The pub food is always good. I had Cajun grilled chicken strips and they were healthy and really tasty. Drinks are always flowing and they have great prices here. Our server was very friendly and attentive.

Solid sports bar with good bar food! The wings with the Cajun rub are good! Definitely good portions! Service is solid and plenty of TVs to watch sports! Outdoor seating as well! Drinks are strong which I appreciate!

Coaches is a small bar with strong drinks and good food. I typically go on a Tuesday night for Take Back Tuesday. But be sure to get the err early if you want a seat. They play hip hop from 10:30 - 3:00 am and it's always a good time! I got a burger and onion strips and it was good. I was told the patties are not frozen which was a bonus! Also, they have daily drink specials!

How can you not love a downtown " hole in the wall" staple bar. Come here during ,after colts games, SOLID bartenders lol they actually make the drinks worth the price, trust me. DJs on Tuesdays, fun sociable crowds. Coaches is great.

Stopped in before a Pacer's game and wow this place was poppin! The inside has a small seating area near the bar and another main seating area that is a few steps down from the bar area, separated by a railing. Luckily we found a small table near the bar. The inside is decorated with sports memorabilia and there is a myriad of televisions on every wall. There was only a couple employees working but they were definitely hustling around making sure everyone was taken care of. They have drink specials every day of the week (usually $4 something). The menu has a wide variety of options including appetizers, soups/salads, quesadillas, burgers, wraps and even some fish sandwiches. We got mini corn dogs and split the buffalo chicken wrap. I was surprised that they offered the chicken either fried, blackened, or grilled. Because calories obviously don't count on the weekend, we went with fried. The food came out fast for the restaurant being so busy. The buffalo chicken wrap was excellent and the chicken was perfectly crispy. Just a heads up, the wrap comes with big chunks of carrots, which I thought added a nice crunch, but could see some other people not being a fan of. Overall, very impressed with the food, drinks and most importantly the atmosphere! Will definitely be back to watch games in the future.

I love coming to the old school DJ nights and when DJ MetroGnome is spinning ‍. I am old school and love vinyl. Tribe Called Quest, Beastie Boys, Nas, Jay Z, Ice Cube, House of Pain is my jam. It can take awhile to get a drink . The peeps there are so cool. Wish there was room to get down. I'm pretty funky whiteboy. Peace out. I'm Audi 5000!!!!!

Stopped by during the week for a late lunch. Didn't drink but wanted some bar-like food. Coaches was exactly what I was looking for-typical bar food, which was good. Service was sub-par and considering it was late lunch and not busy-there is really no excuse.

    Better get here on Tuesdays!!

We complimented it, asked where they found it, and before we knew it, we were chatting with a wonderful couple who had traveled all the way from overseas just to watch Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever play that night. Moments like that are one of the reasons I love Indianapolis on game days. The patio was the perfect place to soak it all in. Fever fans filled the sidewalks, kids proudly carried homemade signs, and there was an excitement in the air that only comes from a city rallying behind its team. We could have people-watched for hours. Our waitress was exactly what every server should strive to be. Friendly, relaxed, and genuinely fun to talk to, she somehow mastered the art of appearing right before we found ourselves looking around for her. We never felt rushed, but we also never waited for anything. The food held up its end of the bargain too. The fried mozzarella disappeared embarrassingly fast and earned a solid 9.3 on my unofficial stretch meter. Crispy on the outside, perfectly gooey inside, with a marinara sauce that was every bit as good as the cheese itself. The chef salad was fresh, generously loaded with toppings, and easily big enough for a meal. I honestly couldn't tell you what beer I ordered... Because what I remember most is the experience. Sharing appetizers on a sunny patio, meeting fellow basketball fans from halfway around the world, and watching Indianapolis come alive before tipoff. It reminded me that sports have a funny way of turning complete strangers into friends. We'll absolutely be back the next time we're headed to Gainbridge.

Our server was friendly and responsive to one member of our group (male) but repeatedly didn't acknowledge another (female). This wasn't a one-time thing, it happened several times over the course of our visit, and it came across as dismissive. As for the drinks: beer prices were nice and cheap, but the margarita was on the expensive side and not really worth it. The place seems geared toward bigger dinner crowds, which may be why a two-person drinks-only table didn't get much attention, but being essentially ignored isn't a great look either way. We wouldn't return. 2/5.

Turns out the entire heated patio is first come, first served, and we were seated almost immediately. It was one of those windy Indiana afternoons where the cold finds every gap in your jacket. I fully expected to spend lunch shivering. Somehow, the heated patio felt warmer than the restaurant itself. Between the TVs, football on every screen, and the patio heaters, we had zero complaints. Now let's talk about the famous pepperoni-stuffed breadsticks. They're a must. And order your own nacho cheese. Seriously. Don't expect anyone to share. I could eat a shoe dipped in their cheese and probably enjoy every bite. The breadsticks always arrive piping hot, stuffed with gooey mozzarella, and if we're judging on a cheese-pull scale...I'm giving them a solid 7/10 on the stretch meter. As for our server, Zach...what a true gem. He's one of those people I'd honestly be surprised to hear anyone say they didn't like. Funny, quick with the jokes, and somehow kept up with the chaos without missing a beat. He also made sure my lemon drop martinis never had a chance to get lonely. Since I wasn't driving, he happily assisted me in...staying hydrated. The place was busy enough that we couldn't stand around chatting long, but he's the kind of person you'd genuinely enjoy running into again. We've been here twice now, and both visits have been consistently great. Whether you're stopping in to catch the game, escape the cold on the heated patio, or simply satisfy a craving for those ridiculously good breadsticks, Ale Emporium continues to be one of our favorite spots. Just don't skip the breadsticks...and trust me, order your own cheese. You'll understand after the first bite.

But his manager was TERRIBLE! We didn't catch his name, unfortunately... We had a large group, maybe 15 in total. We had young and old in our party and had three to four tables. They typically don't do table service and make you order from the bar, drinks and food. However, Rex did a great job accommodating a few of our parents who are older. We had a family member in our group who had a cough. The manager came over and stood in front of us all and said, "you have to leave!" You are contaminating our bar and you all have to leave. He is not sick and simply had a deep cough. He has been evaluated a number of times and has been told by FP& ENT, he has been using his vocal cords too much and has caused him to have a cough. He stayed between our tables and there weren't many others in the bar. We basically had most of the bar to ourselves. We asked if he was kidding and he said, no, you must leave our bar. Honestly felt like he is a hypochondriac, and probably shouldn't be in the bartending or management position. The way he made our family member feel and the way he went about the situation was simply poor. If in the area, bypass this bar and support other bars in the area.

There was a sign in front of the business pointing you to turn down a steer for parking; next block there is a huge parking lot but no signs saying you can park there for fowling, BUT, it was abundantly marked that cars will be towed. Since there was nothing else around, I assumed it was the right place and parked. Of course I briskly walked to fowling to inquire if I was in the correct space. I was, whew. Those towers can really work fast. Fowling is in a warehouse with other businesses, hence the name. It is huge. We were on lane 32, I believe so there's at least 32 lanes. There is also a corn hole area. There is a bar where they have a decent variety of adult beverages. I went with 3 Floyd's warpig, a hazy ipa. It was really good. The important aspect of fowling is not eating or drinking there, but to interact with the people your with. Sure you can win a game, but the fun is the game itself and the camaraderie with a drink. Our leader looked up the rules prior and explained them. You take turns throwing a football at bowling pins, one set of pins on each end of the lane. There are two lines to throw from, our group guys threw from back and women from front. I watched a group next to us, both men and women threw from front line, it didn't appear to give anyone an advantage. I don't know if the pizza place is part of fowling or a separate business, but we got pizza from Bonk Pizza. It was ok, it was enough to say we were fed. I'm glad I did this and would go again.

Fowling (noun) fowl-ing: The hunting or trapping of wildfowl…read more Google "fowling definition" and this is what you'll find. Google simply "fowling" and you learn about this odd sport where you combine football and bowling. Just now. Right NOW as I'm writing this, the word fowling finally made (sort of) sense. Football + bowling = fowling. Now I'm even pronouncing the word different with a long "o" sound versus the "ou" diphthong. I had to Google that, too, but once I saw diphthong, I knew it was going in my review. You're welcome for the 5th grade grammar lesson. Please redeem your Pizza Hut personal pan pizza for your hard work. Ok, fowling. It has nothing to do with trapping birds or teaching birds of prey to land on your arm (that's falconry). Nope, it's a game you play with friends and beer. The setup is more like cornhole, but you use bowling pins and throw, that's right, a football. Someone was clearly drunk when this game was invented. But what a great way to bring a group of people together! The Fowling Warehouse specializes in the game of fowling, but has several other activities to enjoy as a group: pool, darts, a few arcade games and a golf simulator. I may go back just for the golf simulator. This is the real deal, a full Trackman set up. It was pretty sweet. Those simulators can be a little intimidating at the PGA Superstore, but it's tucked away in the corner at the Fowling Warehouse where you can shank balls and not feel like a fool. Mostly. There are also two bars and you can order pizza and boneless wings. The bar has a nice selection of beers on tap. They use the magnet cup system where the cup fills from the bottom. My favorite thing was seeing multiple signs on the bar that warn you that if you push the bottom of the cup, you will get wet! And I smiled devilishly thinking about curious people testing their luck with the cups and losing every time. For me, I enjoyed a couple glasses of this blood orange IPA. Delicious and refreshing. The Fowling Warehouse isn't exactly my jam, but I think it's the kind of place that is perfect for a certain crowd who enjoys games and likes a new challenge. And they can handle a large party! If you are looking to try a new sport that feels like it was invented by someone who lost a bet, this place is for you! I kid, but the Warehouse is nice and clean and large! The service was good and everyone seemed to have a great time. Seems like a pretty good spot for your next party if games are your thing! Please note: No birds were injured during the writing of this review.
