On our ongoing quest to visit all the supper clubs in Wisconsin (with the list hovering around 260,…read moreno easy feat), we recently stopped by The Cove Supper Club while staying at a cabin in Briggsville. The Cove serves up the usual supper club fare with, in true supper club fashion, the option to stop at the bar prior to being seated at your table. We decided to just go ahead and order drinks at our table vs the bar and were able to be seated immediately on a Saturday evening (it was a bit earlier in the evening, but still--nice!). For an appetizer, we ordered the bruschetta, which was solid. It was served with a sprinkle of parmesan and a drizzle of balsamic. For my cocktail, I ordered their bourbon old fashioned. It was also good. My dining companion ordered a Bulleit bourbon Manhattan, requesting it served up with cherries. It ended up coming served with olives, which is an oddity we've only come across in Wisconsin. He decided to give it a whirl (rather than sending back) and I had a sip as well. We're both decidedly not fans. So...lesson learned on that one! For dinner, I opted for the broiled shrimp and brussels sprouts. The shrimp were plump and broiled to perfection and came with lemon and cocktail sauce. Delish! The brussels sprouts were steamed, which isn't my favorite method for cooking sprouts (would have much prefered oven roasted or sauteed). That said, they tasted fresh. My dining companion ordered their Wisconsin Jambalaya, which was an interesting mix of bratwurst, chicken, shrimp, and rice covered in a spicy wisconsin cheese sauce. I had a taste and thought it was great! Meals come with soup or salad and a dinner roll as well (which was soft and warm!). Our server was friendly and efficient with our meal nicely spaced. Of course we finished the evening with sharing a Grasshopper dessert cocktail, which was simply presented but delicious. Get to it!

They have big leather swivel chairs that are actually comfy. The bar was very lively on a weekday at 4 pm. Watermelon mojito was one of the best I've ever had , followed it up with a great espresso martini. Ordered the fried clams appetizer which was good but many pieces were so small and thin that they seemed pure batter and no clam. The escargo was covered in a mexi-cheese blend that I found strange at first but tastes delicious- just more like Wisconsin escargo then French . They came with delicious crispy bread bites that we soaked up all the extra cheese and juices. Broccoli cheddar soup was the best I've ever had and absolutely loved the steak medallions with onions and dude of sauce . Steak was perfectly cooked. I loved this place and can't wait to come back

The original bar is in the old darker section - more traditional for a supper club.. We stopped there for some old fashions before dinner - they were solid. Service was very good. We ordered our meals after some tough decision making after snacking on their very tasty warm rolls. I tried their special of crabbed stuff shrimp. Five large shrimp that were very good with a baked potato on the side. My wife got the encrusted salmon and was surprised that it was encrusted in a bread crumb cheese mixture. She really enjoyed it. Our friends got the chicken with pasta and the walleye - two thumbs up. We decided to try their ice cream drinks for dessert. One pink squirrel and one brandy Alexander. Both were good but we have had better and bigger versions at other supper clubs. Prices were typical for a supper club - not cheap.

I love, absolutely love fish and chips. Look no more! This hometown restaurant serves the very best. Just thinking about it makes my stomach growl. The atmosphere is a sporty one, with TV monitors providing customers a good view of current events, sports and/ or the news. The service is excellent, the clientele are cheerful, and if you listen closely, you will catch all the local gossip, which seems to be the favorite past-time of folk who live here. But, in a small, rural town, what can you expect? The nearest movie theatre is over 10 miles away, there isn't a recreation center for healthy exercise during the hot steamy summers, or even in the frigid, blustery winters. All in all though, this is one great place to visit, especially on your way through town. I have stayed here way too long. Hope to move, soon.

They must be using a cheaper vender for their food because it's not nearly as good and the portions are smaller. They also charge you more for to go orders. Small town business's shouldn't be gouging any business they get.
