The valley is in need of a decent club, especially since City Walk has lost its nightlife appeal. This opens up an opportunity for someone to step in, but for now, we have to make do with what's available. Rain is one of the few remaining options in the valley, and while the competition isn't strong--Elevation in Van Nuys isn't really a contender, and Club Cobra serves a different crowd--Rain does the job. That said, Rain isn't the best club either. If you're in the valley and want something local, it's a decent choice. The venue is spacious, with good music on Saturdays, usually featuring popular hits. If you're just looking to dance and enjoy drinks with friends, it's perfectly fine. However, I wouldn't recommend it for anyone coming from outside the valley; it doesn't match the vibrant party scenes found in LA or other cities, but it fulfills the basic clubbing need. To make the most of your experience, I suggest getting on the guest list and arriving before 10:30 PM for free entry--it's $10 after that, but who doesn't like free? You can relax with a drink until the crowd starts to arrive around 11. Drink prices are standard, around $15, but they have a limited selection of beers, mainly traditional Mexican ones. If you're into craft beers or IPAs, you won't find them here. Overall, is it the best club? Not really, but it's a good option when you want to stay local and don't want to travel far. Until something better comes along, it serves its purpose. We had a good time there. read more

This venue is a gem!! We threw an event here last month and the owner Vlad was the most helpful. Their bar staff was on point and took care of is the whole night. Guest service from Alexa the terrible guest entry agent who is above the law from California law she refuses to provide receipt upon entry this leads me to believe that they are misrepresenting the amount of cash that comes in through the business and embezzling funds. They cannot provide records of any finance transactions I wouldn't be surprised if they did some other funny business. I would not return and not recommend to any LGBTQ+ community. read more

Went for the first time recently for someone's birthday. Everyone in our group were salsa dancers. Our whole group loved the vibe, most in my group are regulars for their bachata/salsa nights. I don't know if it was the night or what, but there was a good amount of people there but not so many that it was packed and difficult to dance which I appreciated. Charlie, the MC/host of the night who also normally DJs was great!! The night we attended, there was a live a band so that was also great. Bartenders were easy to grab, they made drinks fast and not a long line for the bathroom, ladies! It may have been my first time there but I'll definitely be going back again for future Thursdays! read more

A VERY SAD DEVELOPMENT: I use to enjoy going to the Thursday night salsa bachata event. The last Thursday 8/29 I was told by the guy at front that it was $15 starting that day . But I later find out from other patrons that they pay $10 ?! What I discovered were 3 possible scenarios, one, it's 15 for the salsa class because they had a guest instructor and/or they had a guest performer playingbcongo druns or something, or its $10 after 9:30 ?! I go because I enjoy the instructor Marina Moon but when you start misleading or charging one group one cover charge and another fee to another group, without an explaining or posting!!? You start to LOSE PATRON! Clearly you got to get somebody out front to explain because nothing's on the website . Very disappointed perhaps maybe I need to go somewhere else on Thursday night . The head bar tenders wife gave us issues when we had reserved for a birthday party. The staff who have been with the business before her had said they had lost business because of her. So if you are wanting to reserve for a loved one's birthday please expect you need to buy a bottle of liquor that costs 30 dollars at Costco but to cost 300 dollars as if it is a bottle of crystal champagne. 10/10 do not recommend. read more

Came here after my gf saw the instagram page and thought it looked appealing. In person, a whole different story. Upon arrival we noticed it is a very small venue with only one small bar. I ordered a redheaded slut and the bartender said he didn't know what that was. Are you serious?? I literally pulled out my phone and Googled the drink and showed it to him. He just shook his head..dude it's only Jager, peach schnapps and cranberry juice. I ordered a cranberry vodka instead. Smh . Crowd was a mixture of much too old people with younger crowd. We found it to be a bit awkward, to be honest. Got on the guest list so entry was $10 . Without guest list it would have been $20. Not worth it in my opinion. Not coming back here again. Review for Saturday Latin nights..my boy and I rolled up Saturday around 11..wanted to get a bottle but the only tables available were all the way in the back opposite of the DJ which didn't make sense but the price was right at 250$ for one bottle..gratuity and tax included..we decided to just pay our drinks as we go..my advice if u want to get a bottle reserve it early and get the spots next to the dance floor to the left of the stage..very good spot to post up with friends or family and celebrate..if your a single male not that many woman..final thoughts this club is a decent spot to celebrate a bday party with your close friends and pop some bottles or with a date and dance the night away at a 15$ cover charge..sometimes it's good to get away from the bright lights and heavy prices of Hollywood Santa Monica and LA etc.. read more

*Hostile Security* Made reservations to get bottle service at the venue for a friend's bday. As we were checking in, one of our members was wearing a flannel. His apparel was appropriate for the venue, however the bouncer at the time didn't have his snickers and decided to act up. Coincidently ,they told us to check in with valet to see if they had a black shirt to wear (common tactic to get patrons to spend more $$$). We ended getting another shirt and we eventually entered the lounge. As we were in, another member of our party was targeted and told to leave because he wasn't wearing a shirt of their liking. Keep in mind, this is after security had let them in. The music was great, but was heavily overshadowed by the large bald security guard, who reciprocates his own failures onto others. There are many Latin lounges in the area, these incidents are not profitable towards business. Good luck retaining a consistent clientele. read more

I've been to rain multiple times and gotten bottle service with no issues. After last night, I won't be returning. We decided to go for a bachelorette party and get bottle service. The two bottle service girls who refused to give their name were extremely unprofessional and rude. They basically threatened to give away our table if we didn't order a bottle. We explained that we needed 10 minutes to ask the bachelorette what bottle she wanted. The lady refused to leave and said you can go sit at the bar if you don't want bottle service. And said she doesn't understand why it's so hard for us to pick a bottle and was extremely pushy. After all this drama we decided to just leave. Wouldn't get bottle service here!! You could barely fit 6 people in the vip table area. Very over priced drinks also. You get charged gratuity even if you buy one drink. So be careful. Bar tender experience was horrible too. Took us over 15 mins to get our card back and wasn't that packed at the bar at the time. the dj that night was ok. Had some good jams but in between at time his mixing sucked. Was all over the place. **Women Beware!!** If I could give negative stars I would! Me and 2 friends came here last night to celebrate my friends birthday. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot, a man wearing regular street clothes approached the vehicle and told us it was $12 for valet. No problem. I gathered the cash and handed it to the guy and he left. I proceeded to exit the car assuming the guy was going to return to park the car. Another guy came and asked again for the parking fee. I explained that we had already paid the other guy. When he asked him if we paid, he said that we were crazy and to not let us in. A guy named Peter was at the top of the escalator screaming down at us saying we can't go in. I thought maybe they confused us with someone else. I approached the guy who originally took the cash from us and as soon as I did, he immediately got defensive and told me to back off or he was going to punch me. I said " what is your problem!?" As soon as I said that, he pushed me and I fell to the ground and he tried to punch me but I moved out the way. My friend saw this and went to confront him, and before she could even say anything, the guy punched her in the face. It was mayhem after that! Total brawl broke out when a random guy came to defend us. When we asked the other valet guy who that guy was, he said it is some guy named Ivan that works there "sometimes". We ended up calling the police and that was that. Ladies please be careful! Everyone that works there saw what happened and they did absolutely nothing. The dude that attacked us left and they did nothing. They do not care!! Please do not support this place and go somewhere else that actually cares about your safety. read more
