I've had my eye on Framework for a minute now and finally found the time to come check them out. There's some free parking in the back with easy access to enter. The space has such a fun hipster vibe, with items for sale from local creators and artists. Found my way to the menu to discover that they have rotating specialty coffee flavors as well as your expected lattes, cappuccinos, doppios, etc. I decided on their current special, a baklavatte with a small pastry garnish. The coffee was flavorful and just the right amount of caffeine that didn't cause an afternoon slump. Additionally, I didn't take a picture of the guava cheese pop tart I got, but rest assured it was toasty and delish! They also have an assortment of pastries from Valhalla to cater to those who are seeking vegan options. I worked out of the space for awhile, and enjoyed the atmosphere and people. Although mills 50 is a little drive from where I live, I plan on visiting again soon and recommend to everyone in the area! read more

I wish I'd heard about this cafe sooner! It's highly underrated with the quality drinks, variety of baked goods, gifts and products for sale made by local businesses, and relaxing ambiance. I visited on a Sunday morning and got the seasonal butterfly amaretto milk tea (caffeine free, $7) and a vegan coffee muffin. Love that there isn't any surcharge for nondairy milks. The tea was aesthetically pleasing but tasted like pure sugar, so probably wouldn't get again after getting photos. I enjoyed my muffin warmed, and although it was still room temperature in the middle, the flavors and soft texture were spot on. Overall I thought it was a nice cafe with a chill atmosphere, perfect for meeting up with friends or getting some work done. read more

Cute coffee shop with a variety of drink options. I popped in on a Friday and there were several people working on their laptops, taking work calls, chit chatting. Friendly atmosphere. Plenty of local goods being sold, so you can shop while you wait for your coffee while it's being freshly made. Also - they have a Lil Indies battery recycling container, so that was nice to see as well. The only negative is that I paid $6 for the tiniest cup of coffee. Yes, it was delicious, but I feel like I can't justify the cost for what I get. Unfortunately, it won't be my go-to coffee shop. read more

I found out about this coffee shop by accident, just because I didn't feel like doing starbuck at the time. The shop was clean, beautiful & organized. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Usually I won't do the cold brew, however, I saw something interesting on the menu called kyoto cold brew. Gotta give it a try. It was pretty good tbh, and have me stay up all day lol. Framework exists within an approximately-two-mile radius of a number of excellent coffee shops, including Haan, Lineage, Easy Luck, Craft and Common, Bynx, a couple of Foxtails, and even a pretty decent Starbucks (and likely others I'm forgetting about at the moment). It easily rises to the level of its competition, and I'd say it actually has the best brewed coffee of the group. I like the pay-what-you-wish system; in my case, I tend to pay a little more when I plan to stick around for a bit, and a little less when I'm walking out. That said, it feels a little odd to be asked to make a decision about how much to pay and then have to make another decision as to how much to tip. I have thoughts as to how this could be improved, but that's another conversation for another time. Another area for improvement would be the service. Some of the baristas are friendly, yet others appear somewhere between indifferent and downright surly. Also, my go-to drink is a 12 oz Americano, but I can't always get that here, with the friendlier of the baristas being willing to accommodate, and the surlier insisting it only comes in an 8 oz cup. read more

Inside, it's quick to realize they love to support local artists and businesses. They carry a range of gift-able items , some being handmade. They have a wide range of coffee to choose from and often have seasonal items to offer. What's different? You can choose a price for what you want to pay. Happened upon this adorable, and tasty!, coffee spot today as we were leaving lunch in the mills 50 area. The staff was super friendly and helpful while describing some of the seasonal options as well as their house made syrups. My son tried the tea and tonic but sadly there is no photo because he guzzled it down before I even got my phone out to pay! He did however say it was delicious! I tried the brown sugar chicory iced latte and it was also wonderful. The house made syrup is light and flavorful and doesn't taste overly processed or strong like some syrups can. We also grabbed two of the pop tart style pastries they carry from a local bakery which also had amazing flavor. Was venturing out to find new places and framework was on my list of places to visit. I enjoyed an espresso con leche and my daughter had a matcha latte with oat milk. Like other reviewers have said, coffee prices are not set in stone- pay what you want (with suggested prices). The plain coffee is good. I also tried some of the fancy lattes- brown sugar latte (?) and an ube marshmallow latte. Both were sooo good. And the latte art was on point (one of my lattes had a Pegasus). The shop also sells food (these have set prices). I've tried the pastries and my friends tried a brekkie sandwich. All very tasty. Service is great. Orders always come out quickly. Framework Craft Coffee Bar has a unique pricing system, where they recommend a price range for specific drinks giving you the flexibility to choose what to pay for your visit. I've been here a few times now, and really only come when I'm in a pinch for some caffeine. I've found that the shots pulled for their espresso based drinks typically feel very watery, so it's not always my first stop for coffee in this area. The staff have always been kind, and it's a pretty cool little setup that would be nice to stop by if you're in the area, but I wouldn't necessarily expect the best quality of coffee from this shop based on this experience and others I've had. read more

They do a pay what you want system because they believe that everyone should be able to afford a good cup of coffee. This is so kind and can really make a difference in someone's day. They use high quality coffee and alternate their menus per season. Throughout their menu changes, they create fun, unique, delicious syrups to make the most amazing latte flavors. They also offer a bunch of different milk options which helps caters to different dietary restrictions! I came for the winter menu and right now their main seasonal drink is the Holiday Nog (which uses a homemade, dairy free nog as their milk base!) I got it iced and I was surprised by how much I loved it! I'm not typically into eggnog but I was intrigued by the description of the drink and I'm totally glad I went for it. I had the Baklavatte which was honestly the best coffee I've had in Orlando in a long time. It was perfectly sweet but not too much, creamy, and the coffee was excellent. The best coffee in Orlando, hands down. I've been going to Danny's shop since 2016 when he had Vita Luna Cafe in both the old Spacebar and Lil Indies. Framework is one of the best examples of a community rooted success story here in Orlando. And on top of that, they actually do the best coffee here in town. We have lots of solid options and Framework may not be the most convenient to get to for everyone, but it's always worth going out of the way for. The food is also pretty good too and they have a wide array of options for vegan and gluten free. read more
