Inside, they have a very modern interior. I specifically stopped by because they are one of the few retailers in California with a selection of District Vision sunglasses. After years of buying glasses online and them not quite fitting, I decided I wanted to invest in a pair of well-crafted glasses tailored to my face shape/size, especially because I wear glasses almost daily. Walked into this shop to make an appointment and they were able to see me immediately. CJ took care of me and was patient while I tried on 50 pairs of glasses, hoping to find a signature look that was also comfortable. What I wasn't anticipating is all of the transition lenses they have and how I would become obsessed with them. So many colors! I purchased a pair of Vada Gators with sapphire transition lenses and when I say they are life-changing...they are life-changing! I can walk outside and they immediately become sunglasses! Then I go inside and they return to clear. Incredible. No longer do I have to bring a pair of prescription sunglasses and switch them out for my glasses when I go in and out of places. The prescription glasses took only two weeks to arrive and I had a fitting with CJ who made sure the glasses were comfortable to wear. And I can come back in for any adjustments. There were 3 customers in the shop a locked glass door. I knocked and was signaled with one finger to wait outside by two employees. A VERY strong smell of urine on a 90 degree day - the smell was so bad I was forced to breathe through my blouse, a girl came to the door half way opened it and I was told I to wait there because they were at capacity- all 3 people . I have a pair of Jacque Marie mage that I've loved so was looking for another pair the store looked great online but it's ridiculous to stand outside where it's clear homeless people live by night by the odor - that is NOT customer service!! because 3 people are in the shop. No! We are in LA there are other options I plan to explore I was just trying to avoid driving to melrose or Santa Monica . It's a shame. I guess you have to time it right to shop here or stand in urine. read more

But it's the service here that sets this place above the rest. Alex is knowledgeable about their inventory so if you describe what you want, he will magically produce variations on your desire. As you try them on, he can tell you all about where they are made, the materials, etc. I appreciate someone who knows their product. Christy, the owner, runs the place with an eye to both high quality products but also high quality customer service. When you buy frames here, they want you to be happy with them for as long as you have them so they will adjust your frames for the life of the frames.
