I had been recommended this coffee shop by a friend and had heard about them before they opened in San Marco. I had tried going to another coffee shop that day after visiting MOSH with my son, but when I had challenges parking, I decided to check out Foxtail. There is plenty of parking in the Publix parking lot, and if you come on a Thursday in the early afternoon, it is not crowded. We walked in and saw there were a lot of people hanging out and working there. We browsed the menus and asked about suggestions, to which the barista told me all the coffee was good. I decided on a butterscotch latte and ham and cheese sandwich, and I chose a birthday cake pop for my son, since it is his favorite. We were able to find a table to sit at inside and waited for our order. For the coffee, I had to carry him up with me to get my coffee, and the same for the sandwich, as they do not bring to the table. The coffee was good, but I didn't taste the butterscotch in it. The ham and cheese baguette sandwich was delicious, with plenty of cheese and sliced ham. You could tell the baguette was fresh as well. My son liked the baguette! He ate the birthday cake pop but it took some maneuvering to get him to eat it for some reason. We were able to sit and enjoy our food and coffee and people watch. A lot of people ordered ahead and picked up, and some sat with their orders. Overall, it was a nice shop to visit and I would come back to try the ice cream and beer. read more

Boyfriend picked up coffee from Foxtail, pretty new to the San Marco area. I ordered a cortadito, he ordered a black cold brew. We both agreed this was probably the worst coffee we've ever had, hands down. They both tasted like they had been sitting for several hours. My boyfriend did say the the shop was really cute and a nice potential spot to hang. I definitely will not be trying them again, solely based on how bad the coffee tasted. read more

I love checking out new coffee shops, even though im a tea drinker. I popped in to Foxtail on a hot afternoon, looking to try an iced tea option. The service I experienced was very friendly. The ambiance is nice. The iced tea shaker is freshly made, as it took 5 minutes to get my drink (no one was ahead of me). I tried the peach lemonade iced tea shaker. Sadly, it tastes like watered down unsweetened lemonade. I didn't get a tea taste. I prefer my tea to be less sweet, so I'm fine with the minimal sweetness, but this definitely isn't the "half and half" experience one would expect if you're used to getting Arnold Palmers. The taste of the drink and the price ($4.39 for a regular size) are why I give three stars. read more

I met a former colleague for a quick chat here at Foxtail. She wanted to try it and see what it was about. First and foremost, make sure that you build in some time when you visit because there's going to be a wait. Now, this is a coffee shop, but I don't like coffee--so what do you do? I got the peach iced tea lemonade...which was different...not very sweet so those of you who don't like a lot of sugar, this would be a good choice. The turkey sausage bagel was ok...nothing super special about it...Like I said previously, I don't drink coffee, so I can't speak to that--however, the lines for coffee were incredibly long so that gives you an indication of whether or not it's good...for parents with kiddos, make sure you stop and get some ice cream for them...there's a little ice cream stand inside. read more

Its a very cute and modern coffee shop that's perfect as a study area or as a place to chitchat. The workers at the till were very patient and good natured about my indecisiveness for picking a drink, I chose the cafe con leche, which is basically a latte with condensed milk instead of milk. Its pretty unassuming and basic but surprisingly very strong, im a habitual espresso lover but that drink had me shaking very delicious!! read more

This place is really void of anything pleasant. The first time I went with my partner and we ordered one of the breakfast sandwiches. We were really dissatisfied because for the price we paid we weren't expecting just a reheated ultra processed breakfast sandwich. I didn't plan on returning but I had stopped in the foxtail location in St Augustine and really liked that one. I figured I would give the San Marco location another chance. The cashier who rang me up looked... miserable? And I felt like I was imposing on him by ordering my coffee? Weird. When I sat down to wait I noticed they had boxes of their prepackaged food they buy sitting out on the counter. This raises some concern of whether there food is being kept at a safe temperature especially because some of the food contained meat and eggs. Anyway, you can see from the photo the total lack of quality in the food they serve. I would honestly just avoid this place altogether and opt for one of the other 3 coffee shops in the immediate area. read more

My friends and I were treated pretty poorly here and I probably won't be returning. But first of all their matcha is a pre-made mix which is common but for the price I expected them to make it themselves. ($7 with tip) This means the matcha is already sweetened with sugar so people who can't have sugar.... guess that's too bad. But the main reason I won't be returning is because of how we were treated. We came 45 minutes before closing and you would have thought that was a crime. We were super respectful, we tipped the baristas, and sat at a table for a while. I kept checking the time to make sure we wouldn't upset the employees by staying past closing. Well eventually one of the female employees was just staring at us with the dirtiest look I have ever seen. I made eye contact with her and she just continued to stare at me like that. I felt very uncomfortable and looked down and realized it was 8:02...... two minutes past closing. My friends and I have all worked retail/customer service jobs so we understand. We quickly grabbed our things to leave. My friend went over to the bar to ask an employee for some napkins to clean our table. The employee didn't even look up, ignored my friend and threw her hand up in the air in a general direction of where the napkins were. As I'm sure you can guess, we silently walked out the door without the employees saying "good night" or anything of that nature. Now mind you, there was another customer in the cafe sitting on her computer and was still in the cafe when we left. It's not like we were the last ones and they were waiting on us to lock up. My friends and I were very put off by this. I worked in retail for years and have had many times when customers stayed past the closing date, sometimes 20 minutes past. And we were taught to treat them with respect because they are PAYING customers. I understand being frustrated if we had stayed 10 minutes past closing. But 2 minutes? We probably won't come back. Foxtail supposedly opens at 6am on Sundays, so my two friends and I went there at 6am since there's a half marathon here today and our husbands are running. When we got there a little after 6, there was one guy working but the door was locked so we sat outside waiting for him to let us in. We sat there for 15 minutes before another employee showed up, barely acknowledged us, went inside, then locked the door behind her. We waited outside for 40 minutes waiting for them to acknowledge us, unlock the doors, something! Never happened, so we left. Maybe they should change their hours to open at 7am when they'll actually be open. read more

Came here for the first time today as recommended by a work friend. The barista recommended a flavored drink, so I tried the butterscotch flavored latte with oat milk. They also recommended vanilla cold foam. I also ordered their egg, cheese and ham croissant. Both the drink and food were excellent. Wi-Fi is available for free. Will definitely come here again. There is ample parking as it shares the same lot as the big Publix store. read more

This place is awful. Extremely overpriced. Stale, old, factory produced baked goods. Employees are all disinterested, dead pan children who act like making your coffee is the worst thing that has ever happened to them. Decor and furniture are cold, lifeless and uncomfortable. And if you were wondering where all the soccer mom Karens were, it's here, place is infested with them. read more

Chill ambiance for a quick breakfast. Coffee was pretty good and the breakfast sandwiches were delicious. Food came out fast. The outdoor seating area looked very nice but it was super windy today. There was ample seating inside for small groups. This is a nice area of San Marco too! read more

We were very excited to try this place. I got a plain cold brew with oat milk and my partner got a cold brew with caramel syrup. This is my usual order at any other shop but it was bitter and oddly sweet. My partner's drink was extremely sweet. Both of these drinks cost us about $16 AND they charged me 75 cents for the small splash of oat milk in my cold brew. Very disappointed and neither of us could finish them. The employees were very nice and the atmosphere was okay, but unfortunately the drinks were not. read more

Ok I know it's a new business and they have some kinks to work out but holy hell, they have work to do. Please train your staff to make coffee. Please! At nearly $5 a cup it should be amazing. I had a French press coffee that smelled like paint. Admittedly, I've never tasted paint but I bet this drink was pretty close to the same. One sip and down the drain it went. I really wanted to like this place and was hopeful it would be my new jam but I think I'll have to wait. 3 stars bc one of the other drinks we ordered was just ok. Good luck guys.
