My family and I still joke about the experience we had here. My mom, sister, and I arrived mid afternoon on a Saturday. It wasn't prime lunch time so it was slow. We sat outside and there were only dirty tables. Our server came over and placed menus on top of the dirty table (literally Parmesan, marinara sauce, etc. all over it). We had to ask her to wipe it down. She accidentally poured water all over my mom while filling our glasses - no apology of acknowledgment. Our food took FOREVER. The pizza slices were so tiny that we then had to order garlic knots which took another 15 minutes. We walked off the beach thinking we could grab a quick slice of pizza then get back into the sun but this ended up being over an hour long experience. Amazingly delicious food and super friendly staff. We were a family of 6 and every single person was so satisfied and impressed that we returned the next day! We even received complimentary dessert which was AMAZING!! ( I recommend the lemon cake) Very nice atmosphere. I've been hearing about this "Detroit style pizza" for a few months and I have to be honest, I'm not SUCH a big pizza fan. That changed last night it was awesome!! The hubby and I had a great time talking to the extremely friendly staff and one of the proprietors. I can't wait to go back and try the salad and soups. If I could give 0 stars I would. As typical/cliche that is. Me and my fiancé were out and just needed a bottle of water since it was late and we needed something for our Uber (we are out of town). The employee was incredibly rude and expressed her disgust for us paying for bottled water... I understand if you cash out it is difficult but it was $7 for 2 bottles of water and we were cool spending it but the attitude sucked so bad ha his is the worst business on this corner and I wouldn't come here to eat if I was starving to death just based on customer service. At this point I don't care how good the food may be. All the other businesses are amazing. We'd go there if they just had been at least quiet giving us the water. You don't even have to conversation. Waited 50 minutes for spaghetti and meatballs and a gluten free pizza. 40 minutes in we had to ask for the salad that came with the spaghetti. Spaghetti was served without meatballs. Pizza was cold. No one came back to check. We had to ask for the meatballs they arrived when the meal was nearly over. GF pizza was awful. Spaghetti heavily spiced. 5 of us Went on a Monday and had very poor service. Food was good but had to ask after :45 mins to get our salads and they came out incorrectly (forgot the added chicken) and one of the salads came 10mins after the others with all of the food. Food also had mistakes and came out in pieces. It was not very busy at all. Overall the food was good besides the mistakes it did taste good. The service however was horrible. I happen to be the spokesman for getting the food and encouraging the staff for the salads (which i did politely) but when the waitress came with the food she was down right rude and made fun of me for questioning the mistakes on the food. I give it one star for the bad service as the experience was definitely ruined. We won't return as there are plenty of other options. read more

I live across the street from this restaurant. I have been there four times, three times I have not gotten my food and had to leave. Tonight after 50 minutes I asked them where my food was and they did not know. The restaurant was chaos as the waitresses had run food to the wrong tables multiple times. I won't return. As this is happening the owner is pouring herself vodka and soda. The waitresses were apologetic, but they still charged me for my beer, I would have assumed that would been comped since I had been there for nearly an hour and never got my food. If they had not been arguing about who ran the wrong food to the wrong table may be it would not have been such chaos. Probably the worst run restaurant in Madeira Beach. read more

We are locals. Moved here about a year ago. We have been to Frabottas three times. I really, really wanted to love this place. Pizza is consistently good, but the service is not. The waitstaff is just not very friendly or attentive. Last visit our service was even slower....our beers sat behind the bar so long by the time they got to our table they were warm. I give it a 3 because the pizza is not too bad, the Calzones are incredbile, the Chick Marsala - this isn't the place for that - but it is the place for garlic knots.. . so as you can see it's hit or miss. The staff is super friendly!! For two adults and two kids (one glass of wine - the rest tea's) $93+ dollars was a bit nuts. I'm a local - I know the good pizza 'joints'. They have pretty good pizza but everything else is really bad quality and has no taste. Me and my family got a bunch of food one night. I really had no idea you could make Italian food taste like nothing. The meatballs where like hamburgers tossed in watered down spaghetti sauce then served. The worst was the chicken parm. Stumbled across this place late last night as they were closing up. I did not want to be that guy who places an order when everybody working is trying to go home after their shift. Really enjoyed our lunch here. We are from Chicago so used to good pizza and though we had a hankering for it, we weren't so sure Florida could do up a good pie. Well we were pleasantly surprised and I have to say this was one of our favorite and most tasty lunches of the vacation. Prices weren't bad either. My two teenage boys split the Detroit style pizza and loved it and my husband and I split a 12" round with a salad. Everything was delicious and to top it all off, it was free cannoli Wednesday! We were in the mood to try a different pizza place and saw a review comparing it to Slyce one of our favorite local spots. So I decided to make the drive to Frabattos. The pictures looked good online. The staff went out of there way so I could place my order. The location is tight on parking but looks nice inside and out. I don't mind spending money if the pizza is good. So we ordered a white pizza and a mamas special where you get 8 toppings of choice. The 2 pizzas cost me 50 bucks so I would rate this place more like $$$ but like I said if its good they $ doesn't matter. The pizza isn't bad but we spent $30 for the 1 pizza alone and it was pretty skimpy on the toppings and cheese. The white pizza was a little dry and they both were just warm when I picked them up. The toppings on the pizza tasted pretty good. The sauce has a little kick to it which was nice. Overall not bad but not in love. Maybe if our pizza looked like the one on here with all of sausage over it may have been different. Worth a try but maybe not a repeat. Especially for 50 bucks for 2 pizzas. Sorry to say its not Slyce on this visit. I would however like to try it again if my pizza looked like at the pictures with the 4 and 5 star review posts. read more

I'm amazed by this restaurant! For the two times I've visited Frabotta's, every time I leave pleased. I always get spaghetti and meatballs, which is my suggestion for anyone going. The service maybe the star that is missing in my ranking, both times the service was below par, speed wise, however, the waiters were very friendly and pleasant. The environment and location of the restaurant are great, along with the interior. All in all, this place definitely proves that "Mom and Pop" restaurants are better than mainstream chains. read more
