had dinner here twice in the span of 3 days. that should tell you something. awesome food, great service, friendly people.

Service was poor. The guy was almost 60 so was his manager and couldn't understand English when he was in English American speaking waiter. We specifically told him that the $40 tip in cash was his and to charge the amount which was $191 on to my charge card low and behold I get home. I check my Chase account and I'll be damned if he didn't charge the $40 tip onto my account in addition to the $191 so I left them a voicemail message. The manager calls me back the next day and uses the excuse well ma'am you know he is an old man just like I am I said what part of English did he not understand when I told him that there is a cash $40 tip here for you and I put a zero under the cash tip area on the receipt they are shyster's basically they stole an additional $40 so he wanted an $80 tip. That's really what it was he didn't deserve an $80 tip. The food was late coming out we had to remind him several times of different things to bring. I would never recommend this. These people are thieves, so I disputed it with my Chase bank account and they credited me the $40 back. I look at my account and instead of it being charged $191 it was charged $241 so it looked like he reverse the $40 but then added it onto the total amount of the bill yeah I would call that stealing. read more

I've had cocktails here a couple of years ago but on my recent visit, I made reservations for dinner. Our group of four were seated promptly at their all year round rooftop terrace, Our server was pleasant and efficient throughout the evening. I tried: GRILLED OCTOPUS- delicious GNOCCHI- this was good but it was a little too oily/fatty because it was loaded with prosciutto PRIME HANGER- the steak and mashed potatoes were both prepared and cooked well The place is nice and clean. Happy Hour Review! The perfect happy hour spot in Downtown LaGrange! My husband and I ventured in on a weekday and sat at the bar for Happy Hour. Pete took care of us and went above and beyond to make our visit special. We ask suggestions for cocktails and he had great recommendations. My husband got the Adventure Land and Pete made me an "off menu" Last Word cocktail with mezcal he had been loving to make. This drink was amazing to say the least! It was frothy yet fruity and very balanced. The Adventure Land was also great and exactly what one wants in a summertime gin drink. I later also tried the One Upon a Time in Mexico which gave more of a mezcal spritz vibe. It was lighter and refreshing. For food, we shared the Scallops as well as the Gnocchi. All Starters are 25% off during Happy Hour. Items can still come at a premium but they had so many options to choose from, portions were standard sizes, and quality was great. Pete offered a free birthday dessert but we were too full to accept the generous offer. I highly recommend stopping into Fourteensixteen to explore their menu and drinks! read more

We had a great dinner here on a Friday night. The cocktail list has a lot of interesting options. I went with the fourteensixteen and really enjoyed it. Four of us shared the prosciutto flatbread and this was perfect as a starter. It was delicious and large enough for all of us to share without filling us up before our entrees. It was hard to decide from among all the tempting entree selections, but I was very happy with my choice of the pork tenderloin. It was cooked perfectly with a delicious seasoning and the corn and zucchini went perfectly with it. We shared some desserts and I split the spiced chocolate cake with my sister. It was wonderful; the spice was subtle, but definitely there adding a bit of something extra to the flavor. Service was excellent; our server knew the menu well and courses were nicely paced. The atmosphere is casual with an industrial decor. Parking was easy to find nearby on the street, but the garage is not far if all the nearby lots are full like they were the night we visited, and you want to avoid street parking. read more

Came here for the first time, and we were pleasantly surprised. First it seemed assuming from the outside, but once inside, it has a warm and cozy ambient. The staffs were friendly and patience with questions. The menu was small (ie not pages of options) but the items were thoughtfully curated. Best of all, it listed Gluten Free option! There was also wine and drink menu. I was able to custom order a mocktail. Even though the menu listed Gluten Free, I would suggest to inform the staff when placing order. Our waiter was very diligent in explaining. Overall, the food was amazing! Both the fish and the pork were too cooked to the right texture. They were flavorful but not too overwhelmed. My favorite of the desserts was Passionfruit & Coconut - it was a firm custard center with popping boba on top. The crust of Apple Tart was my least favorite of the three - the crust was soft and did not have the typical tart shell crunch. read more

Amazing Steak. Unexpected and easily in my top 5. Have gone several times since moving to the area. It's a great spot with wonderful food.

We visited for a 50th birthday party on the outside patio upstairs. It would be a great outdoor patio during the summer. It was covered when we were there so it was warm enough. The food was delicious and very unique. Not one item on our menu disappointed. You can't go wrong with any dish here. Portions are smaller but filling. read more

Food was dropped with no announcing of the dishes, we had to flag someone down to ask what the different cheeses were on the cheese plate. My boyfriend had the burger which came with a ton of fries. Fries were seasoned well. I had the pork tenderloin. It was seasoned well on top of some squash and corn. I honestly really enjoyed my experience. They seemed to really care about customer satisfaction. There was a mixup with the reservations and the manager apologized and quickly corrected the mixup. We both ordered steak options and both plates were cooked perfect, but I'm most amazed with the sauce they offered. They also have Irish coffee! It was nicely decorated and a rooftop is available. Worst experience ever. Mother's Day brunch. $65 a person. Food was ok. But when I tried to leave and asked for a to go box, I wasn't only shamed for asking, I was told the buffet is open until 4 pm so no to go boxes...‍what? So, your gonna put this leftover food back on the buffet or throw it away? Either way, I didn't get to take home my one lemon bar and 4 bites of Mac n cheese... not to mention they sent over the poor bus boy to be the bearer of bad news since they didn't want to tell us no box themselves-they definitely just knew it was ridiculous so made someone else say it to us. also, the manager or owner, not sure, was watching everyone and especially us like hawks to make sure those of us who were not participating in the buffet weren't eating off of the plates of those who were. It was an uncomfortable experience to say the least and he kept rolling his eyes as well seeming pissed off for some reason- who wants that environment and energy when dining especially on Mother's Day? Loved this place for their atmosphere and wonderful staff. I was running late so I have them a call and they were super pleasant on the phone. Got to restaurant and was greeted with a smile and was seated right away. Was given a nice table on the upstairs patio which was wonderful. The waitress gave us suggestions and was super attentive and very friendly. I feel the overall dinner for the price was worth it. Like their dishes were not over priced for portions and the food was tasty and flavorful also what I was hoping for in my meal. We hosted our bridal shower here on August 29th, 2021 and if you are looking for a perfect rooftop space in the cutest area, this is definitely the spot for you :) From the very beginning, Andrew was nothing short of spectacular. I was looking for something different than what I typically see and he made all of my bridal shower dreams/expectations come true. He was very professional, communicative, and most of all, patient with my questions! The day of the shower, the morning began with a downpour, and I was incredibly stressed out, as we were expecting 60 people on the rooftop. Andrew and his staff remained calm and collected. They were so pleasant to work with and working so diligently to make sure that everything occurred in a timely manner. Thankfully, it ended up being a beautiful (although, hot) day. The food was marvelous, the personalized menus were an incredibly nice touch. The space was beautiful in itself, not requiring too many decorations. My fiance built a donut wall and Andrew was very accommodating and allowed for it to be displayed. He also made sure to keep my fiance happy with so many different specialty cocktails. I am Brian Shea from 201 S. Ashland Ave., in La Grange. My wife Martina and I have lived here for 25 years. We took out another couple to 1416 in 2023, right before we left the country for a year. We had been good customers since its opening. Our credit card was left at the restaurant and when we called the next day, we were told they would look into it and get back to us. They never called us back, so we cancelled the card and paid to expedite shipment as we were leaving soon. A week later, they did call to say they did have the card - a young server had put it in the wrong drawer. These things happen. When my wife Martina went to retrieve the card, the manager at the time apologized and offered a free appetizer and bottle of wine when we would be back home after a year. Fast forward, we came back from overseas. We called for a reservation and explained - on the phone - what had been promised. The new manager, named Zipa, said he could not find any record of this, but would honor it nevertheless. At the restaurant, after we were seated, he came over and told us since he couldn't find any record of this, he couldn't honor it after all. And that he tried to call us to tell us just that. His call came in after we had entered the restaurant and I had turned my phone off! There were many other customers on the rooftop at the time, and we felt very humiliated and left. Basically, he was accusing us of trying to scam the restaurant - we were so embarrassed and angry. Once home I did find all of our charge records of our visits - not sure how he accused us of never having been there before. I didn't care for the freebie anymore, we neither needed or wanted it. To protect our honor, I went back to show Zipa our charge records about a week later. Zipa told me at that point that he indeed had been able to find our charges in the meantime, and that Paul, the former manager, remembered the incident. When asked why he did not call us to apologize, Zipa said that he thought it might have been awkward (?!) Then he added that Paul wasn't quite sure that we did not already take advantage of the free bottle of wine and free appetizer! When I asked if he believed we were trying to scam the restaurant he equivocated. We will not be going there again, unless there is a new manager who truly apologizes for how we were treated. read more

The food was AMAZING (probably the best food I've ever had at a shower), the service was very attentive and the ambiance on the rooftop was perfect. I highly recommend Fourteensixteen for any event! Scallops were delicious. Two scallops and a ham hock - nice with the Serrano! The flat bread was not worth the money. Skimped on the apples and sauce - probably better priced at $7 rather than $18. Definitely didn't seem worth it to me. Although every table around us seemed to order it. For the main course we had short rib and ravioli. Both delicious! Short rib was tender. Ravioli was a little on the sweet side but definitely enjoyed the "foraged" mushrooms. For dessert we had the passion fruit and pastry/espresso. I could probably eat the the passion fruit and coconut dish every day. So good. We ate every last bit. No waste. So perfectly sized portions. read more
