They are terrible. From the girls answering the phones to the techs. The first 2 techs came out to explain my situation and fixed nothing. They couldn't even get rid of all of the webs all around my house. I called to have another visit for someone to get rid of the webs which were everywhere. He never called, just showed up and claimed his phone wasn't working. He left after just a few minutes and I still had webs everywhere. They somehow thought I had called about spiders so I asked him to go in my shed which has webs on everything. He told me he couldn't find any (did you even open the door??) and said he got the webs on the outside. Again, I went out side and saw all of the webs he had left behind. I spent about an hour outside yesterday clearing off all of the webs all over my house in the heat. I have heart conditions and high blood pressure and that is why I need help! I don't needless mindless people that could care less about the job they are doing. read more

I'm the neighbor of a customer who's Fox Pest Control providers consistently spread their poisons (yes, they are poisons) far into my yard and have been caught spraying chemicals toward my dog who watches at the fence. Though I can't prove it, my dog is slowly loosing its sight due to eye issues that the specialist can't determine the cause. I think it's the ignorance or stupidity of this companies workers to not apply safe standards, proper training nor respect property lines. Over a year as a customer, and they cannot have a solution for the problem. Every time I call, they sent a different "technician" which has no idea of what they are looking for. I have mice, here and there, in the basement and they only put traps... but don't even look for the root cause of it. If I could give zero stars, I would. I received several morning of or mid-day reschedule changes after I had rearranged work obligations to be home for the appointment. I had to have them come out 5 different times on top of the 2 initial days to complete the work promised. The lack of coordination and communication was ridiculous. I had clover mites all over my pool. On the edges, on the diving board and on the furniture. Ethan of Fox Pest Control came to the house, evaluated them since he was concerned about chemicals going into my pool. He did make some calls and came up with a plan. The next day 90% of them were gone!! A week later 99.9% were totally gone. My pool chemicals were fine and he went over an above to help my situation. Fox Pest really puts their best foot forward when you first deal with them but if you do not keep adding more services the service they provide goes way down. Most of the time they visit your home they will not make themselves known and will bill you for full service without actually entering the home. They will treat the outside and hope you don't complain. When you do complain they blame the technician and other employees for not using the notes and do no provide refunds. And I started with this company in 2019, they were attentive, consistent, and easy to communicate with. But this year things have gone so badly that I had to cancel my service. They would cancel appointments, reschedule appointments less than 24 hours in advance, and then cancel again. Then when I try to cancel my service, they did not follow through. Then they scheduled their own service appointment for me, which I canceled. Then I canceled all services, and they billed me $168. This company is become very disappointing. I would give 0 stars if that was an option. I have had fox for a couple of years. Never have had an issue. I was up for routine service by Joshua at Fox. He sent me a message that he would be there in 5 minutes. I spent my entire Saturday morning waiting for the service. 11 am I receive an email that the service was completed. He never showed up at my home. In the email that was sent to me had pictures of someone else's home. I called customer service. They are only willing to give a month of service for free. I think it's a joke. I wonder how many other people this has happened too? read more

This is literally the last thing I wanted to do. I've been trying to cancel my contract right after the first service. Why? - The salesperson promised one thing and didn't deliver. (Vole issues/ no problem, Hornets nests, yeah we can fix that) - It's a subscription model but they can only service you after 2 weeks because the poison is not set. Oh and are not available all the time (salesperson will say otherwise). - They charged me $125 for the first time and then $45 for every month even if you don't get service. - I've been trying to cancel for two months and have been charged $90. Now they want to actually cancel my service for $150 with no pro-rate. I've paid $215 for a one-time service. They have been persistent about fixing their errors but I just want my money back. This is the worst experience with a company. NEVER AGAIN. read more

My review is two fold- the technicians are always knowledgeable, reliable, and very helpful. That is the only reason they are getting two stars. The office systems and procedures are where everything goes south. Pretty much every month they mess up our billing and harass me via text and email saying my account is past due when in reality they applied the payment to the wrong account. It literally happens almost every month. Now, I called to schedule my quarterly appointment and was told the services I was already receiving are now extra cost. No notification of contract changes, no phone call, email, or text. Just an expectation that I will receive less services or pay more. They have no problem harassing me all month about a misapplied payment but cannot bother contacting me when the contracted services I agreed to will not be happening and my pricing will be going up. Either I'm getting old or these guys are really good, because I constantly find myself saying, "Man, I love my exterminators!" I hired Fox Pest about a year ago when I had a carpenter bee infestation. They had a guarantee that if the first treatment didn't get rid of them, they'd come again for free. After a few days I still saw some carpenter bees hanging out, so they came a second time -- problem solved! I ended up buying the annual (quarterly installment) treatment to help make sure they wouldn't come back (it also helps with spiders). I got it partially because my first experience went so well, but honestly, it's because these guys are so dang FRIENDLY to work with! I've seen some negative reviews on here, but honestly every interaction I've ever had with anyone from Fox has been nothing less than delightful. I actually look forward to their call about my quarterly service because I know they're so cheerful to talk with on the phone. (Again, either I'm getting old or getting weird!) I honestly have nothing negative to say about these guys, and would recommend them in a heartbeat. read more

It's never fun to have yellowjackets who made their home underground by your foundation and your door, particularly when we never had had any pest control issue at all in the past. But it's a lot better when your pest control guy comes over and resolves it permanently in a few minutes! It's been a week and they are nowhere to be seen. The only downside was that they weren't immediately available but that's certainly the price to pay for such great and efficient service. Thankfully the yellowjacket hadn't found their way into the house, so we could stay put a bit. STEER AWAY from Fox Pest Control. Initially, we were recommended to them by a gentleman who had been dealing with his own pest issue, so I did not hesitate to call them when we encountered a mice issue in our new home. I signed up for their initial treatment, where they were to inspect the home for rodent entry points, set traps, etc. I got two traps and no inspection. No entry points were identified. I even asked him if we should be identifying entry points and he told me mice can fit through holes the size of a dime, so there were entry points everywhere..... Ummm... Isn't that what you are here for?? He assured me the two traps with bait would attract mice from far away and kill them once they ate the bait. No mice expert here, but why are we trying to attract more mice, yet have not identified and resolved the issue of where they are entering my home? So I'm now inviting mice to my home where they can roam free and clear. YIKES! I wish I was kidding. I even asked him if he wanted to go into the basement because I heard them in there. Nope, again assured me the trap he put in my kitchen cabinet would attract them to come upstairs. I proceeded to contact them after the technician left and express my dissatisfaction with the treatment. After no returned phone call from the representative, I explained the situation to, I proceeded to send them an email communication to cancel the contract I had entered into and return the initial treatment fee. She called me two days later and cancelled my contract, but said they could not return the initial treatment fee because he had completed service in my home even if it was not to my satisfaction. Let me tell you what he did: He sprayed the home outside for bugs, he removed a hornet's nest from the back of the home, he wiped cobwebs from the outside of the home (halfway because he claimed the brush was wet and he would come back). Once that was done, he proceeded into the home to address the mice. I showed him a crawl space. He placed a trap. Then he asked where else, I told him we found some remnants in the cabinet, but also felt I heard them in the basement. He placed trap in the cabinet and said they would come up from basement anyways. If you're still following... I'm almost done, but it gets worse. When I spoke to the person who cancelled my contract and explained my reasoning, she told me the technician stated that there were too many entry points into the home for the mice and I would likely need a carpenter to close off where they were coming in from outside. Do you think the technician ever mentioned that to me? NOPE. Do you think he showed me said entry points? NOPE. The lady on the phone mentioned the technician even admitted he did not have the copper mesh to close anything off and he offered to go into the basement, but said I declined because I didn't think anything was down there. WOW.... This company is a nightmare. I agree with other commenters that they are not equipped properly to handle the issues they tend to. How did he come without copper mesh, when I specifically called them for mice? Your choice. I would avoid the headache. Wasted time and money unfortunately. read more

We've had Fox for years. Started out as a local company, great service , nice results. Then they sold out to a company in Utah. The techs are still nice and polite, but the service has diminished to virtually nothing. The don't treat the whole house, only "hot spots". Exactly where is that? They will, if asked treat specific areas...a quick squirt with the sprayer. The treatment of the whole house used to take about a half hour. Now they are gone in about 8 minutes. The bugs are back. This company lies and puts your health at risk to try to make a sale. They were going door to door in my neighborhood without masks during a pandemic. Very pushy saleswoman, who said that lots of my neighbors were using them and they would be in the neighborhood and suggested we buy their service as well. Lo and behold, after discussion with my neighbors, none of them used Fox, and didn't know anyone else who had, but all heard the same pitch. Was not surprised to see other reviews like this on yelp. Do not sign a contract with this company for rodent issues. I hired them for a bee problem and a mice problem. The bees they got rid of quickly and easily. The mice issue is another one entirely. Their employee came out and set a total of 4 traps, pointed out a few areas where the mice could be getting in, asked WHERE MY HUSBAND WAS, and that was it. I'm a divorced woman who owns her own home. I anticipated that, for $45/month over TWO years, that there would be more assistance than a few traps set (something I had already done myself). Then they have the gal to spam me with phone calls trying to sell me on some termite prevention extra cost services. How about you actually help with the issue I hired you for??? The mice problem continues, even worse than before they came out. None of their traps resulted in anything, my cats do a better job at catching the mice. Also, as others have mentioned, I had them cancel appointments on me for "emergencies" as well. It's no wonder they have an ironclad contract, I can't imagine they could keep any business without it. read more

Two stars because I've found the technicians to be pleasant and helpful and, I assume, do a good job. BUT... Would otherwise be 1 star because of the awful office/customer service experience. I eventually determined there wasn't enough value in the subscription and asked to cancel. I GUARANTEE YOU WILL BE GIVEN A HARD TIME WHEN YOU TRY AND STOP SERVICE. The first person wouldn't do it and said they needed their manager to call me back - I think we all know where this is going. I then spoke with the manager and they wouldn't do it, saying my final service needed to be performed and then I should text to cancel. So i waited, set a reminder, and did that, and now they still wouldn't cancel, instead calling me again and straight up refuse to cancel my service unless i explained to them why I wanted to do it (at this point I was upset and would not repeat for a third time my reasons). The woman on the phone literally told me "No, I won't" when i told her to just cancel it without a reason. I was pretty mad at this point and, I guess regrettably, loud on the phone - to the point where she must have been adequately scared enough to say she would cancel. We'll see - I'll be monitoring my credit card because I don't trust them. Insane. That may be the most trouble I've ever had stopping a service. Would never go back to Fox if I need service in the future, nor would I ever recommend them. I don't see how this is a good business practice. read more

We spent $1,000 to have baits set for voles for the year because we were desperate to get rid of these things. Technicians came out three times in the first month to check the bait, then never returned. The techs were very nice and seemed to do a good job. However, I expected them to return throughout the year to check the boxes and make sure everything was working as it was supposed to. Now, voles are running all over our yard, causing damage, and my service has expired. I feel like there was fine print in this service plan - I have to call a technician before my service lapses to make sure there is still bait in all the traps, even if there is currently no damage. I trusted the techs to maintain the boxes they set up. Now we are out the money and still have the same exact problem. What a waste of money. read more

We called Fox Pest Control because we had a hornets' nest in a tree in our front yard. Nest was about the size of a soccer ball. On July 29 exterminator came to destroy the nest. Cost $220. On July 30 we noticed a nest the size of a baseball had been left. Exterminator had not done his job. So we called Fox. They promised to send an exterminator (no extra charge) the following week. On the day before the appointment Fox called to say they were going to charge us extra for the service. We told them their employee had not done his job (getting rid of the nest). To no avail. About 15 years ago we had a nest the size of a basketball in our back yard. I forget who we called, but the exterminator killed the nest, and allowed us to take pictures of it before he placed it in his truck. Job done. I would not recommend Fox. I gave them one star only because I cannot give no stars (apparently). I'm appalled at such business practice. In 84 years on this planet, I have never given a negative report before. read more

I finally spoke with someone and explained my issue and that I'd like to cancel service (I'm no longer under contract) they said they would pass along my info and someone would call me back. That was 2 weeks ago and now it's august 1st and guess what?... I just got another charge from fox pest. Bug service may be ok but the customer service is the worst I've ever dealt with. He had me take pictures of the wasp and send to his phone so he could show his supervisor because he said he wanted another person to help. So No, he did not treat the areas and I called him to let him know what your company was doing and he said you won't take his calls and he never filled anything out. After paying $55/month for them to simply lay two traps in my house each time they came (3 times across the life of our service which has lasted quite awhile) to which the problem was not solved, we made the decision to not waste our money anymore and cancel to go elsewhere. My wife called twice, and the salesperson convinced her both times to keep the service. She said they were extremely persistent, so I decided to see for myself. I called and simply asked to cancel our service. We'll pay the early termination fee, whatever ($150 by the way...). The salesperson WOULD NOT CANCEL my subscription until I literally had to threaten to call the BBB and report them for keeping my money hostage. I very politely asked about 10 times that I appreciate their service but I would simply like to cancel. She would not cancel and said she wants to talk about it first. She even suggested we hang up and have a conversation another day to give me some time to re-think my decision. This type of service should be borderline illegal - if the customer wants to cancel, just cancel it. I shouldn't have had to ask about 10-15 times and threaten to call the BBB before this is handled. Mind you - I have never left a negative review anywhere before given that I don't want to shine a negative light on anybody's hard earned business. That said, do yourself a favor, and DO NOT use this company. There are plenty of competitors in the area who do just as good of a job but also have superior customer service.
