My bf got the roast beef and I got the Chicken salad to die for. Both were good - I'm usually not a chicken salad orderer - but the name made me order it haha. I liked it but I'll order something diff next time. I would love to come back and get a breakfast sandwich. Ordered the Brie a La Val at the window with an Arnold Palmer, to go. There was no line so that went smoothly. I paid with cash so I got a dollar off my order. I waited at a table outside, which was really nice. The sandwich came out quickly and off I went. When I sat down to eat a while later I noticed there was no pickle in my bag. Not a huge deal but it was on the menu I read... Then I opened the sandwich wrapping and the bread looks like a par baked baguette. Not appealing to the eye. While I love honey mustard, I couldn't imagine eating an entire sandwich of it, but that's what I did because that was the only flavor in this sandwich. The chicken salad to die for, as the name implies, really is to die for. My husband and I ordered it twice over the course of 2 days, and we're still talking about it months later. It's stuffed with chicken salad, lettuce, and tomato. It's not ordinary chicken salad. It has toasted almonds, green apples, and blue cheese in it. I've tried to recreate this sandwich at home, and I cannot get Lori's proportions correct. The food was delicious. The service was excellent. Highly recommend. Great value. I had a cheddar tomato melt that was so warm and comforting I came back for the chicken salad the next day. There are many more items on the menu I'd like to try the next time I visit. The sandwiches certainly are good, and I have gone back for years (they come with chips). So many places here charge a credit card service fee- and I won't patronize them (Bethany Beach Books, Rosenfeld's deli, Heirloom), but this place actually gives a 4% discount if you pay cash. That's the way it should be. The price is the price, But if you don't make them incur the fee, they give you the savings back. In addition, they have a program where you can buy a lifeguard lunch- either just pay for the next one who happens up, who gets a welcome surprise, or they give you a coupon, and you can go down to the beach and thank a lifeguard in person- they are thrilled to get a coupon and be recognized for saving lives. read more

I stopped by here earlier today with my wife, kids and in laws for lunch. We were for a place with outdoor seating near Rehobeth whenever Loris Cafe came up. It fit what we wanted perfectly as it was located in an small courtyard amongst stores with plenty of outdoor seating. The shop itself had screened windows and doors and you placed your order through them and then waited for your name to be called. In the courtyard with their seating they had 8 tables and 3 large umbrellas which when combined with the stores on either side, provided shade for almost all of the tables. The courtyard itself throughout our lunch was nice and peaceful which I absolutely loved. For lunch on this day I decided to go with the mother clucker while my wife went with the avocado supreme salad. The menu described the mother clucker as chicken in wing sauce heated with blue cheese in a wrap and the avocado surpreme as avocado, greens, vine ripe tomatoes and hummus! Our food ended up being ready about 5 minutes after I had ordered and we sat down to eat. My wrap ended up being quite good and was exactly as promised with shredded chicken and blue cheese. There weren't any other fillers in the wrap either so it was a good amount of chicken. Then the blue cheese added a nice pungent taste to the chicken which I enjoyed. My wife said that her salad was good and I was able to try some of the hummus on a piece of bread and can agree that it was tasty. The bottom line for me is that I would stop back here again in the future. All of food was quite good and I really enjoyed the peace and quiet that the outdoor seating in the courtyard provided. read more

Wow, what a great find! We went here two of the 3 days we were visiting Rehoboth. Lori and her staff do such a great job!Outdoor tables with umbrellas tucked in between the buildings. Go to the window and order and the lovely staff brings it out to you. We had bagel sandwiches both days which were so good with egg, bacon, spinach and cheese. You can specify what kind of cheese you want. And today, I got a blueberry muffin, yum! Prices were very reasonable. Please give Lori's a try! read more

When I visited on a Saturday afternoon, there was plenty of seating and my food was ready within 5 minutes. I ordered it to go and napkins and a bag of chips were provided in the bag. I ordered M. This is such a cozy spot with many breakfast options away from the main strip. My husband and I both got bagels sandwiches that were just right before a pool/beach day and walking around. They didn't have any added condiments (we didn't ask for any) so it may be dry. Ask for what you might like to help with that. The line got busy at times as we sat to eat so plan accordingly. The staff were kind and promptly got us a bag for us to take the rest of our food to go. There was also a water pitcher available for humans and for dogs. Some neighboring patrons had their dogs with them at their table so it's definitely pet friendly. read more

Hands downs, the absolute worst chicken salad i've experienced in 38 years. It appears that they use a blender to get the chicken salad into a pulverized purée appropriate for hospital food, and then they used abnormally large pieces of apple and nuts, along with an unknown spice to seal the deal. Luckily, my sandwich had hot peppers and onions to mask the flavor of the chicken salad. The only reason it's not a 1 star, is because they did use solid tomatoes, and the bread was decent. But seriously, even Wawa has better chicken salad than Lori. Do yourself a favor and avoid this bizarre and disgusting chicken salad. I couldn't finish the sandwich. Im still hungry. read more

Lori's is a stable for breakfast sandwiches and lunch in downtown Rehoboth and have been many times over the years, primarily for breakfast sandwiches. Very dog friendly, you order at window and they bring food to the arranged outdoor furniture. Employees are very nice and good is consistently good but not over the top. Got carry out for the beach and the food held up well until we had a chance to nosh. Not cheap but nothing in downtown Rehoboth is during the season. read more

I have been a customer of this little sandwich shop since it opened around 1996 or 97. I moved out of the region in late 2019. Today I returned to the shop as I am visiting friends in Rehoboth Beach. I approached the door with a friend to order our sandwiches. The owner said hi to my friend who barely knows her. Yet, she acted as if she had never seen me before. It was very strange. Her staff is very nice but being ignored by the owner is very telling. She does not see me 4 times a week any longer since I moved. Therefore, she does not even need to be guarded friendly anymore. Well, that was my last sandwich there. Very poor! I've had other male friends given the cold shoulder at this shop, but only by the owner. Her staff is friendly. Oh, $45.48 for two sandwiches and two watered down iced teas. Brother!! What's the tip for? They throw your sandwich together and you pick it up when your name is called! Loved this place! When we walked in, I believe Lori was actually the cashier. We were welcomed warmly and met with patience and assistance. The cafe is back through the courtyard so make sure you keep walking back when looking for it. Lori and her team were more than helpful when we wanted to make adjustments to our sandwiches. My girlfriend got the Too Healthy For me and I got the Cool As A Cucumber with no olives. They were both tasty and served with tortilla chips.
