We ordered delivery from DoorDash and it was generally a good experience. We felt that a little bit more cream cheese could have been included but my family loved their bagels. They had a lot of different flavor varieties and it was hard to tell what they were at times.

The vibes here are great and the staff is very friendly. My mom lives nearby so I come here every time I visit. I have to say during the offseason my bagel always seems a bit old and stale. My last 3 times here the bagels were ordered toasted for our sandwiches and they were not toasted. Also, the cheese was missed on a sandwich. No big deal but it makes a huge difference when a bagel is not fresh and also not toasted. That being said, during the summer the bagels are fresh and everything is great. Maybe I am a bit of a bagel snob. The coffee is always fresh and you definitely have to try the lox spread. It is incredible.

Great spot for either a sit-down quickie breakfast or a take-away meal if needed. Load up on bagel breakfast sandwiches or a bagel with flavored schmear. Everyone in our crew loved their choices, and with plenty of coffee and tea choices to boot, you just cannot go wrong.

My first visit and certainly not my last - staff was friendly and efficient, and my sesame seed bagel with white fish salad was delicious!

got a sausage egg and cheese on an everything egg bagel and absolutely loved it. really great place for fresh bagels! good service and a nice vibe within the place. def check it out if you are in rehoboth!

Love their onion & everything bagels. But their "veggie" cream cheese didn't have veggies in it - just plain cream cheese with a few tiny flecks of scallions and carrots. (See photo). When I opened the bag - in store- I thought they mistakenly gave me plain cream cheese. I showed it to them and they said that's how they make it. I asked if they could add more chopped veggies - after all I paid $6.50 for "veggie" cc - they said no. I'd already paid and we had ordered two bagels for the road so I did not ask for a refund. Will never come here again for anything other than bagels. Also, the "toasted" bagels were warm but not toasted.

A Solid Bagel Stop in Lewes…read more I've eaten at Surf Bagel before, so on the way home from a recent business trip I decided to stop again and grab breakfast to go. I ordered a sesame bagel with egg, cheese, and scrapple, along with a hash brown. The bagel was nicely toasted and very fresh, which is really what you hope for when you're stopping at a place that specializes in bagels. The sandwich itself was simple but very satisfying. Nothing over the top or crazy fancy, just a well made breakfast sandwich that hit the spot. The service was friendly and quick, and the place itself has a unique feel to it. Inside they sell quite a bit of Surf Bagel merchandise, which gives it a fun local vibe beyond just being a bagel counter. I included a few photos because the shop has a cool look to it. I stopped in around 9 in the morning and it was still pretty busy, even during the off season. That tells me this place probably gets packed during the summer months. Overall, everything was fresh, the staff was nice, and it's definitely a place I'd stop at again when I'm in the area.

The results are super fresh right out of the hot oil bath doughnuts full a warmth and strong flavors to excite your tongue. No wonder it is an institution in this part of the world. Their colors are mostly deep pastel, matched by strong flavors that really stand out. Perhaps because we stopped by on a snowy morning in early December, our box of a half dozen warmed my hands as I walked back to the car parked right in front. We drove a ways before opening the lavender box to sample the first ones. We found them soft and friable, so that they were difficult to pick up in one piece. They fell apart on touching, requiring us to remove them carefully to avoid further crumble onto car seats and floor. Should have grabbed more napkins. Still, despite the minor mess, they did excite the tongue due to their strong flavors and uber freshness. Eaten with hot Java as washdown, it was self explanatory why they were so popular and had been around in the same location of Coastal Highway for decades. Ownership still makes and serves the doughnuts, and was happy to shoot the sh*t with this stranger while working the assembly line. These cake dough boys are the real deal. The line wasn't out the door, but it was busy. I ordered a chai latte and the Rise Up breakfast burrito. My burrito came out in about 10 minutes, but my chai latte took 30 minutes. I understand it's peak season at a beach resort and staffing can be a challenge, but if an establishment cannot provide reasonable timing for orders, they should limit the number of customers they take at once. They continued accepting orders despite clearly being unable to keep up. The gentleman behind me waited 25 minutes with his wife and three children before leaving after paying because he said the wait was "insane," and I agree. For $17.25 for a coffee and a breakfast burrito, the experience was not worth it. Highly recommend avoiding this location during the season. Very disappointed. They can do better.
