Secret sleeper dive bar off Magnolia. So glad I went. There isn't a menu posted on yelp for a reason, it's a dive bar...they'll make anything you want. I'll tell you the bloodies are $7.50 and that's all you need to know. Rhonda is a nice bartender that makes you feel like family. Will be back to get wasted

Lively and filled to the brim with humans on a rainy Saturday afternoon. We got there at 3pm and some people were so drunk they could hardly walk. The bathroom was one stall only and when I went inside the woman outside waiting started kicking the door and yelling.... It seemed like a lot of locals come here as several people seemed to know each other. It's really dark inside and a bit stuffy. The drinks were very strong and I could see why some patrons were already past the limit. One man was spinning around on his chair at the bar and the man next to us was so intoxicated he couldn't focus his eyes and was talking to himself. Overall I did enjoy my time there, as it was a very nice date.

Very casual dive bar to go to for a beer after work with friends. Karaoke nights are fun.

It's ok. Bartender is usually friendly and drinks are well made. It's a mosh pit of locals and an interesting dive bar.

Solid dive bar. I can see why it's a go to for a lot of people in the studio city area! Great beer selection and service is quick.

Valley Village staple. Exactly what you want out of a dive bar: cheap drinks, chill people and heavy pours.

It's smaller than I expected with more outdoor seating than indoor, so be aware during summer time and I'd recommend mosquito repellent! We did not make a reservation (I do recommend if you want indoor seating on busy nights) but we came at 4 pm and got a table that was reserved at 9 pm so we got to sit until we left that table at ~8:30 pm. We loved the indoor tiki decor and thought the whole vibe of the place was so cute and charming and we did appreciate some of the other customers who dressed up in Tiki style clothing as well. We did get dropped off/picked up but there's theoretical street parking out front for your DD (drink responsibly!!). They had a summer drinks special menu and we got the TBD and the Pure Imagination, I preferred the pure imagination. But our absolute favorite drink was the Nutty Chi Chi, a vodka blend on a classic Piña Colada! They don't serve food themselves but there is a taco stand out back after ~6pm that takes cash + card (card fee!) and will drop off food to your table. Such a fun night and looking forward to coming around again!

When we walked in, we had our ID checked by the security that was sitting in the front. My husband and I stopped in on a Sunday for a quick drink before a movie, and the "vibe" was non-existent. They have four TVs at the bar, but the setup was bizarre, two were completely off and another was just frozen on a directory logo. The biggest issue, however, is the cleanliness--or lack thereof. The place is incredibly dirty. It feels like it hasn't had a deep clean in weeks, maybe longer. The bar top was disgusting, the floors were grimy, and even the woodwork looked like it hadn't seen a rag since opening day. They are charging $17 for "signature cocktails," which is bold for a spot that feels like a neglected dive bar. If you're going to charge premium prices, you have to at least wipe down the countertops. Service-wise, the bartender was friendly enough but low energy and minimal level of service. To make matters worse, a shift change happened while we were there, and the departing bartender made us close out our check and start a brand-new one with the next person. Why should the staff's administrative hand-off be the customer's issue? It's just unprofessional. The Valley has so many actual dive bars with character and plenty of high-end spots for a great cocktail; I'm not sure where this place is trying to fit in. It feels like someone bought it and just stopped caring. We won't be back.

Love how often the menu is updated! Always exciting to revisit!…read more Smoked Trout Tostada - Flavorful Indian spices are impressively deep and harmonize with smoked trout so well. Crispy papadan and creamy dressing add perfect texture. One of the best things I've had in a while, WOW! Bluefin Tuna Carpaccio - Ingredients blend flawlessly...clean, but nuanced. Like the subtle decadence of avocado. Delicate balance of fresh ingredients sings. Bright tomato and mild texture works. Doesn't need to be innovative since it's done so competently. Saag Burrata - One bite of the creamy saag is enough to float home on a pillow! All I want lol but the burrata, cilantro, and herbed toast do assist without taking away. The highest class spinach dip you've ever had omg! Got some skewers from Vey in Back...the use of fresh mint with steak was brilliant. Harissa elevated chicken hearts, but there was a bit too much going on. Freezer Greenpoint - hesitated by the $31 but went for it after talking to bartender and I gotta say, it feels like it's worth the money.

5* Food 4* Ambiance…read more5* Service After two years, this dive continues to serve food to impress and drinks that hit all the right notes. This dark, hole-in-the-wall bar serves excellent drinks and innovative twists on classics, with Oy Bar's special touch to make this a unique SFV find. Their staple wagyu pastrami quesadillas have a pronounced comforting cheese flavor with a touch of jalapeño bite. The tortilla has an interesting texture, one which I'm not sure I liked or disliked as it appeared dry, even with the fatty pastrami. The Peruvian scallop sashimi was fresh, with layers of flavor and textures from the passion fruit sauce, cavior and thinly sliced red peppers. The cured salmon yaki onigiri is rice heavy; the salmon was fresh and beautifully dressed. We also had the mango rum ice cream which was perhaps my least favorite order. The rum was heavy and made the ice cream slightly bitter and the mango flavors was masked.
