Took my vehicle in about a drive-line vibration that had all new parts in it all ready; Pat talked me into changing the center support bearing and gave me the OEM part #; I ordered it, returned the vehicle and they replaced the new one with an OEM replacement. Pat told me the vibration was corrected (lie 1). other issues, to boot. Plain and simple go to another, REPUTABLE, place. I wonder about all those vehicles sitting on the left side of the business; could those be vehicles owned by prior customers, and now in the possession of Fox Plaza? They also loosened the alternator belt and it stranded on me (drained the battery DEAD), causing 2 tow jobs before I went to Harris QUON who found the problem and fixed it (tightened belt for a VERY reasonable price. We recently brought my wife's car in for a tire install, balance, and alignment, for those services we were given competitive pricing. While the car was there we also asked them to change the oil. (My fault for not asking for a quote up front) We typically pay $50 at a local garage or $77-$99 from the Lexus dealer (with a loaner car!) the bill for this service was $130! I brought up the price difference to the owner, he explained to me that they are not necessarily worried about being price competitive, and that he has low employee turnover and good mechanics! Nice people, but I would do some cost comparison before having any work done. read more

Had new control arm bushings put in my car. They didn't give me a hassle about bringing in my own parts (I wanted better than stock), they priced it very competitively, and came in below their estimate. Easy to deal with, very happy with the work. I have a couple of scratches to talk to them about, but basically they did a good job at a fair price. read more

I am from out of town and brought my truck in from a reference a parts distributor conveyed. A breath of fresh air when you find mechanics that are honest. I cant say enough. I had the ford dealership wanting to replace all kinds of hardware and costing thousands. Fox Plaza assessed, tightened bolts, recommended DIY work and then did a follow up call for a rebate. NO ONE does this anymore. They have my loyalty so long as that crew is there. My hats off to David, gentlemen that dropped me off at the job site, and the other mechanics. Collierville, TN Service King location had my vehicle for 45 days. I learned after the fact that they did not repair mechanical work but rather farmed it out. In my case they referred the work to Fox Plaza Automotive in Collierville. I had to return the vehicle due to noises coming from around the repair area. Service King again asked me to take it back to Fox Plaza Automotive. (holder in due course anyone?)Fox Plaza Automotive completed a "reinspection" and stated it was not damage related, even though the items they cited came from the damage area?? Poor initial quality inspection by an obviously inexperienced staff at both Service King and Fox Plaza Automotive. They certainly had 45 days to get it right and failed. I have been advised by my insurance provider now to take it to another shop for a second opinion read more

HORRIBLE. I took my car in about three months ago for new struts. They told me the would also do an alignment. Immediately I could tell the car was pulling to the right. Unfortunately I could not address it at the time. Recently I was in a minor accident that cracked a rear wheel. I opted to replace them all at another place. At the time I asked them to align it. The front tie rod was ceased. Had been for a while. There was absolutely no way Fox Auto could have done an alignment like they said (and like they charged me for). On other visits i have had work quoted and after being done, the price has never been met My company uses Fox Auto exclusively for their fleet. I will be letting them know of this ordeal and strongly urging them to move their business elsewhere. read more

BBB Verified Reviewer I know this facility has had a fantastic reputation for many years, and with our family as well over the years but the following is simply despicable!!!!!! My 82 year old Mother lives in Memphis and owns my 2003 Cadillac Seville, which I formally owned and serviced since 2004. I currently live in Nashville, TN. I've been servicing Cadillac vehicles since 1993. She trusted this business for service complaining of interior heating issues. The car showed a code indicating improper coolant temperature however this was NOT the issue at hand as the heater inside would still function with reduced coolant temperature. The issue was that of a control nature with the automatic climate control blending system of which this facility apparently is NOT qualified to diagnose or repair . . . . the central AC controller is a known failure issue in these vehicles and this was the initial problem for malfunction, NOT the thermostat. So, instead of fixing the main complaint this facility "guessed" at the problem solution and changed the main engine thermostat. Then to discover the nature of the charges was disgusting! I don't have a problem paying for reputable work if there is a sustained and corrected issue however Fox Plaza misdiagnosed the problem then charged $531.80 (double what ****************** quoted for the same job) for an engine thermostat change that did not fix the original complaint. They also charged a diagnostic fee which is usually waived if you elect to have the issue serviced. I certainly have a problem with all of this!! The car left Fox Plaza Auto Service 531.80 later with the same issue my Mother trusted them to repair. Rather than say "we cannot fix your issue Ms. ******" these guys elected to take advantage of an issue with the elderly. As with any other mother that's 82, mine is no saint I'll just tell you now and she can be ornery for sure!!! . . . . but taking advantage of a situation by a repair facility on the elderly that did NOT correct the issue is 100% unacceptable at ANY angle. A call to the owner, Ed S**** from me in Nashville was nonchalantly dismissed . . . he wasn't rude but even tho I busted his work, he seemed to care less and offered no resolution whatsoever.
