    Crispy Chicken Alfredo

good morrow! During my time at J's, I delighted in the crispy chicken alfredo and a plate of french fries. The food was delectable and I was unable to finish it off it was so filling! For dessert, I sampled the brown cow which was much to my satisfaction. Service was kind and patient, however my one qualm with the restaurant was that I desired some more fitting music, as there was reggae playing which didn't quite suit the mood.

Had to have some cheese curds for National Cheese curd day - and J's doesn't disappoint. Curds are lightly battered , crispy on the outside and melty on the inside. I always like that they serve it with warm marinara or ranch. For supper - I had the southwest salad with chicken. It is delicious - I highly recommend. Service was on top of things which made the evening perfect.

Service was great!! Our server was great and put together a caesar salad for me before my pasta. I ordered the crispy chicken alfredo (pic) and unfortunately the sauce wasn't my favorite.. kind of ragu like? I don't know but the breadstick was good!

I came with my grandparents on a Friday for the fish fry. I had called to verify what time it started. I was happy to know it started at 4pm. We arrived and there was only one table of people, but the place was full by the time we left. The service is severely lacking. But like everyone else I guess it's short staffing. There was a sign on the door. It took forever to get our drinks... like 15 minutes. My grandpa was getting pretty upset about that. Another snafu was that our salads didn't come out before the food. That's a big no-no. Otherwise, the food was excellent, atmosphere was nice. We were seated by the pretty fireplace. Drinks were good, when they finally came out. They serve some very interesting local liquors, which is a nice touch. I recommend it, just be aware of the service issues.

My family and I came here for Christmas eve this year and got a lovely table we reserved in the back of the restraunt. It was nice to be at a large table together and a bit of out the way of the other guests because we had small children with us. I'd been here a few times over the years and had a good experience. The menu has changed a bit and we were surprised with the variety of options - there was something for everyone. I had the Ahi Tuna salad appetizer as my main dish. It was fresh and delicious. My husband ordered the Prime Rib special with baked potato and veggies. Both were very good and we enjoyed sharing. My dad ordered the Pork Ribeye special and that was a crowd favorite - we all had to have a bite - super juicy. Love that they have local beers on tap and a range of prices. Wonderful experience with good service as well.

INCREDIBLE. I don't care where you live. Drive to Reedsburg, Wisconsin, have an Old Fashioned at the bar (meet Katie, a star in the hospitality industry) and check out this wonderful restaurant. Have another drink, then sit by the fireplace and eat the FINEST pork ribeye in the world. Tender, great flavor and perfectly unique. Without exaggeration, J's competes with Tornado Room, Harvey House and Del Bar and whips them handily. This is a remarkable and extraordinary restaurant. Go there.

Food was good, not the best I've ever had but it was good and filling. The fries were seasoned really good! Service was slow.

So glad we went to J's, what a great experience. We loved the potato skins, J's punch, Meomi Pinot, the Prime Rib was amazing and the bourbon salmon - really great food.

It was not busy when we arrived for an early dinner, and most of the staff congregated in and around a booth under a TV. You want a refill, more napkins, some parm & red pepper flakes for your pizza, or for dishes to be cleared away? Just look towards that TV and pray your server emerges. If there was a manager, I'd guess that's where they were hiding too. We ordered a hodge-podge of things since this would be our only chance to visit: spicy Hawaiian pizza, quesabirria, lamb lollipops, and charred carrots. The lamb and the quesabirria were the obvious standouts. Leagues above the other two items. They had so much flavor and were a delight to eat. The pizza did not taste like it came out of a wood-fired oven and was very heavy on the cheese (and that's saying something, coming from a couple of Wisconsinites). The carrots were nowhere near charred; the chunks were all vastly different sizes so not all of them were cooked, and they desperately needed that caramelization for depth of flavor.
