Secret sleeper dive bar off Magnolia. So glad I went. There isn't a menu posted on yelp for a reason, it's a dive bar...they'll make anything you want. I'll tell you the bloodies are $7.50 and that's all you need to know. Rhonda is a nice bartender that makes you feel like family. Will be back to get wasted

Lively and filled to the brim with humans on a rainy Saturday afternoon. We got there at 3pm and some people were so drunk they could hardly walk. The bathroom was one stall only and when I went inside the woman outside waiting started kicking the door and yelling.... It seemed like a lot of locals come here as several people seemed to know each other. It's really dark inside and a bit stuffy. The drinks were very strong and I could see why some patrons were already past the limit. One man was spinning around on his chair at the bar and the man next to us was so intoxicated he couldn't focus his eyes and was talking to himself. Overall I did enjoy my time there, as it was a very nice date.

I went for Shyboy pizza and stayed for darts! Best dart machine I've seen! Pizza is served Wednesdays and Sundays only. It was very tasty and well-prepared. Rick has fabulous service and a nice guy who is passionate about food. I had a drink and it was very affordable. The crowd was very local. Everyone I encountered was nice. Bar staff were attentive, kind, and professional. Parking was easy.

Sunday 3pm, this place was on fire! Bigger crowd than expected, probably because of Football season. It was awesome nonetheless. I'll be back unannounced soon, and see what the vibe is like during primetime.

It's ok. Bartender is usually friendly and drinks are well made. It's a mosh pit of locals and an interesting dive bar.

This 1965 established San Fernando Valley spot is a good time, with an jukebox, classic cocktails, tons of good seating, a nice patio, easy-going bartenders, darts and more. They were under an updating period and were closed for a bit, it doesn't seem like much changed if anything, but I know locals and passers through are grateful for this 60 year old dive lounge bar. They still have limited parking in a shared plaza lot, but you can get lucky here, on the street, metered off Woodman, less restrictions on residential streets. Full bar, including wine and a super variety of beers from craft to imported to domestic. See their too cool for school beer menu chalkboard with the latest and greatest each month. Ask about their seasonal brews. Enjoy seating via couches, booths and/or chairs. Cozy and the dim lighting is intimate and never too much of an adjustment from the light outside. They do card everyone, even this almost forty year old with my youthfulness lol. Stopped in for the first time in a long time for a nightcap with some colleagues - a nice peanut butter whiskey coke, cheers and great tunes + music videos on their awesome flatscreens throughout. Chimneysweep is very much a locals bar, but they are truly kind to any and all. They've hosted birthdays, paint and drink nights, karaoke and even are filming friendly supporting creatives in LA. Restrooms are clean and rideshare is easy for when you call it a night as well as arrive #DrinkResponsibly It's great prices, cool divey vibes and classic SFV times. They…read morehave a tiki marketplace several times a year, and this one was held on a Sunday afternoon from noon to 6pm. It takes place mostly in their rear patio area and parking lot, but a good number of vendors were also in an adjacent air conditioned event room. They have a very small parking lot, but it was occupied by vendors during this event. Do not park in the parking lots of the adjacent businesses, as we were warned when entering the Tonga Hut that cars get towed regularly. There's plenty of street parking in the nearby neighborhood. Entering from the rear, there is a good sized covered patio with around eight benches. We went inside to check it out and grab a drink. The interior is fairly small with four good sized booths, a lounge area with a large J-shaped couch with several small tables, and around ten seats at the bar. It is dimly lit with some basic tiki décor, and has an old-school feel. They had a fixed cocktail menu for this event which is understandable. We stood in line at the bar for about ten minutes, got our drinks and went out to the patio. The bartender was friendly, and didn't seem flustered by the high volume of patrons. I had the Horned Beast O' The Celtic Sea (Oceanus Hibernicus Irish Malt, Jamacian Rum, House Made Falernum & Orgeat, Peach, Citrus, Dash of Cherry Heering, $13). She had the Leprechaun Grog (Three Rums, Lime, Grapefruit, Honey, Spice, Soda, $14). Both drinks were good, were served in souvenir plastic cups, and were a bargain at $13 to $14. If you ordered a drink containing Oceanus whiskey, the bartender gave you a gold coin and you could exchange it with the Oceanus representative on the patio for a free T-shirt. Durango Tacos was setup near the rear entrance for food. We had four tacos (two carne asada and two veggie), and they were good and reasonably priced. This was the first tiki marketplace we have attended. There were around twenty vendors with a good assortment of art work, tiki mugs, tiki clothing, tiki décor, and other miscellaneous items. I purchased a few nice tiki shirts which were a steal at $20 and $25. The vendors and visitors were all very friendly and in a festive mood. We hung out for about ninety minutes and had a good time. We will return at some point to try their regular cocktail menu and see what it's like on a non-event night.

Sometimes they have servers, other times you order at the bar. The last time I went, there was a long line as only one bartender was making drinks, yikes! Each bartender also has their own "secret menu" specials that only they can make. The decor is very on theme, and they have a fire pit and heaters outside for when it is chilly.

We grabbed two spots at the bar and had wonderful service from Francis and friends. It was greta to see their banter and Francis experimenting with some cocktails. JIm G. enjoyed the What's Up Doc? ($18), whiuch was mezcal, aperol, carrot-shrub, and lime. My friend and I went family style for two. We shared everything and ordered like there was no tomorrow! Here's what we stuffed our faces with: Shrimp & Chicken wontons - good shrimp & chicken mixture inside, the wrapper was a bit underdone for my liking. Seems like they were trying to be "al dente" but for me, wontons wrappers should be soft & silky. Bigger crispy garlic or crispy shallots would have been great on this. Scallops - not sure which we ordered. There were two on the menu, one on the regular and the other on the "Vey in the back" grill menu. Whichever we got was a nice super light fresh dish. I needed a little more salt, maybe salmon roe instead. Rock fish crudo - this sauce was THE BEST sauce of the night. The dikon and radish were sliced perfectly thin and provided just enough crunch to the dish. Fried vermillion rock fish collar - the chayote tendril addition to the sauce was epic. It brought a completely different flavor that I've never had to my palette. The chef achieved perfection with the crispy skin on this one. Cured Salmon Onigiri - I liked it but wanted to like it more! To be fair, I'm half Japanese, so I'm being uber critical. I was expecting a crispier shell and smokier flavor on the onigiri. The middle of the onigiri rice ball needed furikake mixed throughout. Koji-marinated skirt steak yakiniku - flavors were all spot on. The lettuce wrap and veggies were nice and fresh. My complaint is the chewiness of the steak and I'm a gristle fan but this was tough to take a bite without yanking it away from my mouth. OyBurger - this was a PHENOMENAL burger. The standout was the flavor and texture of the patty. They seasoned this perfectly! This was my favorite dish of the night (minus dessert, I love dessert) Tequila Sunrise Popsicle - tangy and sweet, super refreshing, this is going to be the "go to" all summer. Cherimoya sorbet - what a great new flavor to bring to dessert. It had a slight papaya essence to it. We loved this dessert too! Street parking wasn't too tough. It was a short walk around the corner. No reservations, walk in and take your chances. We got there around 6:30 on a Friday evening and got seated right away. Our server Brooklyn was a killer server. She needs to be my server every time I come in now!!!
