Yes. Fractured Prune in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, custom makes fresh doughnuts for each and every order. The results are super fresh right out of the hot oil bath doughnuts full a warmth and strong flavors to excite your tongue. No wonder it is an institution in this part of the world. Their colors are mostly deep pastel, matched by strong flavors that really stand out. Perhaps because we stopped by on a snowy morning in early December, our box of a half dozen warmed my hands as I walked back to the car parked right in front. We drove a ways before opening the lavender box to sample the first ones. We found them soft and friable, so that they were difficult to pick up in one piece. They fell apart on touching, requiring us to remove them carefully to avoid further crumble onto car seats and floor. Should have grabbed more napkins. Still, despite the minor mess, they did excite the tongue due to their strong flavors and uber freshness. Eaten with hot Java as washdown, it was self explanatory why they were so popular and had been around in the same location of Coastal Highway for decades. Ownership still makes and serves the doughnuts, and was happy to shoot the sh*t with this stranger while working the assembly line. These cake dough boys are the real deal. If you're into Duck Donuts and Krispy Kremes, Fractured Prune will definitely float your boat. 5 Sweet Stars

The Fractured Prune is a unique donut shop that is a must try if you're in the area. The staff were so kind and welcoming. Gave us plenty of recommendations. I don't believe you can go wrong with what donut you pick. They make them fresh right in-front of you and the ingredients are really a good quality. One of the best donut shops we've had.

Love stopping on the way to OC for fresh doughnuts!!! They are made when you order them, and are HOT! The outside is crispy and the inside is so warm and soft.

Sweet tooth!??? This place is for you! Came here on a whim on a Friday morning, and was not disappointed. I was greeted by Ahmandria, and she was super sweet and patient. The menu is extensive, lots of choices and all customizable. They all come warm and made-to-order! We tried 4 of the flavors and i cannot tell you which one i liked best. They were ALL great!! I keep telling myself I wont stop here again at the end of my trip, but i might! Thanks again, Ahmandria!

    Dozen donuts!

Amazing donut shop close to the beach (kind of hidden next to the Coldwell Banker office). Donuts were hot and fresh with something for everyone. $23.50 for a dozen which is a little pricey but totally worth it!

I couldn't sleep the night before. I was so excited to get my donuts in the morning. I went there at 8 AM as soon as they open the doors I was the first one in. The staff were so friendly and the donuts do not disappoint. I ordered six flavors and they were amazing, also the store is very cute. It has a coffee section and a donut section and it sells clothing if you want. I love this place and it's sad We don't have any locations at home.

I visited this donut shop while on a recent trip to Delaware. When searching for coffee and donut shops that are in the area, I can across this place on a list of Eater's best donut shops in America. Needless to say, I was excited to try it and just happen to be traveling to a place that was so highly regarded. While I liked this donut shop a lot, I can't say it's one of America's best. Don't get me wrong, they have very good donuts and it's a must visit. They have a wide variety of interesting flavors. The principle thing they do that makes their donuts yummy is they are all fresh made. The donuts are made in front of your eyes with a donut machine, then dipped into a sauce that gives the donut its flavor. This makes the donuts warm, something that is usually found at a donut shop. The down side of this is that service is slow. When I went, there was only staff member for entire the donut shop, and took him painfully long to make and bag all of the orders. I went during the off season in the winter, so it's possible they have more workers during the high season, so service might be faster then. Also, be warned the donuts are super sweet. The ambiance is perfect for the beach town that it is in. One weird aspect is there is a lot of Dale Earnhardt memorabilia in the donut shop. In sum, the donuts here are hot fresh and delicious.

Great service, cute and donuts were very pretty. I thought it was a bit sweet but rest of family loved it, we had them for dessert. The coffee was good too!

These are some good donuts! I got 4 and 2 iced coffee's which was $36 and I chose to give the group a tip. It was an early Saturday morning but the staff was friendly. The donuts are hand-dipped by order. I didn't realize that so I waited a few hours for them to dry and be less messy to eat, although enjoying while hot seems to be the thing to do. I was worried how sweet they would but the donut itself was very light. It was a bit pricey but worth the stop on our drive back home.

One of the best-fresh donut place, sad we are missing this in NoVA. There was huge line when I got there, the staff was patient and efficient.

THESE WERE SO GOOD UGH! I love you fractured prune. While they are sweet, they have so much flavor. They are what a donut should taste like. The service was very good and is given to you in about 5-10 minutes!

Great base donut, super light and yummy. My criticism is that everything was piping hot so any frosting or topping melted. Still yummy and pairs well w some coffee.

Always one of our first stops when we visit Rehoboth or Ocean City. It's an absolute must at least once during your stay. Lots of great varieties!

Their perfect Italian sub rolls are packed with turkey breast! The Italian and Italian with prosciutto on top are absolutely spot on! To be fair, I've sampled the cheesesteaks twice and both times I found the steak used delicious but lacking in volume. I'm used to real Philly steaks which overflow with chopped steak- these steaks kinda got lost in the roll. I do visit often for the subs but not the steaks.

The bad news is that the bread, although it appears to be fresh, is thick, tasteless and hard. I ate half of my sandwich, chewing and tearing at the bread. I asked for extra condiments (mustard and vinegar), but the bread remained hard and overly-chewy. For the second half, I ate the insides of the sandwich (turkey, lettuce, tomato, onion and sweet peppers) and threw the bread away. All of it. My partner took half of their sandwich to-go and plans to skip the bread when they finish it later. A sub shop should have excellent bread. Or at least decent bread. This is neither. I would give the place 4 - or even 5 - stars for the nice size sandwich, but the bread was really a problem for me. The place is clean and comfortable. There's a soda dispenser with free refills.

The decor and music choices marry the Latin-inspired cuisine with a classic Rehoboth east-coast beach sensibility. I was made to feel warm (at heart, they still have AC to keep ya cool) and welcome. The highlight was the service. The man (I believe the owner himself) was the cheeriest and kindest man I've met all week. He encouraged all of our choices and offered us to try the delicious beverages (tamarind was my favorite!) Food was served quickly and with a smile. I was very satisfied even though I must admit I kept my choice pretty standard with the Little Missionary. While just a footlong with mayo, ketchup, and mustard, it really hit the spot when I just wanted more of a plain hot dog. My friends got the Little German and Little Cock which were coated in all manner of ingredients. My friends were so content, they got another dog to go. Didn't order drinks, just ice tea, lemonade, and water. Ordered garlic parm wings (yummy), side of fries (should say trough full as it was such a generous portion), beef and cheddar sandwich with fries (get this - so tasty), a turkey burger (delicious and a mile high), chicken wrap, and a regular burger with no bun.
