I was doing some shopping this afternoon at St. JOHN'S TOWN CENTER and got really thirsty halfway through. I decided to stop at this coffee bar for something cold to drink. They have smoothies, ice storms, hot coffees and cold teas. I ordered a small tropical iced tea. It tasted great but the total bill was about six dollars. I ordered the Lavender Chai, Sparkling Pomegranate Lemonade, and a Egg White, Spinach, and Feta Wrap. The Lavender Chai was good but I couldn't taste any lavender. That may have been because the chai was too strong. The wrap was just ok. I didn't taste any feta and it seemed to be some kind of white cheese sauce. I was slightly disappointed. The Sparkling Pomegranate Lemonade was delicious, not too sweet and was a perfect blend of poms and the sourness of the lemons. I wrote a review on the Nordstrom Ebar around 4 years ago so this may be updated a little. I always enjoy visiting the Ebar more than any other coffee outlet on the St. John's Town Center campus. Why? It's because it's the only place in JAX I know where I can get a Mexican mocha (hot or cold) latte - and they've always been good. I hoped to walk around for a little bit on this day, but after getting from the parking lot through Nordstrom's then to the Apple Store, any hopes of walking much further were abandoned. It was destiny Ebar at that point. I will say that customer service has always been pretty special here. It was no different today and the barista who took the order made good suggestions and got everything spot on. It was busy for a while before I got there, but lightened up fairly quickly after that. This isn't the largest coffee shop around but has decent seating inside and a good-sized patio section outside in front of the Nordstrom's department store and along side of the Ebar. There is some seating variety both indoors and outdoors. Inside has mostly wooden tables and chairs but there are a few upholstered chairs on the far side of the shop. The tables and chairs outdoors are mainly metal. But there are some softer upholstered couches out there too. Hard to use on a 92 degree day, but still some people do exactly that! My disappointment with the Mexican mocha ice storm this time around was that it was overly sweetened. When I can't taste any coffee in a beverage of this type I know it's a sugar load and can make me think twice before ever visiting again. I will say, though a little expensive, the turkey croissant was pretty good. Make sure you get it heated if you get one! The Ebar, like most things at Town Center are pricey. But I still like coming down here for my San Diego feeling with the Mex mochas and then visit my favorite shops. The Ebar really is a terrific shop with excellent service. Don't be afraid to visit! First listing positives, then negatives from my visit around 1 - 3 PM on Tuesday Feb 24th. I don't drink coffee but I knew that this shop offers matcha latte and I like matcha latte. Positives: cold water publicly available alongside disposable plastic cups, music is not too loud, can concentrate with noise-cancelling headphones to block out music, public wifi works from Nordstrom's network, plenty of power outlets on the wall and the tables, restroom clean, variety of alternative milks offered Negatives: Matcha latte too expensive at 6.50 base price, plus additional dollar for alternative milk; my selection of coconut milk was too sweet. (Too sweet is somewhat my own fault because I could have selected differently such as almond milk or oatmilk. But I did not expect my selection to be an issue of sweetness because Starbucks for example only offers unsweetened alternative milks because of that issue. I assumed the same at Ebar but did not ask, accepting that I could have asked to ensure unsweetened alternative milk.) Trash overfilled since my arrival time was not emptied until I specifically requested that at the service bar. A few customers including me compressed it downward before I asked. About half the time I was there, there was a queue of at least three customers waiting but some points where all were served with no queue waiting. Queue diminished enough that baristas could have looked around and emptied the trash on their own initiative. Perhaps more baristas should have been on duty to reduce those waiting and look around at and empty the trash. While the cold water is publicly available with disposable plastic cups, the trash was too full to fit more plastic cups in without them falling out. read more

Nordstrom Ebar Artisan Coffee is a stand alone coffee shop that is located just right outside Nordstrom, in the Town Center area. Thanks to Holiday shopping, I found myself gravitating to this shop for good coffee, because Yeah, I gots to have my Coffee'n or Caffeine. What's great about this shop is they carry different varieties of mixes and flavors of coffees as well as small sandwiches and tasty pastries. My go-to thus far have been the Mocha Bianco, which is White Chocolate blended with Expresso. While I'm not an overly big fan of white chocolate, the blend with Expresso is just perfect for my taste buds. And while I've tried other drinks, I found myself going back to MB aka Mocha Bianco. Additionally the staff here is such a pleasure to deal with. And the inside ambience, just gives you a relaxing feel. Plenty of outside seating if you prefer that option. Definitely a win win for caffeine feen!!! read more

The coffee was fine. All the other staff members were lovely. The manager must have been having a really bad day. Were we laughing too loudly? Probably. I met up with friends I hadn't seen in years, and we were likely selfish in our joy. The manager appeared, as if from nowhere, and approached our table. She put her hands on her hips, huffed, stated her name (which I don't recall) and that she was the manager, then told us we had to quiet down because she could "hear us all the way back in her office." Nice place, but the short round manager is rude and should learn how to speak to the customers. She shouted at my party for pushing tables together, and then turned and stomped back to her hiding place. I had the worst experience at this coffee bar. The coffee was so bad and I couldn't even drink it. I returned it and got my money back. The staff was not friendly at all they had attitudes.. when I ask for my money back they asked me why I told them why the coffee was really bad and I couldn't even drink it was not brew properly. For those on the go, Ebar fits the bill. Situated next to Nordstrom, in the heart of the St. John's Town Center, it's in a prime location when on foot. I hate making comparisons to other businesses, but to me, Ebar resembles a glorified Starbucks. The coffee never seems to match the price tag, the wait times and the hospitality from the baristas. Most of you know I drink my coffee black and I usually don't branch out to lattes, other than a cappuccino. The cold brew always receives a shrug and a muttered, "it'll do," from me. The best part of Ebar is that they keep the shop squeeky clean. Plus, the outdoor couches are mega comfy and fit for a king! I wouldn't mind dozing off on a Sunday afternoon while nursing a hangover...wait, what? The huge umbrellas block away the scorching sun, too. Overall, it's not my coffee shop of choice. It appears to be steadily busy with tons of foot traffic. For me, the 'tude from the employees and the average coffee drinks round up to a consistently so-so experience. The Nordstrom E-Bar has quickly become one of my favorite spots to stop in for a break when I'm out shopping at St John's Town Center. Nothing beats sitting under the umbrellas in those big comfy chairs outside of Nordstrom whilst sipping a yummy coffee! I really like the Tropical Iced Tea, but they obviously have a TON of great coffees, espresso, smoothies and snacks! They've also got a decent selection of wraps, salads and dessert like items in their refrigerator section by the register. I have had the chicken Caesar wrap and it was a little dry (which I expected) but it was overall pretty good! The line can get a little long here during peak hours and on the weekends but the baristas can typically handle the rush and get the line moving right on along. I always have a pleasant experience here and would definitely recommend stopping in if you're down on the south side of the St Johns Town Center. read more

So, I always talk about how the town center has little gems that always surprise me. This place is one of them. I had no clue that this place existed. Went to a Yelp event at Nordstrom's in store restaurant, Bazille, and a fellow elite yelper suggested the cookies from here. Of course it was like 9 at night and the cookies, but one, were gone... however when in Rome!!! It's right next to Nordstrom (not to be confused with Nordstrom Rack) in the Towncenter. It's a coffee shop, most look and sound the same. It was late at night so I am sure the normal wait and rushed quality was not a factor here. I decided to get the maple brown sugar latte because I drink coffee like water and having it at 9PM won't keep me up. It smelled delicious, looked great, and tasted even better! (Yaaaas for the Oxford comma) I will definitely have to come back. I have my eye on a couple of other items, I think it was like a honey almond latte. They have all the standard caffeine options from cold brew to fancy cappuccinos. If you're feeling frisky then try your hand at their Honey Almond Latte or seasonal options. It's a comfortable little place with nice outdoor seating. The customer service fluctuates between good and exasperated, but the drink quality is always top-notch. I love this place, it is right outside Nordstrom on on the main walkway to town center, this whole area they made is so beautiful! It's so south Florida, I love it! They have big chairs and couches out to relax and drink a fancy drink on. Inside is very similar to Starbucks, we got cold drinks today cause it was hot out.....passion fruit ? iced tea, and a pomigranate lemonade sparkler.... They were both good but a little too sweet for my taste.....they used alot of syrup in the drinks. Next time I'll just ask for less syrup, more sparkle lol! While some were skeptical if the Jax Nordstrom would have the restaurant, they DO definitely have the EBar. According to reliable sources, they've had a long line all weekend. I must have picked the right day to go, because it was hardly crowded until right before I was leaving. The space is beautiful. Floor to ceiling windows wrap around the corner space letting in plenty of natural light. A mix of seating options from banquettes with tables to a community table to individual chairs with end tables between them. It also has plenty of seating outside, not only in front of the store, but a variety of options in the newly built out courtyard area. I went with the Mexican Mocha for my Monday morning. It had a good amount of spice, but I was missing a little coffee. With Bold Bean Jax Beach filling my caffeine cravings, it's hard to go anywhere else these days. However, EBar offers a nice resting place at this end of the mall which hasn't really had anything like this until now. read more

I don't come to the Ebar all that often, but almost every time I've come has been a bad experience customer service wise. One time I went in and this brunette girl with a beanie took my order. I specifically asked for soy milk, since I'm lactose intolerant, and she made my drink with normal milk. Then when I told her about the mistake, she rolled her eyes at me! Another time I came in, this girl with a nose ring was talking to someone else behind the counter and basically ignored me. When I ordered the chai with soy, she gave me this whole lecture about how the chai wasn't vegan when I honestly don't care since I'm not vegan so... It also seems like no one here really knows what they're doing. I wanted to get a bag of coffee but none of the barista knew a thing about what they had so I left empty handed. And another time I came in I wanted to get a gift card because they had a promotion going on and girl on register (the one with the beanie who rolls her eyes) had no idea how to do it. So she called over a manager who also has no idea what he was doing. The Ebar is a nice alternative to the library for a place to do my homework since the area is so pretty and the coffee and pastries are good in spite of all the terrible experiences I've had with the staff. All things considered, I'll probably be doing my studying at Starbucks from now on, though. The coffee isn't as good but the service is much better. read more

I have always loved the nordstroms ebar. My favorite drink to purchase is the vanilla chai latte. It is by far the best chai latte I ever had at any coffee shop. I also ordered a blueberry bagel with cream cheese. It was quite delicious. The staff here are friendly and the environment is clean and modern.
