Wow...what a hidden gem. This deli has been officially added to my downtown lunch rotation. I had heard great things about this deli and thought I would give them a try. So glad I did! Just a short walk from downtown to the historic Belmont Casket Building you will fine this little deli on the first floor. I challenge you to find a place downtown that offers the food quality they do at this price. I got a delicious sandwich-Spicy Cuban Pete's-for get this...$5.50. It was made fresh right in front of me and was delicious. They have so many items on the menu and all are made fresh and very reasonably priced. They have a nice breakfast and lunch selection-even some very nice vegetarian selections. The service was exceptional. The staff was very polite and took the time to prepare my sandwich as I requested. They also take the time to care for the deli. It is very clean and well stacked with other side and snack items. There are a few tables to sit just outside the deli area. You can also grab and go back to the office, or enjoy your items outside in the park or Arena District. I look forward to many more return visits for lunch. read more

I was attending an evening training session where a light dinner was being provided. I always fear that the standard pizza or pasta or such will be served. Boy was I happy when I saw the HUGE bowl of salad that was presented. There were all sorts of fixings - with strips of chicken and dressings available on the side. I snagged a plate and started loading it up. I saw goat cheese, dried cranberries, avocado, sunflower seeds and lots of halved cherry tomatoes included in the mix. I was truly in heaven. It was so flavorful and moist that no dressing was needed. I was not shy and went back for seconds, reloading my plate. When I asked who had catered our meal, I was told it was the Belmont Deli. It definitely made the session a lot more enjoyable to sit through it on a full stomach! read more

I mean, usually I dont care about things like this. But. Come on man. The lady who runs it refuses to wear gloves while she makes anything. I watched as she grabbed each veggie barehanded and then proceeded to take payment from another customer. Then her newly cash invested hand dipped into the cheese for my omelette. Then she texted on her phone. And then crafted a wrap for the paying customer. All barehanded. The prices are incredible. The food is good (if not tainted.) Everyone else there wears gloves. Except for the owner. Just. Please. For everyone. Wear gloves. It's a health code violation I'm certain. This Is why the nickname for The Belmont is The Dirty Deli. read more

Decent good food, cheap. You can get wraps, salad, and more cheaper than you could at other places in Downtown, Cbus. Also great for those businesses on the west side of downtown. It's on the ground level of an office building. I got all of this for how much?! What a great value. I went to Belmont Deli for the first time today and ordered the Grilled Chicken Salad with everything. It was delicious. Fresh romaine, grilled chicken heated up, yellow peppers, banana pepper rings, carrots, cucumber, craisins, mushrooms, black olives, sunflower seeds...and I might have forgotten a few things. I found Belmont Deli on Yelp today so I thought I would give it a try. I had the salmon burger with a side salad. The burger was put together while I waited and the added the toppings I wanted. The side salad was not a prepackaged salad, they put it together when I ordered it. They have a wide selection of items that they can put on your salad. I have been eating at this deli for over 4 years now; sometimes every day of the week for weeks at a time. Being on the first floor of an office building, it is incredibly convenient; but the selection, service, price, and quality of food take Caroline's deli far past everyday convenience. Belmont Deli is inside the Belmont Building at 330 W. Spring St. The place is run by Caroline. It's a small deli staffed by two or three folks who are all super friendly and eager to please their customers. I love their fresh salads made to order, but they have some really good sandwiches too. The best sandwich is the triple-decker club. Prices are very fair and the staff will usually learn your name after a few visits! The lines can get kind of long right at noon, but the service is quick and always with a smile. They have breakfast options including bagels, and omelets in a bowl. Caroline's (Belmont Deli) is wonderful little eatery. It's literally like stepping into Caroline's home kitchen. I have had several things on the menu, but I always opt for the salmon salad with everything on it. We're talking pine nuts, craisins, feta cheese, soy beans, fresh greens, every little thing you would want on a robust salad, and Caroline's special vinaigrette dressing. And it's five bucks! I absolutely LOVE the Belmont Deli (Caroline's). I am a very picky eater and this food is superb...EVERYTHING I have had from the Reuben, the veggie pasta salad (hot), salads (anyway you like it, made right in front of you), homemade soups (split pea), down to the sweet tea!!! I rant and rave to everyone I know. The kicker for me is that I can get a sandwich (full), half a salad and a sweet tea (homemade) for $6. There is nowhere in the Arena District where you can get a sandwich for $6 let alone a full meal. The staff is excellent as well. If you have not been, get there, you will not regret it :o) read more
