This is a high traffic location off a main boulevard in Encino with parking restrictions so I parked a few blocks away on a residential street. My appointment scheduling was no problem, and after checking most of the reviews, I made my appointment a few days away in which I filled out paperwork once I arrived. The office is pleasant, and Nikoo Rezvani, the Optometrist was friendly. Upon finishing my paperwork, my examination took place with Ms Rezani, in which she began with medical questions and then began my eye examination which was standard such as viewing an eye chart, etc. but once she examined my eyes with a flashlight, she held the flashlight much longer than of my multitude past examinations with any of my prior exams with other optometrists, and the blue dye she used was so much that I needed a tissue to dry it off my face. Not only was the dye excessive, I could barely see when I left the office. Once I received my eye prescription from her, I took it to where I had purchased my previous eyeglasses for the past 5 years. When I received my new glasses, I could barely see because my vision was immensely distorted. I inquired as to whether it was crafted accordingly to my prescription. Upon verifying my prescription from Frame Cottage's Optometrist, I was informed by the new Optometry Center that the new lenses were correctly made as prescribed in which I ended up having to my eyes re-examined by the center who made my previous glasses correctly. So not only did I get a bad examination which cost me, in addition to time lost, gas for travel, and excessive eye dye, my vision was highly affected for weeks due to extensive penetration from the light she had on my eyes believing she saw glaucoma. Also, she said she was referring me to see a specialist for what she thought was glaucoma but she never did. read more

Dr. Rezvani is the absolute best! My family and I have been coming to Frame Cottage Optometry for years. Dr. Rezvani is super friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Dr. Nikoo is awesome. Her practice and shop provide an atmosphere of good old fashioned small town service. Year after year she remembers our names, and exams are more like seeing an old friend than going to the doctor. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Rezvani. She is truly a professional, who took the time to make sure my prescription was right, both in function and comfort. I used to get headaches when I wore glasses prescribed by other doctors, but with the ones prescribed at the Frame Cottage I have no issues what so ever. I can wear them for hours with little to no stress on my eyes. She really took the time to examine my eyes, understand my needs, and worked with me to find the most comfortable setting. I walked away from the experience feeling really cared for. The whole staff is really nice, and you can tell they care about their patients and customers, taking their time to make sure all my questions were answered. It was really hard leaving my beloved eye doctor since childhood when I moved to LA from the east coast, I took a gamble with this office, it was the closest place to me that took my insurance and I thought the name was cute. Making my appointment over the phone was impressively pleasant as I usually dread calling doctors' offices. Come to find out, the pleasant woman on the phone was Dr. Nikoo, one of the kindest, most efficient doctors ever. I actually enjoying coming here, the glasses selection is huge and there are many affordable brands covered by insurance. Making appointments are really easy and I've even come in without one before, just calling 10 minutes ahead and she's seen me. Happy to have found her. Parking situation sucks as they don't validate but Veggie Grill is next door, plus most of us only go to the eye doctor once or twice a year anyway. read more

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Nikoo for the past 3 years. She's always helpful and caring; she's not one of those optometrist who doubles as a sales person who tries to get you to buy eyeglass frames from her. Dr. Nikoo is very prompt. She accepts VSP, which is definitely a plus. Parking is a bit difficult depending on the time you visit: either you find a spot on the street (metered or free) or you pay a bit more to park in the lot. read more

Dr. Nikoo is amazing! Not only is her office very stylish and cute, she is extremely sweet and funny. I recently had to come in to make sure my prescription was correct, and she didn't charge me any additional fees and helped me choose my glasses. When you're looking at glasses she doesn't follow you around, she lets you do your thing and you can stay as long as you like to test out your glasses or contacts. When going through the list of choices on my insurance I found Nikoo and realized she treated me years prior. I am so glad to have returned to her. She is honest, patient, kind and personable. I trust her judgment. I just when I chose my new frames, I asked her opinion and thanked her for being honest when we decided on a designer frame that was not the most costly in the store just to make a sale and she replied she is doing her job. I needed new glasses, have my new progressives in a very hip, fashionable Tory Burch frame and love them. Just called her about adjusting to the computer which she explained what needed to be done. I have had Lasix which hurt me in the long run and Nikoo is just great.
