They could do better with keeping up with their in stock items. However I do enjoy visiting this Target store as it is easy to get in and out when you need something quickly, and of good quality.

She always hand washed and air dried on the few occasions that they needed cleaning. None the less, due to the poor quality of the garment, they deteriorated. She drove the hour to the store and waited over a half an hour at the understaffed customer service area to exchange them. She was told that she would need the original cash register receipt to do the exchange. I could tell by the smug look on the sales associate's face that she knew that the chances of her having that receipt were non existent. My wife returned two weeks later, again doing there hour drive both ways and waiting again over a half an hour at the customer service area presenting not only the receipt, but the warrantee only to be told that the management had RETROACTIVELY revoked the lifetime warrantee. They were totally unapologetic about their despicable business practices. Their attitude was basically that's just the way it is. Get over it. This heinous behavior shows a total lack of business ethics. Anyone who does business with this criminal enterprise after reading this review, deserves to be ripped off buying crap garments at expensive prices with a company that does not stand by the products it sells.

Confusing sentence and different from most Yelp reviews? Yeah probably; this is the first time I do one of these, and also - welcome to a snippet of how my brain works... you're welcome? I've been shopping at DY Northpark for a couple years now. Aside from wearing the jewelry (I can't format this message the way I want to, but imagine there's a strikethrough over "jewelry") art pieces on my body daily, you wouldn't expect me to be a DY customer. I'm blessed enough to have worked in an industry that allows me to make enough money to invest in art for myself and my loved ones, but my preferred attire is some form of American Eagle and/or Target shorts and t-shirts. Northpark has an AE, likely for teenagers, but that's literally the only NP clothing store I've shopped at other than Express for the sole purpose of wanting a new suit for an interview with a small company after escaping from 17 years of corporate life. I say all this because... I know I don't look like "a David Yurman client", and I say proudly: I never will. This story matters to me because when I showed up at this incredible store to buy my first chain ($300 gray titanium box chain) a couple years ago, I had no idea the journey I would start. A journey that has not only helped me reconnect with my love of art that I never realized I had because I spent the first 22 years of my life doing basically nothing other than playing baseball and going to school (in that order), but a journey that has helped me realize that there is nothing more important than human connection. And that when you connect with other incredible, loving, wise humans... you can accomplish anything you've ever wanted to. Dennis is the person who helped me start this journey. Because as dapper as that wonderful man is, he NEVER EVER made me feel the way I assumed/was worried I would feel the moment I walked into DY the first time. Like this place was not at all "my place", and that everyone working in the store would know it the second I walked in. Dennis had absolutely no idea who I was, and I had no idea who he was. Now knowing the type of money people spend at that store, I believe Dennis probably assumed he may never see me again, as I don't imagine some random dude in shorts, t-shirt, hat & sneakers buying the cheapest box chain DY offers, is usually the type of person that comes back. But I kept going back. Because of Dennis. Because Dennis treated me no differently from how he treats every single person I have seen him work "with". He is a true partner in anyone and everyone's journey of style, building confidence, investing in art, or in my case... building relationships and connections with the best humans there are. Two years later, I believe I am a "regular" and get greeted by name and with a smile from other amazing people like JILLIAN, Marcus, Ty, Kristin, Muluken, Donovan, and others. Many times, I'm with my family & extended family, which includes a baby, multiple toddlers, a 6 year old that enjoys running around and having fun... another thing I thought would be "an issue" because of how "rich folks" usually respond to "riff raff" (I'm showing my age lol) from young people. Have the amazing people at DY NP made me feel crappy for bringing them? Nope. Have they smiled and talked to all the kiddos the way I'd expect great people to? Absolutely. I've also made sure to learn the names of Virginia, Chris, and Larkin. No, I'm not trying to win a popularity contest, as I dress a certain way because I literally do not like spot lights. But do I want every single great person in this store led by Kristin to know that I care about them the way they seem to care about me? Hell yes I do. My partner (I always say "partner" and strangers eventually think I'm talking about a man, but no, my partner is very much a female, and my ex-wife/bff is also a female lol) calls these types of speeches / conversations "tributaries" because I always branch off into multiple streams... but I like to think I always make it back to the river at the appropriate time, even though most people don't have the patience to read through something like this. Admittedly, I'm the same unless "the hook" got me at the beginning. If the hook got you and you're still here, let me get back to the river for you... If you buy jewelry/art and don't shop at David Yurman in NorthPark, I'd say you're doing it wrong. Full stop. Am I guaranteeing your first experience will be perfect? Of course not... that's not possible to guarantee. Am I saying that you will eventually meet some of the most amazing people you can ever "shop" with because of people like Dennis, Kristin & everyone I named above? Fuck yeah I am. I remember a few months back, I had visited here to purchase a small pinky ring ( not very expensive compared to the huge pricey selection they have ) but that is only to say that Donovan made it feel like I was walking out the store with a million dollars worth of jewelry. He killed that. The presentation, the offering of a glass of champagne, the set up, and even him positioning the bag in front of the David Yurman sign inside just so I can get a good photo was just incredible. It was memorable. I had returned with my boyfriend the 3rd week of December to purchase his first DY piece-- PRAYING Donovan was working, but instead was helped by Jillian. Horrible experience. She said his bracelet was out of stock throughout all locations and when I double checked if the Plano location had it, she said no. I checked on the website immediately as we were checking out and saw it said IN STOCK. Huh... that's funny. When I confronted her about it, she stuttered and honestly, I forgot what she said. She did not offer water, no glass of champagne, no photo op, no nothing. It was just a sale. EXTREMELY disappointing for my boyfriend's FIRST DY piece and our Christmas present experience. It was not supposed to go that way. After we left, my boyfriend noticed she did not spell the shipping address correctly AT ALL. We went back to have her FIX the address-- so extremely irritated and just so freakin disappointed. Returned 2 weeks later and ONLY wanted Donovan. He proceeded to help me and my father with our Christmas shopping and again, he did not disappoint. He is truly amazing. He never makes me feel like we are taking too long, always suggests different pieces, compliments, offers beverages during the experience, and truly is remarkable. I brought it into the store and the same style did the same thing in front of the manager. She said I wasn't zipping the coat up properly and then tried to give me the lowest refund possible even after presenting her with the card we used to purchase originally for processing the refund. This coat screwed me in NYC and Chicago when I really needed the zipper to work. Frustration with the product and service (lack thereof after) is an understatement. So much for "lifetime guarantee". And I'm pretty sure I know how to zip up a coat. And I keep coming back for more insanity. I reluctantly go on the site to replace the coat with my credit for another trip to Chicago, paid expedited shipping only to learn because I ordered it on a Sunday and it confirmed receipt by Tuesday it really meant 2-3 days the CSR said so I SHOULD have it by tomorrow.
