that it was ME who made the medical determination to keep my cat alive AND SUFFERING for pure greed. The doctor didn't fill out the pre-certification forms until they had performed approximately $9000.00 worth of procedures over the two days. Insurance denied the claim and I was forced to put the charges on my credit cards just to pick up Maumau and take him home. They would not even bring him out until I'd paid! This is an unethical and disgusting way to ruin the hearts and lives of pet parents. It's been a month and I'm just now able to discuss it. ZERO STARS FOR YOUR UNETHICAL PRACTICES! AND COMPLETE LACK OF COMPASSION FOR PET PARENTS! read more

My dog was worked in for an ultrasound of his liver on Monday, April 26, 2021, because of elevated liver values. Four Seasons was quick & efficient with his abdominal ultrasound. The staff is exceptional - everyone is so kind and caring and it's apparent that there is love for your four legged child. My pup Scarlett had bilateral TPLO surgery in July and was in the hospital for 2 days. She received such great, attentive care and I appreciate that they let me visit a couple of times a day. She needs a little PT but is able to jump on the bed and into the car like she used to. Very grateful to Four Seasons, Dr Britt and the staff for the kindness they've shown us. When you search for an Emergency Clinic for animals this establishment comes up first. They seem helpful but when we arrived we were told we would have a 3.5 to 4 hour wait in the parking lot with a dog that was in chronic pain due to a serious injury. We were not informed of this before we made the harrowing drive to this clinic with a dog in serious condition. I can get wait times at the Ski area or DMV with no issue but not at this vet clinic. this is not an Emergency Clinic at all. They wait to tell you about the wait time until you have driven to their location which leaves you with a horrible decision. Do I wait in the parking lot while my pet dies? THERE IS NO REAL ER FOR PETS IN LOVELAND COLORADO. IF YOUR PET IS SERIOUSLY INJURED IT WILL LIKELY DIE BEFORE THESE FOLKS CAN HELP. read more

I'd give Four Seasons 10 stars - they're that good. I have a four month old puppy lab that was misdiagnosed with a broken femur and was NOT told of his high fever. I got my pup into Four Seasons and they quickly discovered that my pup actually had a septic joint, can be somewhat common in pups, and had a fever of 105. They got his fever down and administered antibiotics and pain meds. But the various doctors kept me informed with multiple phone calls - my pup had to stay overnight - and were on top of everything from the start. Also, while many people waited for their pets outside due to COVID, they came out and offered water to us - classy touch!! You cannot go wrong taking your beloved pet to Four Seasons. read more

Do Not take your pet here for end of life care. Brought in my 3lb chihuahua that had suffered a major seizure. They insisted on catheterizing him even though it was obvious he was very dehydrated. Of course they could not find a vein so they punctured him several times before euthanizing him. I asked repeatedly if they could just give him an injection. They said that wasn't their protocol. We elected to take him home to bury him. The bill was $231. Found out another vet would have come to our house to euthanize him for $75. Terribly cruel to put an IV in a 3lb chihuahua, but I guess you can't charge the big bucks if you go a simpler route. Shameful. read more

Had to rush my 16 week old Aussie to them because the got a hook in his paw. They were quick very help full and didn't charge me an arm and a leg.
